Oct 11,2023Thank you for the sample bag. My cat would not eat it but she is so fussy I am not surprised. I should have maybe kept it longer and tried a little bit at a time but once she makes up her mind she almost never changes it. The reason for the high rating anyway is because it is wonderful what you are doing to try to change the terrible situation of all these pets needing meat and farm animals having to suffer to feed them. So I gave the food and coupons and pamphlet to a shelter here called PetSave and my hope is that they will want to look further into it. I know the founder cares about farm animals too, not just cats and dogs like some people. Their cats will love it no doubt. I could not attach the link to their website but the shelter is PetSave in Lively, Ontario. Thank you for the work you do.

Oct 09,2023I look after a stray cat and have noticed a marked improvement since I first started feeding him a few months ago. From a sick cat, it has become very lively, its original rough coat now glossy and soft, and eyes clearer and mucus-free. Thank you Nature's Hug for your growing reputation as an environmentally conscious company that takes such responsibility for the development of healthily fed pets free from toxic substances known to be destructive to them.

Sep 29,2023Hi Nature's Hug. We just started using our first bag of Indoor Cat Food. We are still mixing it with our cat's previous food. Both our cats are eating it and enjoying it. We are a family of 4 plant-based humans so we already put a high value on vegan food (for environmental and ethical reasons). Honestly, we never thought vegan cat food was a possibility. Then we read an article recently about vegan cat food being proven healthy and we found your website. Our cats are still eating wet (canned) meat-based food for breakfast, but we are gradually switching their dry dinner food component over to your brand. We are also pleased that you are a Canadian company.

Sep 28,2023Étant végétarienne et ayant des animaux qui ne digèrent pas les grains, je souhaitais qu’un tel produit existe. Quand j’ai découvert cette compagnie, qui en plus d’être locale, utilise seulement des aliments frais de qualité et ne teste pas en laboratoire sur des animaux, j’ai tout simplement pensé que c’était trop beau pour être vrai. J’ai commandé des échantillons gratuits sur le site internet en me disant que mes animaux n’aimeraient sûrement pas mais finalement ils adorent!!! Ils tassent leur nourriture au poisson pour prendre seulement celle-ci. Aussi ils la digèrent bien, puis le format de croquettes pour gros chien est vraiment super. Je suis aux anges!

Sep 18,2023I got this food for my 2 kittens and initially, I wasn't sure if they would like it or not. But luckily they seem to enjoy it! Overall, here's what I like about the product: - It's meat, dairy, and egg-free: Reduced suffering to animals and the environment. - It's hypoallergenic: I don't have to worry if my cats have any common allergies. - It contains cranberries: Good for acidifying urine, especially since plant-based kibbles are more likely to alkalize their urine. - It has many listed benefits: Reassuring that this food is a great option for my babies. I also LOVE that customer service was nice enough to ship a bag to me here in the US despite not being available outside of Canada and Asia, and the first bag was free! In addition, they gave me a free mug and a little baggie as a gift. The best part is, shipping was FREE! Overall, great customer service. Now here are the only things I don't like: - It's not 100% vegan: The added D3, and allegedly the taurine and B12 are needlessly derived from animals (even though things like taurine are usually synthetically produced in cat food anyway, so I don't know why this is necessary). So unfortunately I can't say this is a vegan/cruelty-free product, only a plant-based product. But, they never advertised that they were vegan, let alone doing it for the animals. They are, however, doing it for the environment. But even then, the sources of these added nutrients are probably worse for the environment than their non-animal-derived sources. Luckily, these animal products probably make up only a tiny percentage of the food, so it's still way better for the environment and still significantly reduces the suffering of animals. This is probably the safest and most trustworthy plant-based cat food out there, and feeding a cat a plant-based diet already feels risky in itself. This food both reduces risk for your cat and reduces suffering for other animals. But I do hope that in the distant future, they will consider finding non-animal sources for these additives. - They don't sell anything other than kibble: This is a bummer because it would be nice to add some variety to their diet like canned foods. For now, all they eat is this with a few dental/snack treats daily. I will have to look elsewhere for canned foods. Overall, I give this 5/5 stars because the benefits outweigh the risks. I'm going to experiment with other plant-based cat foods as well once my kittens are all grown up, but if those don't work out, I'm 100% sticking with this.

Sep 16,2023At first our dog took some time to get used to the food. Could be the taste and texture. This is what happened when we gave the food to her for the first time. She took 1 piece out and spit it out. Offered it to her again, crunched it and then spit it out again. She then went to the water dish. In other words she doesn't like this food on its own.

Oct 14,2023Nos deux dalmatiens ayant plusieurs allergies ainsi que des cristaux urinaires vont vraiment mieux depuis qu’ils mangent cette nourriture. Ils sont en pleine forme et en plus ils l’adorent. La représentante Nancy nous a sauvé en venant livrer un sac directement à la maison parce qu’il y avait une rupture d’inventaire dans notre secteur.
