Feb 22,2025I needed a paper statement for tax purposes and requested same as I don't have a printer. Was told that as an internet bank they don't issue paper statements. Fair enough but as this was a one off I thought they would oblige. Not very helpful!

Feb 22,2025Joined fixed rate isa. Gave them my nominated account. Sent my first deposit & downloaded the app. Got an email saying my deposit was from a different account other than my nominated account. It wasn't. They wrote back with an example. Totally different account to mine. I contested this & they then said it was an error at their end. They had typed in a 'wrong digit', but the whole account number was wrong. Alarm bells started ringing & I closed down the account. Sticking to well known banks & societies in the future.

Feb 21,2025As an easy access account it does exactly as it "says on the tin" which is very helpful. The rate of interest dropped with effect from 20 February by 0.25% in line with the Bank of England rate cut. Some others banks/building societies have not yet done so, so competition wise, OakWood are not quite as attractive.
