What is OKA all about? Simply put, it’s a love affair with living well. Since the very beginning, we’ve been on a mission to create things that make time spent with friends and family more memorable. We believe that’s the secret to living beautifully: enjoying it.
OKA started small, with three women bringing unique designs from the Far East to shoppers in the West. Lady Annabel Astor, a serial entrepreneur on a mission to find special items to decorate her holiday home with, invited two friends along: her sister-in-law Sue Jones, whose decorating pedigree included stints at Jasper Conran and Colefax and Fowler, and Lucinda Waterhouse, a skilled horticulturist whose company made exquisite faux flowers. Together they set out to create a catalogue of charming home upgrades.
From the start, the OKA team has called on talented artisans from all over the world to bring its ideas to life. Our furniture and homewares prioritise beauty, comfort and style, but we choose items for their integrity, not because they fit a prescribed look. The magic of OKA is the mix: hand-picked global treasures, rich textures and patterns, and timeless furniture profiles. It’s ever-changing but unwaveringly British; elegant and easy-going; sophisticated but never stiff.
And our name? OKA is a phonetic take on ochre, a colour that nods to the East, yet feels innately British. A blend of cultures and aesthetics working in perfect harmony, which is at the heart of everything we do.
Building on over two decades of collections, 13 experiential stores in the UK, a website, and an ideas-packed magazine, we’ve become a destination for lovers of home, season after season. And the more we continue to follow our passion for design, the more we inspire others to find theirs.
Brooke at the Fulham Road store helped us create a faux flower arrangement using our own small vase. Brooke was endlessly patent and talented and we are delighted with the result. Thank you! Janet and Ben

Order two lamps and shades. One perfectly fine, the other arrived with a non-UK compatible plug. I emailed with the issue. I was asked to send photographic proof, which I did. No response. Sent a chaser email (particularly important as I was only going to be at the delivery destination for 2 weeks). No response. Called customer services for the lady to tell me she had been on holiday and the email would not have been monitored in her absence - despite this being a CS generic address (!). Was unable then to send the replacement to me before I would be leaving the property (“we don’t send things by courier”). Suggested I take it back to a store or take it with me to my permanent location for the exchange to happen there. So far, no resolution Altogether an exceptionally underwhelming experience - I expected that a brand such as OKA would bend over backwards to solve their operational issues without inconvenience to the customer. Not quite sure how a failure in their QA process (how could a lamp with an incorrect plug have been tagged as being in a UK stock allocation in the first place?) has led to so much inconvenience for me. How can a CS function operate such that tickets are not monitored during staff holidays? Thoroughly disappointing.
Bought a lovely Pentomino cabinet with the help of Alexa G. She went out of her way to help and advise me about it’s dimensions, how to secure it to the wall and storing it til we move back into our home. She also offered 15% off as I was a new customer. Great service. Very happy to have bought at Oka.

We had a lovely morning in Oka Knutsford having been tempted by the 25 percent off .promotion . We were helped again by Joe who went to so much trouble for us ,helping us choose a number of items all of which i’m thrilled with , he is so knowledgable about the stock and his friendly manner is a delight . It was also so nice he remembered us from our last visit. All the assistants were lovely and made us and our cockerpoo very welcome . The store is full of beautiful things displayed in lovely room settings which helps you envisage it in your home . It really is a pleasure shopping there and the free parking just outside the store is a bonus .

Oka your website comes up as unsafe when I try and use it, however managed to purchase a beautiful rug with no problems, came within the allotted time, drivers / delivery guys Tony & Chris very friendly and helpful, turned up when they said they would, overall excellent experience. Thank you Oka
I ordered an expensive piece of art from OKA via Klarna. The item arrived, but unfortunately wasn’t suitable so I asked for a collection. This was arranged on the 7th Aug, where I received confirmation it had left my house. 3 weeks on, I have been receiving emails from Klarna asking for more information as OKA hasn’t paid the money back to Klarna and they were asking if the item had been sent back. I phoned CS today to chase, but surely with a luxury brand like this, I shouldn’t have to do that, and 3 weeks on seems excessive not to get this sorted until I phoned. Since my call to CS I have received confirmation from Klarna the money has been returned, but i’ve been charged £60 for delivery, and then another £30 for collection. I believe £90 is expensive. This £30 fee to return the item was never explained to me when I phoned up today, and when I have purchased from OKA before, you normally receive a free return on all items. My other concern is that OKA US is in financial difficulty and is filing for bankruptcy. Being a customer for many years, I also do worry what is happening with this company, as I do like the products, but I also have outstanding orders that are waiting for stock to arrive. Perhaps OKA should be reaching out to their UK customers who have outstanding orders to reassure them there is no issues in the UK. As of 22 Aug, OKA has requested further information regarding this order. I’m not sure to what end, but I have obliged and sent them my details as well as the order number.
Amazing experience in the Oka Godstone branch, the customer service was exceptional from the minute we walked in the door, Noleen was so knowledgeable regarding all the furnishing, so friendly a pleasure to shop there.

I absolutely love my go-to design home, Godstone. The team are truly amazing, and every visit brings me immense pleasure. I've never been disappointed with the quality of my purchase. Although I may need to tweak a scratch or two, the huge discount I receive makes it worth it for the interior design gems I find. Noleen, the manager, is a total star!

We were looking for quite a few items to finish off a garden dining area and Kathryn helped us to curate a scheme that worked together really well. We are very pleased with the end result. Kathryn was patient, creative and a pleasure to deal with.
