Project Destined, founded by a former Carlyle Group executive, has partnered with 250+ leading real estate firms and 300+ universities around the country to provide diverse students with internship opportunities to explore ownership through live real estate deals. Project Destined is a unique real estate program that provides young adults from underrepresented communities with the opportunity to learn about commercial real estate through a hands-on, immersive experience. The program is designed to inspire and educate the next generation of real estate professionals by exposing them to all aspects of the industry, from property management to deal-making.

Dec 07,2024I had a fantastic experience with the Project Destined CRE 2 Fundamentals: Valuation course led by Cedric Bobo. This session provided not only valuable insights into real estate valuation but also a wonderful opportunity to network and collaborate with team members in the breakout rooms. The time allocated for working through problems and engaging in small talk with peers made the learning process feel more interactive and enjoyable. Mr. Bobo is an excellent instructor who explains concepts with clarity and uses great examples to break down complex terms. I appreciated how he regularly checked in with us to ensure we were following along. However, I wish we could receive a copy of the slides during the session to write notes directly on them. This might just be a personal preference, but it would help with staying organized and retaining the information better. One area for improvement would be pacing toward the end of the session. We often rush to wrap things up, which can leave some concepts feeling unfinished. I hope in future sessions we can take a bit more time to walk through the material after the breakout activities so everything feels concrete and fully understood. Overall, it was a great experience, and I’m looking forward to the next session!
