Project Destined, founded by a former Carlyle Group executive, has partnered with 250+ leading real estate firms and 300+ universities around the country to provide diverse students with internship opportunities to explore ownership through live real estate deals. Project Destined is a unique real estate program that provides young adults from underrepresented communities with the opportunity to learn about commercial real estate through a hands-on, immersive experience. The program is designed to inspire and educate the next generation of real estate professionals by exposing them to all aspects of the industry, from property management to deal-making.

Feb 02,2025Overall, I had a fantastic experience and truly enjoyed every aspect of it. Everything was well-organized, engaging, and insightful. However, if there’s one aspect that I believe could be improved, it would be the duration of the breakout rooms. While they were incredibly valuable for collaboration and discussion, I found them to be a bit too short. A slightly longer breakout session would have allowed us to not only work through the questions more thoroughly but also foster stronger connections with our peers. Since we were primarily focused on completing the tasks within the limited time, we didn’t have the opportunity to engage in deeper conversations or build rapport with our group members. Having more time would have made the experience even more enriching by enabling a balance between structured discussions and meaningful interactions. That said, aside from this minor limitation, the overall experience was phenomenal, and I truly appreciated the opportunity to participate!
