The service provided was excellent from start to finish. Within a few hours, I received three calls - one from the owner and two from the staff. They guided, helped, and supported me throughout the process, providing me with exceptional service. Mr. Talat, the owner of the business, has 21 years of experience in this field and has been running the business for the same amount of time. I highly recommend this business due to the outstanding service and Mr. Talat's expertise.

Provided me with one of the most reliable services out there, better than slow and ordinary services that i usually used, and would really prefer this one to the ones looking.

I recently had an experience with Remit Home while attempting to transfer money to Pakistan, and I wanted to share the details for others considering their service. Account Creation and Initial Contact: I created an account on Remit Home’s portal attracted by their competitive rates for transferring money to Pakistan. Once my account was set up, I started receiving persistent calls from their staff, urging me to initiate a transaction. The staff called me at around 9 pm one night and then again the next day around 12/1 pm, which I found a bit intrusive. Transaction Initiation: I decided to proceed with a transaction to send PKR 300,000 to my father's account, which amounted to GBP 842.70. I initiated the transaction, and the funds were promptly deducted from my account. Verification Issues: After initiating the transaction, Remit Home requested further verification of my identity. Despite providing a utility bill, bank statement, driving license, and a letter from HMRC, they claimed they still couldn’t verify my address. I even offered additional documents, but they kept insisting that they couldn’t confirm my address using their tools. Refund Request: Given the verification issues, I asked them to cancel the transaction and refund my money. They refused, stating that reversing the transaction could be fraudulent. I tried to explain that I was asking for the funds to be returned to the same account and card from which they were deducted, but they did not comply. Contacting the Owner: In my frustration, I managed to find the contact details of the owner of Remit Home through publicly available information. I called him at around 9-9:30 pm the same day I initiated the transaction. He kindly took my call and listened to my concerns for about 30-45 minutes. He assured me he would look into it the next day. I also tried contacting him via Facebook and LinkedIn. Response from the Owner: True to his word, the owner called me the next day but informed me that they couldn’t reverse the transaction. He suggested I raise a chargeback request with my bank. This was disappointing, especially since my bank initially stated that they couldn’t initiate a chargeback for money transfer services. After much persistence, I managed to get the chargeback process started, but for a while, I was caught in limbo between my bank and Remit Home. Regulatory Involvement: I escalated the matter to the FCA and the Financial Ombudsman. The FCA stated that they couldn’t interfere with operational issues, and it fell under the purview of the Financial Ombudsman, who began their investigation. Prolonged Resolution: The transaction was initiated on 16 May, and I finally received my funds back on 26 June. For 40 days, I was without access to my hard-earned money, causing significant stress and inconvenience. Lack of Communication: During this period, I sent several emails to Remit Home but did not receive any responses. I made numerous phone calls, but these were largely unproductive and failed to resolve the issue. Learning and Advice: While Remit Home offers competitive rates for transferring money to Pakistan, I recommend caution if you are a new user. Consider doing a small test transaction with £50-£100 to mitigate the risk of significant financial inconvenience if issues arise. Final Interaction: Coincidentally, the owner contacted me on the same day I finally received my funds back. We had a productive call where he shared the steps they took on their end and explained their procedures. He later sent me an email with evidence showing that the chargeback request was received on 21 May and that they didn’t challenge it, believing the matter was resolved. This communication came only after the Financial Ombudsman intervened. In conclusion, I have tried to provide an unbiased account of my experience for others to make an informed decision. Their rates are competitive but there are other vendors who offer better rates, but ensure your account is fully verified and consider a test transaction before committing larger amounts.
