I signed up with Resort Advisory Group in the winter of 2021. They told me that while they couldn't guarantee that they could help me exit my timeshare they could tell me that they hadn't run into a time share that they were not able to help their customer exit. They also said it would be approx a one year process. The did almost nothing. They are almost impossible to get ahold of and they have you pay a law firm to write a "formal demand letter"....which doesn't mean diddly squat. They also have you sign up with Smart Credit to send monthly challenges about the negative hits to your credit once you stop paying the timeshare company. This was the ONLY thing that was helpful. Both TransUnion and Experian removed the dings to my credit. Equifax however WILL NOT remove the dings to your credit report until 5 years has passed so sending a monthly letter to them won't do you any good at all.
Ruined my credit, refused refund. Definitely a scam. Suggested I stop paying my timeshare payments, and that their partnered US Credit Bureau company would fix any dings. Gave them 2.5 years to fix and never did, and It's Credit Bureau said that's not what they said but why else for I pay $600 for the useless repair service.
They came to our house and told us that it would take no longer than 18 months. It’s now 2.5 years later and we still get monthly bills from Wyndham and they continue to ding our credit as it just happened again a couple days ago. They finally sent a certified letter to Wyndham from the lawyer about a month ago. Yet still haven’t heard anything I’m constantly calling as the communication from RAG is horrible. I’ve heard all kinds of excuses from them as well. This experience has been a nightmare
In 2020, I paid Resort Advisory Group aap 8,000.00 to cancel my timeshare with Diamond Resorts. For the next two year, RAG had no action, but plenty of excuses including COVID, lac of staff, etc. Finally, in 2022, I received a letter from RAG stating Diamond had cancelled my contract. Guess what. Diamond says they have no such agreement.RAG says I will get a cancellation agreement. To this day Nothing from RAG or Diamond, and still pay very month for Diamond not to dump my credit. I still call RAG, but have received a return call yet. Last calltoRAG was 4/8/24. I do not recommend using Resort Advisory Group
I had to give them a star to be able to write in the space. They take your money mess up your credit score because they promise they will take care of you. They all lie, if you get caught up in the moment with the lies from timeshares you are better off trying to offload it yourself. It has been almost two years and I am worse off now than when it began! Stay away from RAG crooks without guns
Resort Advisory Group is a rip off. I entrusted them to help me cancel my timeshare. All they did along with the so called attorney they have on payroll was to wait for the timeshare company to contact me. They never advocated on my behalf to cancel my timeshare. After 2 to 3 years after the timeshare was foreclosed on by the company they send me saying my timeshare has been canceled. Little did I know it wasn't canceled it was foreclosed on and was reported as such on my credit report. They are a scam and rip off. Beware.
This company is as bad as the timeshares. Save your time and money. Get a real lawyer on your own or just wait until the timeshare is ready to settle. Thats what they do and wont get u the best deal.
Result as promised. Great communication throughout.
Resort advisory were detailed orientated and wonderful group of people. I was relieved to feel the support of a group of people that had my needs fulfilled. Great to work with and I am very happy with their professionalism & great spirit. Thank you Resort Advisors, best team ever.
They did what was needed. I just think there should be updates every month, even if nothing is happening at the moment. But he outcome was definitely positive.
Resort Advisory Group eliminated our timeshare concerns quickly. We provided them the documents necessary and they did the work. Their staff was fantastic to work with, responding to our questions in a timely manner. I would use them again and have recommended them to several friends.
From start to finish, working with Resort Advisory Group was a delight. This timeshare was a huge financial burden for me, and I'm glad I chose Resort Advisory Group to help me get rid of it. They deliver exactly what they promise!!
We attended a meeting in Hilton Head and we're misinformed on a lot of different things. We were not well educated on all the maintenance fees that we were going to have to pay. We felt as though we were pressured into buying something that we were not ready for. We extended our ñinety minute presentation and was misinformed on the cost of our package. I have had a stroke since then and unable to work as much. I have since retired and income has decreased. I have sent them a letter and they have refused to reason. We have stopped payments. They said that we must find a buyer and sellout. Due to Covid 19 and health issues, I am not able to financially keep up with economy with these prices. I appreciate what help that I can get. Thank you.
All around a great experience! They made this seemingly overwhelming process very manageable. We always received prompt and professional responses. Highly recommend them to anyone who is trying to get out of their timeshare!
Well it was expensive. But yes less than a years worth of payments. It did take almost 18 months(Pandemic delays) but they did what they said they could do which was get me out of my Hilton resorts fiasco!! Thanks RESORT ADVISORY GROUP! I would definitely recommend them. Joe B
We are very pleased with Resort Advisory Group. They helped get us out of our timeshare problems. They did an excellent job and we have no complaints. We would recommend them to anyone suffering from timeshare problems.
It is so rewarding to know that all our Time Shares are all over! Fantastic help with Resort Advisory and our attorney McCloskey. Everyone was was professional, knowledgeable and hard working. So appreciate all who worked on our Westin timeshares! Awesome work!!
Through the process of extricating ourselves from a contract with Hilton Grand Vacations RAG was the third company who worked on our behalf. The entire process was over three years long with RAG holding the watch for a bit over a year. The team at RAG did provide quarterly updates, often without headway as HGV did not respond. The one area we wish we had better guidance on is to stop making payments immediately once representation is established and the credit protection service is in place. The whole process is very unstructured in our opinion so be prepared to wait, and wait... In the end RAG was the only service that succeeded and we appreciate that we are out from under the HGV anvil.
Angry, depressed, desperate. These are just a few words describing me before Resort Advisory Group took on my case with Wyndham, and in half the time they predicted, I was free, having received that letter from Wyndham releasing me from all financial responsibility to them, saving me many thousands of dollars and years of misery. Thanks, again RAG. An A+ rating is not nearly enough!

Feb 25,2025As many have said, we paid about $8,000 to this organization to get us out of a timeshare. The process was supposed to take about 12 months. We stopped paying the monthly fees as directed and paid for the credit protection. We would get monthly emails from credit protection saying they disputed the timeshare attempt to put a derogatory remark on our credit. About 8 months after signing up with this organization, we got a letter from the timeshare saying they would let us out of the contract if we forfeit the 'property.' We signed, got it notarized, and we were done. Here's the problem: RAG continued to email and call me, saying they were [still] working on it. I didn't mention to them that we were out of it. That was 2 years ago, and to this day, they are still emailing me with that same message. If they were the ones that had anything to do with getting us out of the contract, wouldn't they know that? They scammed us out of $8,000, and because they are not accredited with the BBB (surprise, surprise), there is no recourse to get our money back. All I can do is warn others - DON'T TRUST OR GET INVOLVED WITH RAG. For any of these so-called timeshare exit companies, do your homework, particularly research if they are a part of the BBB. I wish I had before my $8,000 mistake, but I depended on the positive reviews - which may not even be real.
