I spoke to the very rude manager today. Despite customer assistant Manpreet and Reshma promising to call back, neither replied. The company sent the wrong dress and yet the manager refused to compensate my loss. He is not suited to be a manager of a company big or small. He has no sense of humour, no respect for customers and neither does he know the difference between "discount" and "give it for free". He has confirmed to pay a mere £2.50 refund by the end of today, which is not even 25%!!! This is the refund for their mistake! He works in a fashion industry, but was complaining that there is no difference between the maroon and black. If that is the case why make two different colours the first place. What a load of nonsense. Even after being a regular customer, this is the service I received from him. Well he has lost all customers from my family and I will be uploading my review online for customers to read.
Taken over a £100 no confirmation of a order. Disgusting thieves.
i would write -5 if I could I had the same experience as another user. I spent hours on the website and I was charged for an order that was not placed. They said they could not process it because it was not in stock and then they charged me anyway. An email confirmation of the order was NOT sent, yet I have been charge 6 times with different orders, becauseI kept trying with different outfits. Many years ago ( maybe 15 years) i used Rupali and it was good. I'd never use or recommend them now
Very rude staff and a broken website. I put an order through for 1 dress, but it said my order didn't go through. So I put my details in again and again. It still gave me no order confirmation so I called up to see what happened. 4 orders (OF THE SAME DRESS) went though, I spoke to someone called Andi and he said he'd give a refund on 3 of the orders and keep 1. There was only one email of one order being refunded so I asked for the two other ones. He got angry, started shouting and said "I'll refund all of it then and you'll get nothing. Don't shop on Rupali again then. Go shop somewhere else. I'll refund it all then you won't have to worry huh? What else do you want? I refunded all three?". I explained that not all three order refunds were shown in the CONFIRMATION EMAIL and that it would be nice to have it in writing. He got angry and kept repeating that he did. Then I said "Okay, I understand you say you've refunded the 3, I just wanted it in writing ... in the email"... He then continued to shout at me ... and told me to not shout when I wasn't, in all honesty I was quite and observant of the emails I was getting and I was trying to work things out. He then continued to threaten that I'd get nothing (this is an order for my mother for Eid) so he was getting personal ... there is still NO confirmation of the 1 order coming through. In my opinion, men like that who have anger issues should not be working in customer service.
I wouldn't even give this company 1 star. Most disgusting, incompetent, unprofessional company I have ever came across. Please stay clear because I don't want this happening to anyone else. I wanted to order two suits for Eid. Everytime I clicked on the suits and put it in the basket and clicked order, a message would pop up saying "order can't be placed, the suit is no longer available." I tried four times with different suits but the same message kept popping up. I then left it and thought I would try elsewhere. This was late in the evening and thought I'd quickly check my online banking account. To my astonishment Rupali had taken £165.30 out of my account without an order even being placed. I sent an email, whatsapp message to them and an Instagram message demanding I get my money back as this is gross misconduct taking money out someone's account without an order being placed. Someone called me this morning and said apparantly it's my fault the money got took out my account and how Rupali receive over 200 orders a day and this has never happened before. Even though a refund has been processed which will take 4-7 working days, it is still a huge amount of money to be deducted especially during this pandemic when money is tight. The guy also said £165 isn't really a lot of money and he doesn't understand why I'm angry about this. Please avoid this joke of a company. I don't want this happening to anyone else because it's been an awful experience. I have now told my family, friends and in-laws to never order from Rupali again. Maybe the owners of this company need to train their staff to be compassionate and understanding and not blame customers
ABSOLUTELY VILE COMPANY❌❌❌❌ Steer clear at all costs. First of all, I purchased goods for around £130 as all the stores are closed due to lockdown and we generally send things to Pakistan for the poor. Upon going on the site, I realised that their online selection had drastically reduced to near enough nothing but a few suits- some of which looked really beautiful online but others that looked 110% tacky. I tried to pay with card and it wouldn’t accept payment despite there being money on the card as it was a student account so I placed an order over the phone and they requested bank transfer. Upon paying for and receiving my order, I noticed the first problem- my order was missing several items and the clothing sizes were sooo off that they weren’t worthy of sewing over or wearing. The clothes looked nothing like they did online. The material was cheap, nasty and really tacky. It looked so bad that I felt embarrassed at the thought of donating them as it would’ve been offensive to those receiving the products. This being said 3/11 items I ordered were actually decent and I decided that I’d keep. Next, I decided to email rupali before sending the items back so that I can notify them of the issues with my order. In my first email I told them that I’d be keeping 3-4 items and that my order was missing the scarf and trousers from one suit, another suit was completely missing and the others I did not like in general but the ones I decided to keep were perfect. I waited around 24 hours for a response only to get the most rudest reply in which the incompetent rupali team said “we have checked our cctv, the issue is on your end, we won’t refund you if you don’t send the shalwar and dupatta with the return as was sent everything perfectly” LOL. let me just state how unprofessional and rude it is to speak to people in this manner, not to mention CUSTOMERS. I CAN’T SEND BACK ITEMS I DID NOT RECEIVE LOOOL. Now we’re in dispute and it seems as though they do not wish to refund me for their faults😂I don’t see how it’s fair for me to have to pay for items I didn’t get or don’t like? I find it rather amusing that they are in the wrong yet they have the audacity to give cheek like it’s cool. They’re just money hungry. UPDATE- THEY DID NOT GIVE A REFUND EVEN THOUGH ITEMS WERE SENT BACK AND SIGNED FOR BY THEM- THEY CLAIMED THEY DIDNT RECEIVE THE ITEMS. SCAM SCAM SCAM!!!!
Ordered items received items dammaged When returned refused to refund or exchange They were so rude Will never shop from there again They kept my items They kept my money
Have used the website a couple of times for small items. Ordered a salwar suit for the first time which was described as Lucknowi Chikankari. What I received was nothing like Lucknowi Chikankari. It was cheap machine embroidery on cheap Georgette material. I returned the items and asked for a refund on postage (which cost me almost £8) as the items are not as described but the customer service blatantly refused and has not responded to my emails after refunding just the value of the suits. Absolute rubbish.
I would have rated 0 if it was an option, all rupali does is brag about the shop and it's name like it's a very massive clothing place but all they do is sell after showing or delivering an alternative suit then they don't look back or answer to any complaints or enquiries.
Ordered two kurti tops and both had huge wholes at the seams. Very unacceptable
I am quiet satisfied with the service and as well as with the quality of the Product
Super nice website - fast delivery and nice kameez (could be a bit cheaper) The service it is very weak- I wrote an email and it took so long time to answer it...
excellent ladies Indian trouser suit in cotton. Sale item so all 3 items cost only £22. Beautiful quality and highly recommended. Online size table does not work but luckily my chosen Large size fitted me at a size 16
Ordered a selection of scarfs and shawls online. Wasnt pleased with quality of any of the items for the price I paid for them. Very disappointed as online the products look really pretty and in reality they are not.
Giving one star is way too generous for this rogue and dishonest retailer (if you can call them that)! Unfortunately there is nothing less than one star! I was sent faulty garments where I could not even get the top over my head as the opening was too small! Garments were quite frankly not fit for purpose, loose threads hanging everywhere, roughly made, really awful! I ordered a certain size, and Rupali sent me two different sizes for the same suit! They do not listen to customers and will argue with customers even though they are in the wrong, like they argued with me. They just would not listen even though I sent a letter describing the problem. Letter was ignored and not even a response. The company does not comply with the law ie, The consumer Rights Act 2015, Consumer Contract regulation 2013 or supply customers with the Pre Contract Information. Seeking advise. If you want good quality clothing with an equally excellent customer service I would strongly advise find an alternative retailer and steer clear of Rupali who is a rogue, dishonest, and awful Company.
The prices (and even the pictures on the site) reflect the quality of this shop. The worse thing was, whilst I was paying for my order, the site seemingly crashed and I had no confirmation. I called the number to see if the order had been placed but was told (after some difficulty) that it was not. Unfortunately, I found out a few days later I was charged for the order, so I called them again. What a pain! Having to phonetically spell out my postcode a million times didn't help my mood, but the person I spoke to was extremely unhelpful and just kept saying I, and my order, didn't exist. Ridiculous and I would avoid for sure!
They will include defective clothing with your order. As a UK base retailer, they do not abide by the Sale of Goods Act 1979 set of rules.
I bought a long tunic and the stitching became undone within the 1st day of wearing it. So I write Rupali customer service asking what they can do about this and they say 'We are really sorry we are unable do anything with washed and worn goods' even though their product is faulty! No good will No other attempt to assist me as a customer, unacceptable!
Purchased a kaftan and a salwar kameez from Rupalionline last month. The items reached timely but the salwar kaameez set already had been mended once. The company sold me the salwar kaameez set which already had a defect. The kaftan spontaneosuly got perforations after a single wash!! Never again!
