To achieve this ultimate experience we needed to own the whole process so we design and retail our own mattress.

Quite a fascinating process seeing it unroll itself upon delivery! Instructions on how to assemble the Sleeping Duck bedframe easy and straight forward with no "schoolboy errors" involved.

The best part is not noticing when my husband rolls over in the middle of the night - with my previous mattress I noticed every movement. The only down side is the weight of the mattress which means making the bed is a bit harder - worth it though!

Jan 09,2024Pros: Great edge support. Very comfortable, Minimal disturbance from partner, Precision engineered base and easy assembly. Cons: Mattress is very heavy making it difficult to tuck sheets in. Frame would benefit for castors to allow better access for cleaning/vacuum under bed. Overall very satisfied with the comfort level and sleep quality. The money back trial period instills confidence to buy online, but for older customers, the logistics of returning large and heavy components is almost impossible. Many that I have talked to that have bought other brands, resort to buying expensive toppers rather than send their purchases back. We haven't had that issue, as the SD mattress is super comfortable and meets our needs

Jan 08,2024Pleasure to deal with SD - I originally bought a Queen size bed & mattress and changed to a king size 1 week before scheduled delivery - they were incredibly helpful through the change process and still delivered and assembled the bed and mattress on the due date.

Have been considering a new mattress for a while and as the company evolved it was exciting to find they had created a great bed frame and headboard. Phone enquiries sorted my concerns and a variation to frame leg height was organised without fuss. Disappointed to find WA did not yet have access to a “construction team” like the lucky people over East. Arranged my delivery to coincide with our annual Council verge pickup to get my old bed and mattress off site. (Surprisingly they were removed and rehoused within 20 minutes). The packages arrived in very sturdy cardboard boxes with alarming Kg weight clearly marked. As advised had arranged for help - a builder, a sparkie and a great female construction supervisor - all friends. I am a very able solo senior citizen but muscle is required for a stress free experience. The packaging has to be applauded as there is no way anything could be damaged in transit - and NO polystyrene. This company is very environmentally aware. Loved the double sided waffle cardboard sheets. Instructions were invaluable and clearly stated and easy to follow. SUGGESTION: have your ph camera ready to video the amazing view when the mattress is released from its constraints. It’s stunning. Make sure it’s positioned on the bed frame as it is really heavy… My order was for a firm mattress and I was surprised to find it had a “topper like” padding under the zip-off cover which softened the body feel. However, respecting the design determined to try before making any adjustments. Correct decision - have used it since Nov 11, 2023 and my back and neck are rejoicing. Having severe vertebral degeneration means attention to mattress selection is imperative to my flexibility - and comfort. After sales contact is not demanding and reassuring to find they are concerned with ongoing client satisfaction, while allowing time to adjust to this astoundingly great product. Attention to detail and high standard of finish to every component has really impressed. Have taken the offer for a discounted reserve zip off cover ready in my linen cupboard. Congratulations team!! Dec 16,2023Bought the medium Mach 2. It's very comfortable to sleep on and I woke up with no discomfort, however, could only give it 4 stars as I got very hot. This has happened with other bed in a box brands, so it must have something to do with the foams used.

This concern has prompted me to investigate and share my experience with potential buyers and Trust the Pilot. The mattress, while offering a comfortable sleep surface, tends to accumulate heat during the night. The top foam layer gets very hot directly under the body. This issue can be noticeable and, at times, affect the overall sleep quality. I believe it's crucial to address this matter as temperature regulation plays a significant role in ensuring a restful night's sleep. I would recommend potential buyers who prioritize a cooler sleep environment thoroughly evaluate this aspect before making a purchase decision. I have reached out to Sleeping Duck's customer support to gather more information and explore possible solutions, but they were unable to provide any solution to significantly enhance overall satisfaction with an otherwise promising product. I am in the process of finding a new mattress which is a disappointing decision for me as the Sleeping Duck was a significant investment. The Sleeping Duck mattress has its merits, but the issue of excessive heat retention is worth investigating for those who prioritize a cooler sleeping experience.
