Spirit of Alba is an independently run family business. We were established in 2015 to raise awareness and promote the exciting, interesting and innovative world of whisky. The company and its owner, Dr. Jim Hopkins, are proudly Scottish (hence the company name – ‘ALBA’ being the Gaelic name for Scotland). Our primary specialty is in the retail of Scotch Whisky and various other spirits, from Gin to Rum and everything in between.

A great wee shop in Kirkie although it's not the wee. Jim and Craig are two gents with the knowledge and charisma of a couple of dinosaurs, only kidding they are both one in a million.

What a fantastic selection of spirits and beers, curated by Craig and Jim, who are always more than happy to help with any questions. This is not your run of the mill, standard offerings, but a serious collection of quality products with provenance and integrity considered. And, let's not forget the very competitive pricing. If you can't visit the shop, then get online and order from this superb local business. It's businesses like these that give retail a good name. I will support whenever I can.

Make up an excuse to visit this shop! Whatever your poison, Jim and Craig have you covered. Both are very friendly and knowledgeable. You won't go wrong with any of the recommendations, in person or online. Don't forget to grab a selection of cans from the well stocked fridges as well!
