Feb 12,2020I have not travelled yet so cannot comment on the actual railway experience. What I can say is that booking an advance ticket by internet was not easy. The website needs strong revision, not intuitive. I did not get email confirmation of my booking. I spoke to one member of staff about this who confirmed I "was on the system" but could not send me an email to confirm, so I should call back the next day to speak to "Dan". I did call back and spoke to a woman who was very helpful and immediately sent the required email. Overall not a very re-assuring experience and I suspect their website might cost them some bookings.

Jan 30,2020The first preserved railway in the world still going strong. The scenery is great, everybody is friendly and the train ride is good too. Worth making time for a look around the museum at Tywyn Wharf as well.

Jan 26,2020Although the website offers print your own tickets they don't come as an attachment in the confirmatory email. It turns out you collect them from the booking office, which is a bit confusing. However the after sales service when I queried this was absolutely excellent

Jan 06,2020We took our five month old puppy on the train for the first time. She wasn't fazed by the whistles or the engine noises or the clanking. She loved the views and the staff, everyone wanted to pet her. We brought our twenty-something old kids along too. Great day out was had by all.

Jan 04,2020Booked afternoon tea fro 3 people . It worked very well with warm scones tea, jam and cream waiting for us at the summit station. Plenty of time treat and drink before the train returned. Recommend it
