TFNation Ltd runs TFNation, a three-day Transformers convention which takes place in Birmingham, UK in August. The show attracts attendees from around the world and has become the largest Transformers celebration in Europe.
It was a fun time, I had a great time with TFNation and will look forward to future times with them
Always pulling it out of the bag it’s a shame we couldn’t have done it like usual but this years “big broadcast” was grand and it really felt like you were there. The internet problems and limitations of the platform did get a little annoying but it was the best we could get under the current climate. I can’t wait for next years! Bang up job
The amount of effort and love that had been put into this online event was obvious, and very touching. I hadn't expected to be so captivated just through the screen as I was, with my attention issues, but the staff and guests' genuine feelings for the event and the community were unmissable. It doesn't compare to actually being there, and I'm still sad for the way the TF: Prime theme didn't really come to fruition, but the Big Broadcast still made me happy in a different way. The main negative here is the technical issues, but they weren't critically bad or too common. I experienced some lag and sound quality issues, and my friends reported similar at different times.
Since the first TF-Nation happened years ago , I managed to visit it, except one time I was not able to get off work. But each year they impressed me with their creative ideas and how they made each convention better and better. Also in times like today during covid-19. They did not gave up and gave a alternative option to the fans. A TF-nation broadcast that gave us again a feeling of we are all one. It was a good feeling to have something to hold tight, even if we was not allowed to meet in real life on a big convention. The broadcast program was nice, the guest that helped them are awesome and it was fun to see what they made out of it. I had the feeling to be on a convention even if it was virtuel but all worth to watch the live broadcast. So I hope for 2021 to meet all dudes from different countries again in real life and without covid -19. Thank you TF-nation for giving us this wonderful Broadcast, we appreciate your hard work to create this creative broadcast and that you spend so much time to give all transformers fans something to hold on. You guys are awesome and wonderful.
With the world changing massively for everybody, one thing will always remain constant...TFNation. The convention couldn't take place in its usual guise due to massive safety concerns so TFN adapted and overcome. And boy did they. With a completely different format and a fraction of the usual time to prepare, the whole team delivered a great day. Heres to 2021. Thanks guys
Great job against the odds. I really enjoyed the virtual convention and would welcome more events like this
Fantastic organisation. Managed to create a fantastic online convention from scratch in just a few months after Covid hit. Better than the professional attempts.
The broadcast was of great professional quality and a wonderful way to bring a bit of normalcy to a strange year. All the content was highly enjoyable and the few technical issues were tackled swiftly and efficiently. It was a wonderful replacement for the con, which I hope will be able to go ahead as normal next year.
Fun and friendly online event which managed to convey the atmosphere of a face-to-face one. Good interaction with the audience with a slice of wit and family friendly to boot. My other half will be coming with me to the next face to face event as she liked the bits she saw!
Where all the other online conventions have failed, TFNation succeeded. Compared to the bigger names, TFNation was the online event that was worth watching.
Very well set out and flawless. Absolute genius and tucked all the boxes of a ususal TFNation
An outstanding event put on with real passion and care. The show has been the best con for years, and now they are the best online con.
It was a fantastic achievement, that must have taken a huge amount of coordination and collaboration between the hosts and the guests. Everything ran very smoothly and although l dipped in an out of the whole event, it didn't feel slow or disjointed in any way and kept me interested in the interviews and stories the many wonderful guests had to tell. The camoradery from all the attendees that is so prevalent at the other tfnation events was there in spades, even though the meet was virtual. The excitement for another weekend around like minded people was at its usual feverpitch and all testiment to the love and appreciation everyone has for tfn and its organisers. Job well done as always.
there was alot more on display during the live stream than I expected, and seeing as you guys had all the odds stacked against you during this whole pandemic, that's mighty impressive!! those little intermissions like the quick toy reviews, late night with sentinel prime and funny merch adverts really didn't make me dread the intermissions, but looked forward to them. Overall, I'd say it was a very successful stream and I look forward tpo attending 2021 con. I suppose if I would change anything, it would be that during the interiviews with the different panel geusts, It would've been nice to allow people to asks questions to make it feel even more like a panel. Now I now the interviews were pre-recorded, and I know that the chat would've just been swarmed with questions if you did it live, but maybe next time you can say on social media in advance how'll you be interviewing this certain guest and tell people to post their questions that they would like to ask if they were there. and then look through them and pick out like the top 5 and ask them at the end. Sure you can't get through everyone's question, but that's the same for any panel, in person or via live-stream. I feel like that would've made the panel a little bit more interactive.
This is such a great event. Even in 2020 when the show had to be cancelled due to the pandemic, the organisers not only refunded everyone but then put the event on digitally. This says it all really regarding how dedicated the people behind the show are. If you'd enjoy a nerdy, friendly, fun weekend, I'd strongly recommend you give it a try. If you are in any way a fan of anything transformers related, and can make the trip to where its being held, its an absolute must.
Where do I begin! What a fab bunch of people that helped pull all of this together. On the lead up Twitch updates were given with a couple of months notice, the event itself was over the evening on Fri and from 11 on Saturday. The organisation that went in to plan the day and provide a schedule was handled as if we were at the event in person. The interviews with guests / quizzes and fundraisers through Toyfu was also well organised and the announcement for next year was the icing on the cake. Huge thank you to what was undoubtedly a highlight for the weekend. Thanks
Had a fun time! All the staff seemed so passionate about the convention. Definitely would reccomend going again!
It was my first TFN, and although I would have loved to attend it in person, the situation didn’t allowed it. Instead, the solution the TFN crew gave was genuine and amazing! I must say I would have loved to meet the guests of 2020 live convention. Anyway, the big broad cast guests were fantastic, as well as the crew themselves. All in all, the experience was incredible and outstanding, I really had a good time and I enjoyed it every sec. Well done!
Big broadcast was a great day of content. Really helped to bring the convincing experience into your home. Loads of interesting panels to entertain and inform. 👍

Aug 19,2020Been to a few, and its predecessor, and a bunch of other conventions, and TFN has always been by far one of the best organised. It's particularly apparent when issues come up and are dealt with professionally and proactively; at the time of writing, with the convention cancelled due to international crisis, there's just been a two-day online version with guests, activities, merch and charity sales attended by several hundred people. That's TFN, and it brings out the best in everyone involved.
