Well you get what you pay for. Roseville is a cut above your average B&B. We received a very warm welcome with tea and cake served in the conservatory. Our rooms were very comfortable with luxury bedlinen, and the extra touches such as bottles of wine and beer in the mini fridge, and chocolate bars were enjoyed. Overnight was very quiet and we slept like logs. Breakfast was delicious with good choice of fruit, cereals and yogurts on the table followed by a lovely 'clean' full English. We couldn't fault Roseville and highly recommend it.

I came across this site through a web search for accommodation near Fraserborough and most of the big name accommodation sites had nothing available for the dates I wanted. This site had several to choose from and I found a nice guest house in a lovely village just perfect for my trip.

The room was large, comfortable King size bed in a quiet location and an excellent breakfast within walking distance of the town. The owners were friendly and very helpful. Excellent value.

We were treated so well and looked after like Queens. Sam is a great guy, he works his socks off and nothing is to much trouble, for him. A great host! Thanks a lot to toprooms and dear sam. We will go there again!

A bit tired/shabby, but probably better value for money than a hostel or other b&bs in Cambridge if you want a bit of privacy. Communal toilet and showering facilities could do with a freshen up. Breakfast actually quite good, and the chap who runs the place is good humoured. Overall, not bad.

Gales was booked as a birthday surprise but there was no greater surprise than the weather that awaited us on the late March weekend. We were delighted with the cottage, comfortable, clean and tastefully decorated with everything we needed. The team at gales made us feel welcome and looked after us like family when the snow disrupted the power supply to the village. The food, hospitality and atmosphere at their wine bar & restaurant was first class and we look forward to returning soon.

I hadn't used toprooms before but found the site simple and informative. The booking process was easy and e-mail confirmations swift. Directions to the hotel were good. All-in-all a trouble free process.

A warm welcome awaited and we were not disturbed. Slept well in a comfy bed and then a hearty breakfast. Only a shame the wifi didn't reach our room.

Wonderful LOCATION, great parking and terrific price. The facilities are not four-star BUT certainly acceptable. We'd definitely select the Gillygate for another visit. I could not give the STAFF a higher recommendation. Thanks!

All of the reviews we read were fantastic. We were expecting something special since we were on our honeymoon. Unfortunately the only good thing was the spa, not the outside surrounding it though which was in need of a makeover ie. rotten wooden window ledges, cobwebs and grotty bits falling down into the spa from what was supposed to be an entirely private courtyard. But this cant be true - the host said "its completely private, i keep my blinds down in my office, and while he was cooking his "stir fry" for dinner he said as i passed - "i just opened the window for 10minutes while im stir frying"! We could see and hear the hosts in the kitchen while we were in the spa! Therefore, the spa and courtyard is in fact NOT private!!! It made us feel a bit uneasy. I asked for an ice bucket but was asked to put my wine into the kitchen fridge instead. The room was ok, nothing special though for paying £189 and expecting 4 stars. Smaller than expected. No mini bar, no kettle. A tiny hook to hang towels on which kept falling off. Tiny flat screen tv. All minor gripes but shouldnt these details matter? It should be exceptional. It wasnt. There was a weird smell around the building too. And while we were in the spa it was cringy every time the toilet flushed upstairs - we could hear it fly down the pipes which were literally a meter away. Gross! Wouldnt stay here again and wouldnt recommend for a special occasions. Definately needs to be downgraded from a 4star to a 2.

This small guest house is a wonderful place for a period of relaxation and leisure. It is well placed for touring around Cornwall by both bus and train (our choice) and by car. I've stayed in many hotels and guest houses over the years and I have never found one which provides cooked breakfasts better than the ones provided by Susan who runs Camilla with Simon. The standards are unvaryingly high. Camilla is a little gem.

A quaint b & b in a very pretty part of the world. Right next door to Montacute house with all its parkland to walk through. 2 very good pubs too, especially as 1 was almost next door.

Very beige but clean, comfortable room. Decent breakfast in quirky dining room filled with antiques and collectibles for sale. Helpful landlord who guided me to parking space opposite and carried up my case.
