We wanted a large house with communal areas for a stag weekend. Great memories from the house included fish and chips for tea, huge fry-ups every morning and lots of social time for the group. It's the top two floors of a nice neighbourhood house. Couple of strange things like missing toilet roll, no wi-fi and cold water until we figured out the boiler (2 days!!) but maybe that's just us been thick. Short walk from town.....and a taxi back for I fiver.
Firstly, the positives. The Lady who let me in was helpful and very pleasant. The Room was clean and tidy and Breakfast was good. On the down side, I'd booked on the strength of having a drink and a meal in the Hotel. When I arrived I had to phone a number taped to the locked door. 10 mins later the Lady arrived to let me in. The Bar was closed, the Restaurant was closed leaving me to eat a Takeaway in my room as there was nowhere in the Village for a meal. I was the only living person in the whole building! At least I had a key! One other Guest arrived late so there was 2 for Breakfast. My main issue was not being told of the situation until I arrived. Had I known, I would have stayed somewhere else as a Takeaway in my room was not what I was hoping for. Make sure prospective Guests know the situation BEFORE they pay for their stay!
didnt like the hotel one bit wasnt what i expected staff abnocious and rude breakfast not good queing up for ages and everything cold
i booked my room and did so through topcashback, for some reason this tracked at 1p which was a little dissappointing (should have been 10%) as that was the reason i used toprooms - i have not had my stay yet so cant be sure if there will be any issues
HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE, DIRTY, UNFRIENDLY WOULD NEVER GO THERE AGAIN AND ADVISE TO ANYONE ELSE JUST DONT GO THERE. WEEKEND COST US EXTRA BECAUSE AFTER ONE NIGHT, TOO LATE TO FIND ANY WHERE ELSE WE MOVED FOR THE SECOND NIGHT OF OUR VISIT TO THAT AREA.
This site was so easy to use. All the info was in one place, and gave me all the details that I was looking for. It was great to find out what was available on the dates that I needed. I will use it again!
Wow. At last a proper class and affordable guest house. Owners have made a fantastic job of this hidden jewel. Room excellant and shower fab. Plenty of spare sockets for office work on a cheeky early finish. Brilliant full english every morning to start the day. Thanks to all at the foxwood. See you again.
What a perfect find. Nestled in the Clywd valley with views to die for. Wonderful hosts who know exactly when and how to connect. The gardens are of Kew standard and the birds therefore are a chorus of loveliness. We had the coach house which was simply perfect and included a fabulous wet room bathroom. Breakfast was divine - this couple don't miss a trick! We'll be back
My room was small not very well decorated and down right tatty, the door i think had been kicked in a few times by the state of the lock and surrounding area. To say this hotel is two star is a bit of an exageration and i have been kind. I only paid Β£130 for 3 nights and i think that this was Β£127 to much. Sorry to write a bad review but i am an honest person. thanks,
good staff ,welcoming ,good value, comfortable.no complaints
B&B Peterville Inn was a really nice place to stay for a long weekend. The room was clean, staff was nice and helpful, nice pub at the same place. I see only two disadvantages: 1) shower - it was very difficult to set up proper temperature, weak stream of water, 2) poor breakfast - eating muffins, apples and orange juice in not a good idea for breakfast, especially if you are going tostay there for 3 days ;-), we had to eat proper breakfasts in other places. I recommend the place. It is in a walk distance to beautiful St Agnes' cliffs. If you will pay in cash, you may get free drinks in the pub. :-)
We stayed here for a long week-end. It was our first stay at the Eiders. The owner was extremely attentive without intrusion. The room we stayed in was very comfortable, the four poster bed was a nice treat. The en-suite was spotless, and was cleaned every day to the same standard. The breakfast was one of the best we have had. Nothing was too much trouble for Caroline (owner). We would highly recommend a visit here.
I had a weekend in Bournemouth with a family member, she can be a little picky, but she was very impressed with the Laguna Hotel. I have seen reviews that say that the dΓ©cor is a little "dated", it may well be. I have seen no sign of this. The staff are great, nothing is too much trouble to make your stay enjoyable. They leave you alone, they do not intrude unless you have problem. They respect your privacy. Which is what I like about this hotel, I like the "dated" dΓ©cor, it gives it a certain feel, which I enjoy. Rooms are clean, the domestic staff are helpful, food is up to a good standard. Would I go back, to true, I have stayed at the Languna at least 9 times, I will be returning as soon as I can.
fantastic b and b will certainly go back when visit dartmoor
Clean rooms polite staff can't fault the place ππππππππππππππ
Would defiantly stay at the hotel again and recommend to friends.
Always enjoy my stays at Camelot - a real home from home.
Great place. Hosts. Nice food brilliantly. Be coming back. Soon
lovely welcome ,helpful co-operative ,let me check in early , very polite and helpful and again in the morning and helped me by saying use the car park , very clean totally fit for purpose ,only thing wrong was thin walls and i had a heavy snorer ( i was in room 3 ) next door which didn't give me a good nights sleep so 10/10 changed to 7/10
