Touch Typing is an essential life skill and we find that children who learn accurately to literally type without looking at their fingers, will save time in producing homework and in exams etc. As experienced Specialist Teachers, we are able to effectively differentiate and individualise touch typing challenges so that all students achieve their potential. Multi-sensory learning, through games and incentives, create a brilliantly fun atmosphere in which children aged 7 upwards, thrive! We have children who want to learn good basic typing skills and those who need this skill in order to type for GCSEs, and A Level exams. Note taking, punctuation skills and real time typing under pressure are also explored with the advanced students. An encouraging, motivating and uplifting environment is created in which children of all learning abilities thrive. We specialise in helping children with dyslexia, dyspraxia, dysgraphia and hypermobility as well as for those just want to learn it as a life skill, or for application towards the skill section of the DofE levels. Apr 19,2023Couldn’t have spent my money in a better way. My 10 year old dyspraxic son started reluctantly on this 5 day intensive touchtyping course and left absolutely loving his experience. He couldn’t have been happier. What he thought would be torture was fantastic. Delia and her husband Seth were energetic, passionate and wonderful teachers. My son continues to practice which is key. Never thought I would see that!!! Thank you Delia and team Touch Typing For Kids!!!!

She adored Delia and Seth and left typing 5 wpm with 97% accuracy, an absolutely tremendous improvement in just one week! Highly recommend this course!

Feb 18,2023As someone who recently did this course I can tell you that it has really helped with my typing. The people who run the course are very friendly and supportive making the experience very effective and enjoyable. As an example of the effectiveness of the course, I came in typing 29 words a minute with 94% accuracy and I left with 45 words per minute with 95% accuracy. I would highly recommend this course to anyone who needs to type for anything or just enjoy computers and wants to do it! I am 12 years old.

Nov 07,2022It's hard to understand how your child can come out buzzing and that little more confident but she did. The experience and understanding Delia and Seth have of how to move your child along cannot be under estimated. We were very impressed and will look to put our daughter on further courses with them. The fact she practices what she has learnt at home without prompting is testament to this!

Nov 03,2022took both my 7 and 9 year old for half term weeks course. I was apprehensive about my 9 year old doing it but they both LOVED the course so so much. Every evening they would be practising and happy to learn new skills. Lots of incentives were given to the children and a wonderful graduation/presentation on how to continue after finishing the course was made on the Friday on collection. I cant praise Delia and Seth enough, our kids learnt so well to type and both of my kids were getting 100% accuracy at the end of the week. You also get the software to use for a whole year for free. The only downside was that my children want a laptop to practise on but I have found refurbed ones on eBay for approx £100. I cant wait for them to do the course again next time it is on. 10 out of 10 !!!!

Nov 03,2022My 8-year-old really enjoyed this fun, well-paced course. Seth, Delia and Ayo are great teachers who inspire confidence in children and create a lovely learning atmosphere. My child is now able to type with 100% accuracy, without looking at the keys, after just one week. Now it's just a matter of building up speed with practice, using the programme provided as part of the course. This is a vital skill for him as he struggles physically with handwriting. He has also come away feeling confident about his learning and ready to practise. I would highly recommend Touch Typing for Kids and Seth and Delia's team.
