We engaged with Trade Skills 4U to re-certify our Electrician up against a tight deadline for NICEIC. Jak in the NVQ department explained the process clearly and allocated our delegate to meet our requirements. NVQ Assessor Danny Walters was fantastic throughout. He was proficient, helpful and without his assistance we would not be in a position to meet our deadline. The people like Shell behind the scenes prioritised our account to ensure we met our deadline. I cannot recommend and thank them enough for their assistance in this process.

I thoroughly enjoyed studying at the Leeds centre. I was provided with all support and learning materials that allowed me to pass all exams included in the first step into the electrical industry, and I will certainly use them again in the future.

I would like to dedicate this review to the NVQ program at Trade Skills and in particular Richard Welsh who was assigned as my course assessor. I began the NVQ journey with minimal confidence and really expected a tough twelve months plus. Richard helped me break down each aspect and guided me through enabling me to complete the NVQ portfolio within four months.

I enjoyed the course, I did find the delivery fast. Not from an electrical background I would have found a third day of training very useful.

I’ve just completed my City and Guilds 2346, NVQ 3 experienced worker qualification and cannot praise TS4U enough. If you are thinking of up skilling and getting this qualification then TS4U is definitely the place to go. Providing you are currently working in the industry and have all the required experience and qualifications the process is seamless from beginning to end. All the staff from start to finish are extremely helpful and know their jobs. I had Daniel Walmsley as my assessor and guide and he was fantastic, Incredibly supportive, fair, and knowledgeable and made the daunting task of completing the NVQ portfolio relatively easy as he explained everything at a level trades people understand and can relate to. I wouldn’t go anywhere else for electrical training, and I just wish they did the AM2E as well.

I have just completed my 2391 with TS4U in Gatwick - great course, no nonsense teaching, just straight to the points that we actually need to know plus some great tips for the 'real world'. Really impressed with Kev the tutor and Mark the examiner - it is clear they both care about improving standards in the industry, which is refreshing. Looking to do my 2396 later this year and won't hesitate to book with TS4U again - thank you.

Had Danny as my assessor and he was really great. He understood my requirements and reasons for doing the course and help me get through it as quickly as possible while still making sure my content and skill level was sufficient. Really impressed by the correspondence and structure of the course. Would highly recommend.

I am currently on the Domestic Installer Course and to be honest I am quite disappointed with the content. In the pictograms that comes up when you click on the course it clearly states the following are included; Consumer Unit replacement Not covered at all, never mounted the unit, never populated the board, never wired the RCD’s etc and never saw an RCBO which now all new boards need to be fitted with. Smoke detectors, Never saw one Electric cookers Wired in the circuit but no cooker. Domestic Rewires We did install Radial and Ring socket circuits along with 1 way and 2 way switch lighting circuits so in theory you could do a basic re-wire but anything out of the ordinary will leave you head scratching and that’s even before you have to worry about chasing and running cables. Smart Heating Controls Not covered at all Underfloor Heating Not covered at all. My issue is not with the instructors but with the content and frankly it fails to deliver. I chose this place as it supports the Armed Forces Resettlement ELC scheme and I thought it would be a centre of excellence and it would be worth the four hour drive and all the Hotel costs but I am now thinking I could potentially get the same standard of training closer to home if I were to go on to do my level 2 and 3 courses. As for customer services they are polite and say all the right stuff but that doesn’t help me replace a Consumer Unit that I haven’t been taught how to do. They need to either improve the course or alter what they are advertising it delivers because at the moment they may well be breaking the trades description laws.
