Jan 14,2025Very disappointing experience from Travelzoo. On the 10th December 2024 I ordered a Balfour vineyard tour, tasting and sharing platter for two through the internet. I paid extra for the gift pack thinking that all correspondence would be addressed to me. I paid for the experience via my personal credit card, along with using my work email address. I wished to surprise my wife with an extra personal gift which she did not know about. Unfortunately this is where it all fell apart, the experience gift pack was addressed to her, not me! She picked up the post that day and opened all her mail, along with the suprise. My wife felt devastated that she had ruined the surprise, by no means her fault. I have complained to Travelzoo and was told, “if you wanted to give this experience as a surprise, you must download and print the detail off yourself” So what is point of paying £5.99 for a gift pack? As the whole experience now feels tarnished, I have requested a refund. Please be mindful, if you wish to purchase any of the experiences as a surprise, don’t pay for the gift pack and secretly print off the details. Thank Elfie for your reply. I think you have totally misconstrued my complaint. My wife would not have received the surprise gift earlier, if the gift pack was addressed to me! She would have received the gift on Christmas Day, which is the day I purchased it for. (Not earlier) To disagree with your other statement; Travelzoo did sent the gift pack to the purchaser, my comment is, you addressed it to my wife, who was NOT the purchaser. Hence a ruined Christmas present via Travelzoo. No apologies, Inept service, hence I am no longer a Member of Travelzoo.

Jan 14,2025The Travelzoo voucher was for a meal for two at the Midland Hotel, either lunch or dinner. We opted for dinner , the food was great , very good value for money, lots of choice and the service from the hotel staff was good, we would certainly repeat this again.

Jan 14,2025All the staff were welcoming, lovely room ( Room 10) well worth the upgrade. It was very quiet and cosy. Cream tea was excellent, with fresh scones and good quality prosecco. Wide choice for breakfast both buffet and cooked to order and good quality. Hotel was lovely and clean, one of our best Travelzoo stays. Ideal location to visit Blenheim and Oxford and also the village is very pleasant with good range of nice pubs and places to eat.

Jan 14,2025On arrival our bedroom was cold and we were loaned an oil filled radiator to bring the temperature up. Went to have a drink in the lounge/bar area and it was very cold, we gave up and went back to our room. Reception told us the heating was broken and they were waiting for a part. Our whole experience was spoilt by the lack of heating - meals were served in 12 to 14 degrees temperatures. No chance to relax and sit comfortably in lounge - too cold. The staff were amazing and the food was excellent. Such a shame we couldn't appreciate it as eating with fleeces and scarves on is not what we were hoping for. The break was a Christmas gift and we feel it was spoilt having to spend the whole time in our bedroom

Jan 14,2025Hat alles super geklappt, sehr schönes Hotel tollen Spa Bereich, alle Angestellten sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Ein modernes Haus, sehr gut modernisiert, jede Etage sehr individuell gestaltet. Hat uns alles gut gefallen.

Jan 13,2025The bar manager John gave us a very warm welcome and was really friendly and helpful the whole weekend. Hotel was nice and clean and food was all home cooked and excellent. Only downside was the walk from the car park which is down a very steep hill so make sure you pack light
