Jan 03,20253 course lunch with a glass of Champagne at Cafe Laperouse, OWO. Cost £45 /person. Food mediocre. Soup as first course came lukewarm, supposed to be celeriac and chestnut, but could barely taste either. Main course of lemon sole delicious, cheese as third course - only one type but a generous portion. Disappointed compared to previous top hotel offers. However, we were given a guided tour of the OWO building by Jason who was an excellent guide.

Jan 02,2025Having stayed here via Travelzoo in the past the service Was not to the same standard. The first morning breakfast we were met with indifference and all our party felt it was an attitude oh it's them with vouchers.. The breakfast itself was small like it as the last they had. The second day breakfast was so much better but still poor service. Also £25 for two large glass of wine is the kind of price I would expect from a 5 star hotel. On check out the value of the vouchers were not deducted the Amount to pay included the voucher price so we had to deduct the amounts we paid plus two lots of tips and gradatues were add to the bill resulting in over £16 more on the bill. Overhaul the dinner was good but would not stay there again

Jan 01,2025Beautiful Georgian house. Room extremely tired and bathroom very poor. However the team were very efficient and friendly. Maybe we should have been informed that the restaurant would not be open for our second night. Food first night was very good. I think an upgrade to a better room is a must.

Warm welcome in the Spa, Although one of the hot water tubs was out of order, it was explained the number of guests had been restricted, to make sure we got to enjoy all the facilities.😊 The Restaurant was lovely, we enjoyed our meal and good service
