My sister booked i door skydiving for my hen party which was supposed to happen April 2020. COVID reared it’s head and everything closed due to lockdown. We asked for a refund as we were not able to reschedule as I was pregnant and my friends were all over the country, so rescheduling was not possible. We requested the refund over a year ago and had lots of promises and “thank you for your patience” but since last year we have heard nothing. E-mails remain unanswered. It is now 2 years after we were supposed to come for the party and still not received a refund. The amount of money is not insignificant as it was a large group booking. Absolutely disgraceful company and this is now theft as they are holding onto our money with what appears to be no intention of providing a refund. We are currently looking at taking legal action as enough is enough. We have been patient and understanding but 2 years is beyond a joke!!

I booked a vertigo jump on line for a birthday present for my daughter . Payment taken and invoices received and all the details sent to me for instructions. First impression the site looks like a building site with views of derelict buildings around you . Reception directed us to the waiting room . The instructor arrives so I thought and we was informed that there is no vertigo jump in the month of March . Asking for explanations how the system can advertise activities and take your money when the activity is not on . I was told they must have had a glitch in the system . Why was I not contacted about this , I travelled to get to your location and my poor child was utterly devastated. A child on the autistic spectrum who has the day planned and this was part of the plan for the day . Absolutely no compassion for the birthday girl . Although we was offered an alternative the surfing, doing a vertigo jump does not require a wetsuit so we did not pack one . Also a child on the spectrum could not handle the sudden change . Tea and coffee offered would not cover the fact you sold me a activity that was not happening. I look forward to my full refund although you did not take my name . This is my first and last visit to twinwoods.

Where do I start.. we had the salt cave experience gifted to us by a family member and decided to book a massage and afternoon tea to make a day of it. To start, we couldn’t book the experience through the actual buy a gift website, and eventually had to call the actual place to book and was told you had to email reception to book it and can’t do it through buy a gift. Not the end of the world! Sent an email and eventually got a date to suit us, and was told the massages and afternoon tea would be an extra £90 all together. Waited for a phone call to pay, and had to call up myself as it was nearing the date and was worried our date wouldn’t be available. Paid the £90 and was all set for a wonderful, relaxing spa day on the Saturday! What a mistake that was! When we arrived it looked like an army training camp/ building site. We drove around the derelict buildings to find the hidden entrance to our spa day.. We got booked in with the guy on reception, and filled out the forms for the salt cave and massage and were taken to the waiting room overlooking the spa pool. I went for my massage first, which was the ONLY good part of the day, my partner went next while I waited in the cold ‘spa waiting area’. When he came back, we went to the much anticipated Salt Cave experience. And what an experience it was - we were taken to what looked like a cleaning cupboard and the lady even mentioned about her broom! (We later learned the lady was the owner!!) we went in the TV was broken, and there was a portable heater in the middle of the room. Not that it was doing much as it was freezing! Whatever the machine to pump the salt into the cave was, sounded like an aeroplane which wasn’t relaxing! Needless to say we left after 5 mins and told the guy on reception. We went back to the cold waiting area and waited to see if we could get our afternoon tea pushed forward - in the meantime we took a a trip upstairs to see what the bar/ cafe was like.. at it just got worse. There was scaffolding on the climbing wall, ladders everywhere and no one to be seen apart from a builder and some kids on the surf experience - not somewhere to sit and chill out after a massage! Went back down - and the owner told us it might be difficult to move the afternoon tea but she would try. She offered us the surf experience as we hadn’t enjoyed the salt cave, but we politely declined. While waiting, she dealt with a family next to us who had booked the Vertigo experience, and were told that experience doesn’t run during March and she could only offer them the surf experience (which seemed to be the only thing actually running!) which they declined too and said it was a birthday present so they wanted to do the experience they’d booked. They left after asking for a full refund and we swiftly followed! This place should absolutely NOT be advertised as a spa or have and kind of association with the word. It was the most unrelaxing place I have ever been - and I have never complained about an experience or service in my life but this was a diabolical experience and if anyone else can avoid making the same mistake we did - then at least something good came of it!!

We booked a surfing party for my daughter and 17 of her friends for her 8th birthday. The party also included pre-ordered hot food and unlimited squash. When we arrived, we felt as though we weren’t expected or welcome. The party area was not ready for us. The surfing instructor was fantastic. She made the birthday girl feel special (unlike literally every other member of staff) and made the nervous surfers feel reassured. Other than that, the experience was dire. They were clearly short staffed (a sign of the times, I appreciate, but the staff that were available, were, for the most part sullen, sarcastic, uncaring and clearly very fed up). The food was late being served (to the point where parents were turning up to collect their kids while the food was being dished out. I realised after paying the final balance that the girls hadn’t been served their pudding. I wrote a long email to the manager, expressing my overall dissatisfaction. I eventually got a call from her, three days later which I couldn’t answer. I tried calling her back and leaving messages for nearly two further days before she finally got back to me. She offered me a paltry refund for the lack of dessert, which did not take in to account the poor service or late food. Eventually we agreed on a refund which took a further two days to come back to me. Overall, I paid a lot of money for a party which, other than the main activity, was a total damp squib, and the aftercare I received, following my complaint was atrocious. I feel like they just wanted my money, and then couldn’t care less about me or my repeat custom / recommendations to my friends and family. Final thoughts; Do the activities, keep the instructors in a job, but don’t expect anything from the rest of the staff. Go somewhere else for your food and drink!

Pathetic state of affairs with the spa facilities since after Covid every time I’ve gone in something is wrong with either the sauna or steam room or the pool !!! And I keep getting made up things from the staff so you end up wasting time.

Had a voucher for the salt caves and leisure facilities.. after being told to fill in some forms in the waiting area and someone will be over to us we were left for 30 mins before being attended too with no information on our experience or guidence. We were then taken down to the caves by a lovely lady and had a positive experience in the caves.. could have done with some calming music as it was very noisy but all in all was a good experience. After this we went to use the facilities. The changing rooms were very dirty and cold. The pool was freezing and the jacuzzi and steam room were out of order. The sauna was also warm and not like any other I had ever been in. Very disappointed and would not recommend.

Absolutely awful company. Waiting for nearly a year for a refund! I have been extremely patient with them with everything that was going on in the world. However I bought an experience nearly 2 years ago and they still haven't actioned a refund after not being able to fulfil it. I have given you a lot of slack but please can I have my refund now. Thanks

I took 5 children to do indoor surfing and they all loved it. Would highly recommend if you would like to get your children use to surfing in a safe environment. Huge thanks to Sam the instructor he was amazing with the children. He knew exactly when to give them support and when to push them to try more advance skills

We had a great visit to Twinwoods Adventure, disappointing that we couldn't do the indoor sky drive, due to high electricity prices, but enjoyed all the other activities. The day was well planned out for us and staff were very friendly and helpful both when booking and on the day itself. We would visit again.

Return visit for us and the flow rider was as fabulous as ever. Sadly due to Covid restrictions the cafe was shut and surrounding areas were cold - visitors should wear warm clothing!

Brilliant! We held our daughters birthday party here on Saturday. We originally booked indoor skydiving and surfing, however a couple of weeks beforehand we were informed that the skydiving could not go ahead. Amy practically moved mountains to ensure that the children still had a full and fun filled day, which changed to the Vertigo jump (very cool if you're brave enough), rock climbing and the surf. Amy also went out of her way to ensure that everyone, including various changes along the way, was accommodated. The team on the day were great. Very knowledgeable and although made it fun and did their best to put us at ease for the jump, still ensured safety was the top priority. Thanks Amy and team! All round, it was a great day and the kids loved it! The only drawback, and the reason why I haven't been able to give 5 stars is because it was so cold pretty much everywhere in the building, freezing in fact; which given we spent a lot of time outside due to the jump which was then followed by the surfing activity, it made it a bit uncomfortable at times. Luckily the lovely ladies in the snack bar kept the coffees and hot chocolates coming which helped!

This will be the 3rd visit to the indoor surfing at Twinwoods, this time using vouchers received pre covid. Using the vouchers was refused for our original date selection in the late summer as Twinwoods were only accepting cash bookings and our slot was delayed until November. The surfing was again great and the staff very friendly and fun BUT it was soooo cold, low single digit temps outside and not much warmer inside. Water was 19c but all areas of the building were freezing. Understand that the age of the main hall makes it impossible to heat efficiently but if you are going to run the experience with surfers not given neoprene wetsuits, get some gas space heaters in and heat the changing rooms so it’s not unbearable.

Excelled expectation - went today with my partner and had a really relaxing and enjoyable time at Twinwoods - staff were amazing and facilities were clean and above expectation - at first thought was pricey but for the experience and ambience I would definitely pay again and will become a member for sure
