Nov 03,2024I have used uni homes for utility bills for over a year now into my second student house and have had no issues so far. The price is very reasonable for the amount we get and I plan on using unihomes again next year too. It makes it easy to pay the bills every month and takes it from individuals’ bank accounts so one person in the house doesn’t have to deal with the stress of everyone’s payments. They’re also very easy to use and even for meter readings it’s made easy and simple with lots of help available. Takes a lot of stress off of student living regarding bills.

Nov 03,2024We were given a faulty router since moving in (which took a long time to install as we were not contacted at all about the installation date and had to reach out multiple times to get it sorted) and were left with no wifi for almost 4 months, after countless phone calls and emails to Unihomes, who have been utterly useless as their only response was to "wait" for BT to respond as they apparently need to be constantly chased. The new router finally arrived after me personally having to email our BT account manager which I was told to do on a phone call to BT, and they did not respond, so I had to find and email multiple different BT emails addresses for a response. Unihomes offered us an insultingly low compensation of £34 per person, after almost 4 months of no internet (July 1st-October 16th), which is unacceptable for a student accomodation. Moreover, We have still not received this compensation after a week of waiting. Our neighbours who are also with Unihomes have voiced that they also had the exact same experience as us when moving in. I can only advise people to not go with Unihomes if they want internet in their student house.
