Had doors and windows replaced/ fitted approximately 5 years ago. Front door started to stick but was covered under warranty. Fitter came out a week before scheduled and adjusted the door back to like brand new.
Everything went smoothly from estimate to installation
It was great to have two excellent window fitters Jason and Rob installing my windows,They did a great job without any mess or damage to plaster work inside and outside, I notice that they paid a lot of attention to details, and I was more that happy with such outstanding workmanship, will be very happy to use them again.
Our salesman Wakas Malik arrived exactly on time and was very well presented. After a short discussion with Wakas he then went outside to measure up for our requirements, he then cams back inside and sat with my wife and I as we went through the design process. Both myself and my wife felt very comfortable with Wakas and he was crystal clear whilst explaining involved in the design process. He gave us a price instantly and explained the different payment options, he explained the quote was valid for two weeks and left us with it. There was no high pressure sales tactics (like calling his manager for a last minute price ext) and this was very much appreciated by myself and my wife. All questions and communication between ourselves and Wakas since then have been very speedy and very clear. I cannot recommend Wakas Malik highly enough as a salesman and his representation for West Yorkshire windows was second to none.
We’ve had a great experience with this company. Great customer service - provided us with many updates. Great installing team - installed beautiful door and left no mess after. We wanted to keep the old door which they took out perfectly. Nigel (sales consultant) was very helpful and provided us with a quote on site. Overall very positive experience. Would happily use them again.
Had a slight issue with one of my windows so contacted WYW I had taken photos to show what was happening, so the service engineer came out and sorted the problem no fuss no bother very polite and helpful couldn't fault him at all, would recommend.
2 teams were sent to get my conservatory leak sorted out. They never stopped from getting here and when they had finished they cleaned up. I was very satisfied with all of them a big thank you to all of them. It didn’t fix the problem so they sent another team out to fix the problem. They stripped the entire roof including the plywood sheets some which had gone rotten everything was put back including 3 new velux windows they all worked fantastic I can’t praise them enough. Then the plasterer came and fixed the hole in the ceiling he was also great. Last of all was the person who came out to put back some plastic moulding and also seal the inside of the velux windows and seal the cracks in the ceiling that appeared with all the work being done on the roof. Our conservatory was fitted 8 years ago and we had a slight problem with one of the glass panels and a roof trim. I rang customer service and spoke with a lovely young lady who sorted out for a service engineer to come and sort the problem. A lovely young man called Richard came did the job quickly and efficiently, no fuss. Fantastic company would recommend them to all. .
I chose this company because of the excellent reviews and that they pride themselves on providing finest quality windows and doors and an exceptional service. Date of installation was changed three times. One of the dates was cancelled on the same day of installation. Communication with the installation team was consistently poor. We were initially told the install would take four days but this then changed to two days. The fitters seemed rushed. The back door was the wrong size so was semi fitted. The bay window was fitted but the cill was the wrong size. Also the pane of glass was the wrong size so this had to be boarded up. We expected them back two days later. They didn’t arrive. No contact was made from the company about this. We had to contact them to then be told they wouldn’t be back for 9 days. When they did arrive they fixed the bay window but said the back door would have to wait until the correct size had been ordered. That same evening the surveyor contacted me to say he would be visiting in the morning, on arrival he said the door had been fitted incorrectly. The surveyor returned a week later and completed the job. My experience has been awful with this company. Communication was beyond poor. The workmanship was also of a very poor standard. Only the surveyor seemed to care and know what he was doing. Because of my experience I withheld part of the payment as I believed what I was promised and what I received wasn’t worth the money I had been quoted. I was then sent an email by the company to apologise for my experience, which was the first apology I’d received, and an offer of £250 as a goodwill gesture. I responded with an email to say the service I’d received was disgraceful and that by withholding money from the final balance was the only way I could get any contact or apology. I was then sent a letter saying legal action would be taken if I didn’t pay the amount owed. I’ve since settled the amount but felt I needed to share my experience on here as I find it unbelievable that they have a 4star+ rating on here.

Terrible customer service. We ordered a replacement of our plastic roof for our conservatory in April 2023. Was initially impressed with the sales man as he seemed knowledgeable. Noted that as we had a Juliette balcony above the roof they would have to do a work around to get the required pitch but said as long as the ground survey was passed it shouldn't be a problem. We had our Ground survey done in May after we paid our deposit, it took a month to hear anything back only after I had sent a few messages. On 9th June I was told that some structural goal posts would need to be added but there was no problem and it was still all ok. I then heard nothing back for a couple of weeks and had to ring the sales team numerous times over the next month to be told I would be called back with an update I seldom was. At this point I was starting to get very frustrated with the lack of progress and communication about what was happening so I put in an official complaint. After I put in the complaint I was contacted by the head of sales who told me she would be looking after the account now. About a week later she called and said that they would not be able to proceed with the work and they would refund my deposit. Another week or so went by and I hadn't received my deposit back so I had to ring again to be told that they might be able to do the work and they were looking for a structure that would allow the roof to be fitted. I heard nothing back again for a couple of weeks with the excuse being that the people doing the work were on holiday. I was left bemused that this job hadn't been delegated to another member of the team whilst this person was on holiday?? At the beginning of September the original salesman contacted us saying they wouldn't be able to fit the roof with windows in as was agreed as it would be too heavy for the existing structure. So we were given the options to remove the windows, replace all our doors on the conservatory to make it strong enough at an additional cost of a few thousand pounds or cancel the contract. Begrudgingly we decided to go ahead with the roof without the windows with spotlights added instead for free. After signing the change of contract the project was passed to the installation team on the 19th October. The sales lady who I spoke to ensured me that she would make sure my file was passed on to the installations manager so they could start on it right away. When I rang up and spoke to the installations manager a few days later he had not yet seen the file. I was given a date of 29th November for the work to be carried out nearly 8 months after our original order. On the 14th November I was contacted by the salesman to say that there had been another problem and they wouldn't be able to fit the roof as we had agreed. At this point we decided to cancel the contract wishing we had done so a lot earlier in the proceedings.
A couple of panes of glass needed replacing, one phone call and I sent a photo and new panes were ordered and replaced with no problems. Excellent service
As a neighbouring property to an extension done by West Yorkshire Windows I would not recommend anyone use them. The disrespect for the property 1 foot from where the extension was built was unbelievable. Off cuts of plastic left in my garden, the garden, windows and furniture covered in muck and cement dust daily with no offer to clean up after themselves. No warning that they were about to create a huge mess that was directed at my rear door or windows. And to top it off you have recommend your customer fit an external air pump heater directly at the boundary line breaching planning. I can no longer open my door and windows for the constant noise, so congratulations on getting your customer reported to the council for noise nuisance and a planning breach.
Great service, online portal made it easy to track progress, windows high quality and perfectly installed and on time. Very happy will use them again.
Recently I had West Yorkshire Windows back to try to rectify a problem under their 10 year warranty, for the front door that had a slow water ingress. This is the third time over the years that I have had to recall them back for varying problems with either the product or the workmanship. On this last occasion the door had not been installed correctly and not been bedded on mortar. Customer service was appalling, trying to blame either my lime door sill or stating it was damp, I must have had in my house, both I had checked out before having communication with Richard, head of customer service, and my home wasn't to blame. Eventually two of their fitters came back out, removed my door and refitted it, causing damage to my newly decorated hallway ( torn paper) I got a estimate to put it right but no compensation to rectify the damage done. Problem not resolved,I am still getting a water ingress with rain because they had not used sealent. I have taken the photographs of this. If, now using sealent doesn't work It looks like I may have to replace the entire door. I sent a quote from the lone decorator that did the work but this company wanted a written invoice, Payment should have been sent to cover repair, as there was no dispute to the damage caused by the fitter. The fact the door was installed in 2013 is irrelevant because of the warranty. The water ingress was a gradual one, wetting the underlay and not the carpet. It was when I had to replace the skirting board because of rot, that I lifted the carpet to look for any signs of damp, when the issue with the door was found. My first email to this company was on the 11th April and it took them until the 30th May to send a fitter out after playing the blame game.
I contacted West Yorkshire windows for a quote for new windows for the front of my house. After a prompt appointment & quote I agreed the price when I was ready. No pressure, and everything was very clearly explained & confirmed what I requested. After an arranged survey, a few weeks later I was contacted for a fitting date. Very good communication throughout and any queries explained and reassured to me. On fitting day the fitters were very polite & did a great job. A few days after my installation I was then contacted again & asked if I was happy. Very good communication. Very pleased. Thank you !
We had a composite door fitted in January 2022. Over the last few months it had become very difficult to open and close the door. I contacted West Yorkshire windows and spoke to a lovely lady and explained what the problem was. She organised someone to visit 3 days later. He fixed the problem quickly after explaining what had happened to the lock. Very efficient aftercare. Thank you.
