Apr 14,2025Akuma were amazing from the start through to the finish! For this year's Minis Rugby Tour we took 73 U9s-U12s on tour to the Leicester Tigers Challenge on the south coast. We wanted a striking kit that turned heads, incorporated club colours, whilst also being different enough from our normal club kit to give the kids something different. Pricing was agreed early on and was very competitive, and within budget for the sponsorship and fundraising we were aiming for. The kit design process was really fun; we sent through a few concept ideas which the design team then sent back a load of personalised designs. We narrowed it down to a design, but being picky I wanted to tweak some parts and play around with it slightly. Akuma arranged an online session with one of their kit designers, Jack, who spent a good few hours, moving things around to accommodate my indecisiveness. Jack's skill on the design software was incredible to watch and the attention to detail was fantastic; Jack and Akuma really cared to get it just perfect! Akuma sent through a sample of the materials on offer, and following a better than expected fundraiser, we went for the slightly softer and higher quality pro material ("ignitex"). However as this was for kids we didn't want the tight fit that this material normally comes with. Akuma were incredibly accommodating and arranged for the pro material in the semi-fit cut The kits were such a success that we ended up ordering around another 30 extra kits for parents, siblings etc who wanted to buy them for tour Everything was delivered within 3 weeks from order, payment was simple, and there were absolutely no errors on delivery (impressive considering 100+ items) Overall a top service all round, quick delivery great quality kit that seems to be durable and the kids (and parents) absolutely love them. We have already reached out to Akuma to discuss next year's tour kits
