Dec 10,2021Absolutely brilliant customer service, professionalism and quality. Come across by accident surfing the Web looking for a milwaukee nail gun, not only had one in stock but very competitivly priced. Ordered Thursday afternoon and delivered within 24 hours. Plenty of communication and invoices. Had a questioned which was answered by email within an hour. Already used them again for consumables but in the future, using them first. May 06,2021Great customer service. I ordered the wrong item (which arrived next day as promised) and had to return it. Within 24hrs of me returning the item, they had already issued my full refund. I would have no reservations about using Alan Wadkins again in the future.

May 06,2021Very mixed reviews for this site. I didn’t check the reviews before I purchased my Makita extractor but luckily I have so far had a 5 star experience. Cheapest online and arrived the next day. Hopefully I don’t need to use there customer service in the future as the reviews on that aren’t very good!

Mar 22,2021AVOID Shambolic Customer Service !!!! I have used this company since I started my business 8 years ago, recommended them to others and spent thousands with them. On the 19/03/21 in the middle of a job my grinder was working one min and nothing the next. Honestly, it could not of broke at a worst time. I was just round the corner from this company and as I had purchased the grinder from them, I took it back. I explained the situation I was in and I ask if they could just take a quick look to see if it was just dust on the electrics or if it was finished, I was happy to pay for the inspection. I understand everyone's busy and there's a cue but i was in the middle of a job asking for a 2min inspection. The lad was not interested. Refused to even call out the lad who repairs them. I all but begged him. He was having none of it, but he was happy to sell me a new grinder. I left the shop £160+ down. I took the grinder apart over the weekend and it was just a bit of dust. Appalling customer service, I pity customers who buy over the internet and have issues. I Will not be going back to this shop anytime soon !!!!

Feb 17,2021I brought 1st fix and 2nd fix makita nail guns but due to change in the work I had to return them. I haven’t used them and on the return they said there are signs of use and they retained £20 for that. Think carefully before you buy if something goes wrong and need to return they will find an excuse to hold some money.

Jan 23,2021Ordered a set of Sealey 12v tools at 1:30pm on Friday, free delivery was set for Monday which was great but even better it turned up at 10:30am on sat the next day with DPD so I knew when it was arriving. Good price and quick delivery, can't fault really. Thanks

Dec 01,2020Purchased a Makita table saw. £410. Got sent out a rusty scratched old one. Rang them and arranged collection, then ordered one from elsewhere. A week later wondering where my refund is i ring them. I was told the saw I sent back was not the saw they sent out! Would cost me £30 to get the second hand one back to me and only when they receive the saw they sent out would I get my refund. I was told the bloke in the warehouse checks all stock before it goes out so no idea why I was sent an old one. Clearly couldn’t have checked it that well. Never been so angry in my life! Got my money back in the end but avoid this useless place.

Aug 29,2020Purchased a Makita 9" Grinder from here, intended as a no hassle reliable option. The guard fitting was not well aligned and the blade was hitting the guard. Sent it back for refund. Refund declined as they said I had fitted the blade wrongly, and that is virtually impossible. the original fault is a design flaw with the Makita, but Toolstore would not give a full refund withheld £15 for carriage and told me I was lucky they were not charging for the guard as well. A disgraceful approach to customer service for a high ticket item. I will not be a customer again and do not recommend others to go either. Having read Toolstore's comment it merely confirms the fact that Makita are above reproach with them and the customer is always wrong. If the tool guard was properly designed it would not be possible to fit it out of line. The new unit I have purchased has no such issues.

Jun 29,2020Ordered a lawnmower + batteries only to find it not in stock. However Toolstore immediately emailed us about this, giving us the choice of cancelling or waiting 7-10 days. Opted to wait as deal was good. After 10days I emailed and was answered immediately saying the item was on its way. It duly arrived and is very good. Good price and checked it's the most updated version of the power drill (the star products of Makita drill and batteries). Will use this company again via Amazon, certainly.

Feb 01,2020Disgraceful customer service. I purchased a Milwaukee wet and dry vac that never turned up at the agreed argos collection point and they expected me to track it down and trace it. Absolute shambles and would never order anything from these people again.

Nov 08,2017I had to contact on many occasions to get an issue with a Milwaukee drill resolved they would only help me to get it repaired under the 3 year warranty it was sold with, after I said I would take them to court. Mike the owner was not helpful but eventually it was fully restored by Milwaukee FOC . By this time I had already replaced the drill with an Hitachi. Poor after sales service by both companies.

Jan 19,2017I have just purchased a Makita long reach hedge cutter from Alan Watkins and I cannot speak highly enough of their efficiency and service. I only placed my order online at 3pm and the item was delivered the following day at 11.30am well packaged with full instructions and having been pdi'd before it was dispatched . I would certainly use this firm again and would highly recommend them to family and friends.
