Feb 04,2025Chris and Julian were friendly, informative and polite. More importantly they were honest and clear about what needed to be done and why. I was working from home and they kept me informed on anything that might disrupt me. I believe they were cleaning as they went along. (Also, they left the stairs in better condition than they arrived by giving them a good vacuum.) Work was actually less noisy and dusty than expected - the cats didn't seem bothered by noise anyway. Am looking forward to a less sweaty kitchen. Thanks!

Jan 30,2025Cancelled our planned work at short notice, because they got a better offer from the council. A lot of people now having to find another company to carry out the work. Poor from them - they'd already taken a deposit. They must have known for ages that there was a chance of getting this work from the council and were hedging their bets by still taking bookings and money from people.

Jan 28,2025The experience with Allerton started off really well and they couldn't have been more helpful. The surveyor was friendly and informative and we had no hesitation in instructing them to carry out the work required. Within a week that all changed and we were bluntly informed that they had received a rush job from the local council so were cancelling our work (thankfully we hadn't paid a deposit or signed the paperwork at this point). When I called to ask why they were cancelling instead of postponing I was told it was because they didn't know how long the work was going to take with the council (seems a bit suspicious to me). I was also bluntly told that it was because I hadn't signed the paperwork and paid the deposit. It had only been a few days (4 to be exact) and I needed to speak to my partner as I noticed they had also conveniently slipped in a few optional extras we hadn't asked for?? I'm now left with having to find another contractor (thankfully I know of one that I can trust) and therefore wouldn't recommend Allerton Damp Proofing at all.

Jan 22,2025I had a new damp proof course put in. The workers Blake Taylor and Ryan O’Callaghan (+1 other worker on 1st day 20th Jan but don’t know his name) did a good job. They were friendly/courteous and answered any questions I had. I made them aware of my front border with growing Spring plants which they did not disturb whilst injecting the chemicals into my brickwork and repointing. Replastering done to a good standard.

They removed and skirting carefully so they could replace them. Keeping me in the picture all the time. Thank you. A really good experience.

Jan 21,2025Josh and Reece were contracted by Doncaster council to carry out damp proofing throughout the kitchen and living room, job was done quick and clean with only one issue (they didn't plum the sink in properly or test if it held water as after the lads left I tried to wash the pots and the plug hole fell out and the pipe disconnected leaking water all over the finished damp proofing job they just did).

Jan 14,2025Damp proofing - have to be honest this was a job we were dreading having done. Kyle confirmed our worst fears that we had no damp proof course and the whole of downstairs needed to be done. However we need not have worried, Kevin was absolutely brilliant as was Garrett under Kevin's guidance. They worked to an incredibly high standard, cleaned up every day and even when the job ran over asked if we wanted the floor protection lifting for the weekend. We didn't, worked around them. Nothing was too much trouble and we can honestly say they were a pleasure to work with. Highly recommend. Wizz and Dave.

Jan 09,2025Had martin gareth and joe out doing my downstairs damp proofing. These guys was professional from start to finish, martin (the karaoke king) spoken to me each day of what was being done and had been done over the 4 days. Joe did a brilliant job of the plastering and Gareth on the kitchen, taking it all out and then re fitting it, as well as all my skirting board. It looked like it had never been touched when he had finished. The guys was on time each day and made sure i was happy at the end of each day. friendly bunch of work men, they left my house and garden spotless. Thank you. I would definitely recommend this company, nothing was to much trouble for them and I am very picky with attention to detail.
