With an outstanding pedigree stretching back 50 years, Baird & Co. is one of the UK’s leading full service bullion traders, manufacturers and refiners.
Great service from Elliana, from the ringing the door bell to providing instructions and offering to purchase the gold at a great price. I Will definitely come back for future investments.
I recently visited BairdMint to purchase some silver, and the experience was excellent. The staff were knowledgeable, professional, and helpful in answering all my questions. The silver products were of high quality, and the transaction was smooth and efficient. I would definitely recommend BairdMint to anyone looking to invest in precious metals.
We went to have several Gold items valued. Hatton Garden's Mr Green was very helpful and we had a most positive experience. We were recommended Baird & Co. by a local jeweller, whom I later thanked.
Well where do I start... I arranged for my silver to be stored by them, The silver priced peaked, I tried to sell, 16 phone calls, emails etc... No one responded, I lost a fortune as prices fell sharply. I complained and a senior manager called me and said my storage would be free and I could sell at anytime for 1% below spot, They are now demanding full storage fees and 3.5% below spot. I strongly suggest you avoid these guys....
have purchased multiple times , good prices and good customer service , admin gets a bit complicated sometimes, just be patient
Have purchased from them before and had no issues however when I wanted to purchase another bullion bar that was valued above £10,000 and all I asked is if I needed to fill out AML forms, as I wanted to know if I still needed to do it even though I already completed KYC. Next day, no reply from email and they suspended my online account. Well done baird and co you've just lost your self a long term customer, I ended up looking elsehwhere and found other merchants selling at a much cheaper premium. Edit: looked over other reviews and it seems like it isn't their first time suspending customer's accounts without any reason, don't bother making and account with them or purchasing from them. They seem to love getting rid of their customers for some odd reason
Website issues, poor customer service, do not respond to my emails. I have tried multiple times placing an order get gateway problem notices?sent multiple emails, no response. Really like there products on website , but have trust issues now with the company, after reading the reviews ,now not sure if I will attempt to try an place an order.
Guy called George seemed unhelpful. Didn't sound like he wanted to be there tbh. Kept cutting me short and was at one point a little rude to get me off phone. But I spoken to a lady there a week ago and she seemed really good. So I'm not going to base the company and my experience with them on George.
I have had dealings with Baird Mint, both buying and selling, for over ten years and have always found them a very helpful, friendly, efficient and honest Company. My latest transaction was on Friday the 12th May 23, when I emailed that day, to request purchasing a gold coin, minted in a particular year. My order was filled that afternoon, I recieved an emailed invoice on Monday, the next working day, which I paid straight away by bank transfer and received the coin, securely packed and in perfect condition, the following day. What's not to like? I would certainly recommend Baird's to anyone wishing to invest in, or sell, precious metals and indeed have done so with my own Son & Daughter, who have also purchased coins from Baird's.
Excellent prices, great product range, lovely staff! The payment process on the website isn't the best and can be a little disconcerting going through the payment process for the first time but there is nothing to worry about once you get familiar with it, and as I understand they have a new website coming online soon so should resolve the current issues. The staff on the phone a very kind and professional and are always happy to help regardless which department you are speaking to, although it can take a couple of tries at ringing the accounts department to get them on the phone as they do seem to be super busy, but that's testament to the popularity of the company I guess. Highly recommended! Don't need to look any further for your precious metal needs.
I have dealt with them for some time and experience has been mixed. Just lately have had trouble withdrawing money from my account with them. I have been waiting for 12 days now to receive the funds from a sale. Email unanswered as was contact form submitted via web site. Person I spoke to on phone was apologetic, but still no funds received.
This was my first order with Baird & Co and I couldn't be happier with the transaction! As advised in the email received when opening my account, I called the sales team to place my order via the phone. The process couldn't have been easier. The assistant confirmed the price of each item I was ordering and the delivery arrangements. My order arrived the day after despatch - it was well packaged to protect it during transit and arrived in perfect condition. I would have no qualms about ordering from Baird & Co again in the future.
I placed an order using my debit card and later received an email saying they no longer take card payments so could I pay by bank transfer which I did. The order was received in a few days but when I checked my card statement the following week I noticed that they had also taken a payment from that. I have contacted them 3 times requesting that the extra payment be refunded but have received no reply so have had to open a chargeback dispute with my bank.
Ordered a small Britannia gold coin, did not quite deposit enough money , as i did not account for postage of about £11. The system lets you then pay by card, though they do say they can not take card payments, so why would they even let you pay by card? Anyway it was not taken very quickly so assumed failed. Then paid via account but i think you need to be very precise on the order number reference, as this then did not get put on my account. I tried using their online contact form, nothing in response, i tried email, no response. They then sent and email saying my order was cancelled and they would keep the £50 deposit, and they suspended my account, so i can not even go in and see what is happening or pay anything. I phoned and was advise i would be phoned back.. i have not been as yet. The only saving grace is that i did actually get the coin, so only down the extra postage i paid, but they do not know that as they cancelled the order. As far as i am aware my account should still have a positive balance on it, which i should be able to get back. My advice avoid this company, no customer service if anything goes wrong, and suspending accounts makes things even harder. update 23/11/22 - so the finance director got in touch and apologised for the customer service, which was not up to standard. They have refunded the extra payment I made too. There are issue with there payment systems, but if it was only that it would have been sorted. The customer service in not replying to the online contact form and email to sales still happened and they need to sort it, they might sort out the customer service issues, but i would still be wary about this firm . I have up my stars to really 2.5 , but no option for that, in at least they contacted me eventually and admitted bad service, which might lead to improvements, but time will tell.
Had used for years without issues. However, the (very) last order placed ended with Baird's stealing my deposit from me. Baird's claimed my deposit paid by card had bounced, demanded I pay in full with no deduction for the deposit paid. It was explained that this has happened before and the deposit would be refunded in due course. It was not, and when I tried to ask for this to be resolved, was met with denial. Totally entitled attitude, 0 customer service minded, just out to prove they owed me nothing. Ignored the emails I sent from my bank proving that the second attempt of payment went through. On the phone all I got was "we'll look into it". Unacceptable. Got my money back via my bank's chargeback, a clear claim which I won. Avoid these thieves with attitude, plenty of other good bullion dealers who value your custom.
The website has a glitch which Bairdmint knows about. If you order certain coins they get ejected from your basket after you make a full payment. You then get an order confirmation requesting an "outstanding balance" even though a full payment was made. The company knows about this unfixed issue. Bairdmint used a courier when they advised in writing they would use Royal Mail Special Delivery. The order was small, a few items, it could have easily fitted through the letter box. Instead, prior to delivery, it was placed inside an oversized box, 90% empty inside. The courier seemed to know the order contained valuables. Outside our front door the driver broke packaging open to steal coins. Fortunately this was a low value order. The coins were replaced shortly after. CCTV footage was sent to Police and incident logged. Only after some chasing did Bairdmint send paper work to reflect complete delivery and zero balance. There is no customer service to speak of. It was a thoroughly disconcerting experience. In my opinion, total shambles of a business, best to avoid, buyer beware.
Hi. I purchased a gold sovereign some days ago. By contacting them by phone. I spoke to George who handled the order in a polite professional way. The delivery was to my surprise the next day. From my experience I will use again and highly recommend.
Awful customer service. My wife and I are British citizens living abroad. We initially tried to open an account using my in-laws address but when the online application process requested a utility bill (we don't have any), I wrote to them explaining the situation: That we live abroad and that the address i used was my inlaws place and our base when visiting as well our mailing address generally. My account status remains as "suspended, please contact customer service". We've tried emailing and phoning, but to no avail. My wife was in the UK a few weeks ago and phoned them 3 times. Completely uninterested and really unprofessional phone manner. To date, no call back despite being told that the relevant department would call. No replies either to my emails. Their loss, we are now dealing with Bullion By Post.
Karen on sheet & wire orders is always helpful & friendly. This last oder I received by post only 4 days after ordering (including the weekend) Good price, good products, I use Bairds by preference every time. Good prices. I would always recommend.

Feb 01,2025Very good experience with Baird and Co. Straightforward process made easier by Peter who was very helpful and patient in outlining any details. Will be going back in future.
