Disappointed. After doing a quote Beagle Street wanted more information from me, which I gave. My husband received an email, addressed to me saying ‘you’ve been accepted’. Unfortunately we could not access the application, we tried both our details to no avail. So I called, spoke to a gentleman who clearly likes to talk over his customers and wasn’t very amenable. He told me I could be covered but not my husband. I asked why, he said it could be anything! When I pressed him on this ‘anything’ he reluctantly found more info, what he told me made so sense, my husbands common medical condition which he’s had about 20 years and is well controlled means he was declined! Beagle Street didn’t even ask for more information, instead going straight to a decline.
So far it has been really straightforward to get a policy set up with Beagle Street and a lot cheaper than my bank was wanting to charge me for the same amount of cover. I would highly recommend you check these guys out as they are more than reasonable.

Best price by far, policy saving £1700 over 14 years level life with CI. More than £10 a month cheaper for me when compared with the quotes the other companies gave me and I'm 53.

BS was the best priced life/Critical illness quote I got. Those other companies have been doing this for much longer, so no excuses for them. I am in my early 50's, and BS were £7 a month cheaper than the other nearest quote for nearly the same thing, so you should give BS a go.
After being a client for 5 years, we were aiming to remain with Beagle for our next home purchase mortgage life insurance, entrusting the brand. What a mistake! After going through the usual process with the phone sales rep who was neither enthused nor unwilling, but spoke fairly fast, we hit a massive road block: insurance declined because of an incredibly misleading, poorly phrased and problematic question on long COVID for my wife, and my weight, despite having lost a lot of weight since we got insured for our previous mortgage with them and being on a great health track. So, if you have long COVID even with barely any symptoms on a day to day basis or a few remaining love handles despite training regularly and being in top shape according to your doc, don't even bother. Computer says no. It's particularly infuriating after we tried to get some clarity on the COVID question which is incredibly poorly formulated only to wait 5 minutes for clarification and being told about the same, and having been insured by the same company when I was much heavier. Dead Happy, Legal and General, here we come. PS - We're in our 30s and striving, in case you were wondering.

After three months they cancelled my life insurance because of "something on my medical record" from the past three years with no further details. I'm in perfect health and haven't even been to my GP in the last three years.
