Their support is terrible, it takes so long. I asked for a certain type of video but got something else instead. It was approved without giving me a chance to request any edits, and now they are saying I can't. The user experience is bad, the platform is full of bugs, and I didn't realize that I had to ship out to someone. I somehow approved them without clicking that I approve them. This is weird, buggy and the support is bad.
I deposited 500$ for a package on their platform for a video, but in the end decided not to use them. I asked for a refund, and the support has been surprisingly very helpful, giving me a full refund quite fast. On this part, I could trust them again with some of my money in the future.

It's a great platform to work with, easy access to premium creators and great content. Some enhancements could be made, but generally very intuitive.
Terrible experience with Billo. We have hired two content creator and the videos we have received are less than average, one isn't even about our product, the creator just sent an old video (it was in her portfolio) and it's somehow been pre-approved by Billo. I'm waiting for a response, but it has been such a waste of time. I would recommend you stay away from it, I certainly wish I didn't pre pay for the credits.
I recently used Billo for my content creation needs and was thoroughly impressed. The process was quick and clear, making it easy to navigate from start to finish. I found a fantastic content creator who went above and beyond my expectations. Highly recommend Billo for anyone in need of quality user-generated content.
I had less than a day feedback response after uploading video and after the second try for audition it took literally hours to receive a welcome response. Which makes support awesome.

I am excited but I’ve also applied to over a hundred gigs, and haven’t recieved my first yet after a week and a half! I’ve heard great things about Billo, I just worry it may not be the best for beginners as advertised.

I am having a great time looking through the offers. Thinking carefully of a good way to pitch myself for the offers I’ve applied to, just an encouraging and positive experience for this stage of my life.
Experience as a brand owner utilizing billo since 2023 has been less than desirable. We've prepaid credit, my mistake, but figured we'd generate a bunch of content all at once, no problem. First set of videos were decent. 2 months later we go back to get more videos made, they purposely hide your prepaid credit code, so at checkout I assumed I'd be able to find it but to no avail. For the sake of time and awaiting customer support, we went ahead and 'purchased' the video project assuming support would be competent to help refund or credit the difference based on our prepaid credit. No dice, essentially robbing us of another couple hundred dollars. Such a bad taste in our mouth, we still have a couple thousand dollars left of pre paid credit, now we're in 2024 we're going to go back and use up all of our credit just to get it over with. Funny enough, they've now programmed to put the prepaid credit amount at check out, I'm sure due to similar complaints. We've already decided to never use billo once we're done using the remaining credits. There are limited creators on the platform and they are paid only a fraction of what Billo takes home. Content creators will be better off making videos off platform than giving such a big cut to Billo. Great concept, extremely poor execution and retention practices.
Billo has given me a way to stay home with my family and do what I love doing.
I’ve hired 5 creators from Billo, and will not hire any more. Too many hoops to jump through to really get what you need. There’s always some catch to why they really can’t help you with what you need. Do not pay extra for “premium” creators, as they are no better than the others from my experience. You must be super specific in exactly what you want in your video. Do not give a creator free rein to “show their creativity” or you will get burnt. You will need to write out the script for them to follow verbatim, otherwise, you’re stuck with whatever they decide to say. If you don’t list absolutely everything in the project “brief” (like writing the exact script for them to read), you will NOT be allowed to request any edits. I paid for 2 edit requests, however I did not receive any. Reason being that I didn’t specifically direct the creator to NOT say a specific comment they made in the video. How would I know they would make that comment? Just ridiculous… how would I know they’d come up with a statement about our product that is not true? So, we’re out $375 since the video we received is not usable. I would recommend finding a different source for your videos.

UPDATE FROM THEIR REPLY: Stop lying!! You make it sound like you can use your balance and then top up the rest with card payment... NO YOU CAN'T!!! The only thing you can do is top up more balance which has a minimum $500 spend, which then puts you in the same loop hole, never having enough, so always having balance left over. You obviously introduced this so you could rely on people not using their balance, and keep all the extra money. For the record, I contacted you IMMEDIATELY after adding the balance. You took 3 days to reply and said you would charge me $125 for some lazy ass staff member (who took 3 days to reply) to click 'refund'. That's unacceptable and straight up fraudulent. All you had to do was allow a partial card payment or refund (considering I paid the full amount via card also)... yet you continue to steal and hold your customers money indefinitely, while they cannot open anymore jobs with their balance. I repeat, stay away from Billo, there's other UGC companies out there which offer the exact same thing, without the fraud Billo run. ----- They have released this new nonsense called 'Billo Wallet'. So as instructed, I topped up my balance where the minimum you can spend is $500. Our order came to more than $500 so we couldn't use our credit. So we paid via credit card, and then asked the balance to be refunded. But oh no, they will only refund you if they deduct a 25%!!!! yes a 25% FEE! They advised that I should use the balance on another video instead... so I tried to, and my balance was $50 short of the total order value again. So I removed some features (even though we wanted the extras), and was still $1 short for the bare minimum, so now have 2 options: 1) Top up $500 and go through this process again and always be forever short. 2) Lose 25% for some person to click 'refund'. Billo used to be great, but now they're just GREEDY! AVOID at all costs. We're taking our UGC business elsewhere.

Jul 11,2024For one, the majority of their jobs are $25 & $30 for a video, but they charge the client at least $99… the creator is making $25, but Billo is getting at least $74. (You can’t knock the hustle though because creators are constantly signing up, Billo is getting a crazy ROI). Secondly, they are the only platform that allows their hard working creators to be rated. I was brand new, getting a job everyday. I had only been on the app for 20 days and I had 16 jobs already. I was getting 5 star ratings and positive messages, but I got 1 - 4 star rating from a company… I have no idea why. I asked for feedback and they didn’t give it to me. As soon as my overall ratings dipped below 5 stars because of the 4 star rating, I stopped getting jobs all together. That’s wild… My advice is to use other platforms and work with brands on your own through email. Filming and editing can be tedious. You need to be paid at least $150 for that kind of work. If you do use Billo, don’t get stuck on there for too long. Creators really are making hundreds off of 1 video everyday and striking thousand dollar deals with brands on their own. Put in your own work, network, gain experience, and do this without the help of a third party…. Your content is worth more than $25.
