Two years ago a friend recommended Blevins Franks, Santa Ponsa office, to help us with investment of inheritance sums and other complex financial matters that impacted us as U.K. Citizens and Residents in Spain. We couldn’t rate more highly the financial knowledge, professional expertise and reliability of advice and planning that we gained from Cathal Rochford and have benefited from. But it is the skills of both Cathal Rochford and Alejandro Pozuelo Taylor in listening, understanding and advising clients in a personal and human way that stands out as something special and unique. Over recent months Alejandro worked above and beyond to seek out the legal framework and legislation necessary to tailor inheritance in our Spanish Wills in respect of complex ‘extended’ family issues - information already passed to others. Dec 17,2024I contacted Blevins Franks, on the advise of a neighbour, to help with a tax efficient access my UK private pensions in France. The reply was very prompt and even though I did not have a large enough pension fund Simon Eveleigh explained all of the options on how to reduce paying tax even though there would be no benefit to himself. I have spent hours online researching tax options then Simon explained the best options within 10 minutes. Thank you

Dec 15,2024Having received the professional services from Chris McCann of Blevins Franks and his support team in Mijas, for the last 15 years I have to say that his financial management has made our early retirement to Spain a complete success. Whilst we all know that nothing is certain in the financial investment world but Chris has always had us positioned to be able to weather the drawdowns and able to take advantage of the recovery. His calming manner and in depth knowledge has been a great emotional balancer in the volatility of the last few years and has greatly benefited us in the long run. We all know that although past performance is no guarantee of future performance and you have to do your own due diligence we would suggest you put Chris at the top of your list for consideration.

Dec 03,2024Following a recommendation from a friend, we first had contact with Blevins Franks when we emigrated to France in 2004. Their report, along with their excellent book, Living in France (now at edition 11) helped us to integrate into the various French systems, such as tax and health. Our investments stayed in the UK but, following Brexit, our UK financial advisor was no longer legally able to advise us and nor manage the funds, which were therefore fixed. We therefore took the decision to bring everything over. Dave Lamont, then at Rennes (now at the Béziers office) has been enormously helpful, with clear explanations and guidance, helping us to calculate the CGT we were obliged to pay in France and setting up an Assurance Vie, which has performed very well since. Alongside the annual review meetings, Dave is always available for a chat on the phone, which is very reassuring. Following a visit to the local notaire, we understand that, as French residents, our worldwide assets are subject to French fiscal laws when we die, so we are working with Dave to find the best ways to provision for our daughter and grandchildren’s future. We recommend Blevins Franks, particularly our advisor, Dave Lamont.

We have had lots of questions to ask and they were always willing to answer them, but if they hadnt an answer immediately they contacted us as soon as they found out. We needed a lot of help with us having accounts etc in England and didnt know how to go about making sure that things were done correctly. With their help we believe its all sorted now. Jan 21,2025Superb professional (and efficient) operation.This started with transferring a number of pension pots to a single overseas qualifying pension managed by their Malta Office. Since then the performance has been excellent, highly professional annual reviews from Ms Catrina Olgivie who manages their Niort Office and anannual seminar which offers broader advice. Having also had rotten experiences from a couple of other top names, this company comes out top of the list. Highly recommended.
