We met for our annual review with Peter Hodgkinson and can't praise him enough, he has a great attitude, is very helpful and is well prepared prior to our client meeting. There is nothing too much trouble and he deals with our requests and follow up in a very timely manner. 😃
We have been with the company for five years and in the times of turmoil in the world and the markets we have recieved nothing but a first class service and advice and continue to receive the same. The members of staff who have provided this service have also been first class and their advice and support is a reflection of the company`s standing.
I've always found the people at Blevins very helpful, ready to give advice, ready to respond to questions and quick to action. They put in a lot of effort to help in switching my pension to a QROPS and it was a very fraught process so their help made a lot of difference Since then they have always been quick and responsive to any issues, they have provided recommendations and advice and so I really can't fault them
In dealings with both Brett Hanson and Peter Hodgkinson I have always been impressed with the depth of their knowledge especially with cross border matters and these being more relevant than ever. I felt that was lacking in other companies. They really take the time to under what you want and work with you to achieve that. There is a genuine interest and concern. In addition they always keep you up to date on matters and are always quick to respond on any questions. The company seems to have a really solid foundation which is so important in financial matters.
One year ago, my wife and I were looking for an advisor that we could trust to handle our finances during that very sensitive time of moving from the UK to France. After doing comparisons and due diligence (that I advise you to do thoroughly anyway), we chose Blevins Franks and haven't regretted it. They might not be the cheapest but they have the experience, provide a top service thorough the process and after. George Shepherd and Jamie Lindsay are our super competent advisors and they are also surrounded by specialists to support them for each aspect of the financial migration. Basically, our approach was to avoid false economies and have a total peace of mind as to were our capital was going and how it would be managed. That is priceless when your whole financial future hangs in the balance.
In need of advice regarding cross-border succession procedures and pitfalls, we contacted Blevins Franks (France). Simon Eveleigh, their representative in Aix-en-Provence, responded promptly and met with us within a matter of days. With patience and good humour, he offered very pertinent information based on his considerable experience of living in France and advising British people relocating to France and requiring financial advice. The encounter was both extremely helpful and very enjoyable.
We have been with Blevins Franks for several years now and James Griffiths has been our advisor for the past 5 years. He is very professional, very friendly, listened to our concerns and we always feel we can trust his advice regarding our investments. We recently had a possible inheritance tax issue, and James really thought outside the box and came out with all the information and solutions. We're super grateful... Thanks so much James!
We had some problems with french inheritance taxation and James Griffiths went above and beyond in finding us a solution
The local Associate Chartered and European Financial Adviser Joe Jewell APFS, and I must say a jolly good one, made contact with me expeditiously. He was able to answer the questions I asked in great detail regarding all things for a move to France. He explained the services offered, costs and guided me every step of the way. The advice he provided was first class, straight forward and easy to comprehend. Professional, thorough, efficient and friendly. Thank you Joe. Highly recommended.
Following some initial research into moving to France (Alpes-Maritimes) I have today spoken to the local Associate Joe Jewell APFS following a preliminary exchange of emails. My primary objective was to identify the most sensible place to stay on an investigative trip to the Cannes/Nice area given the desire to view properties and meet the appropriate local authorities. That conversation expanded into other areas as Joe's local knowledge on areas to visit, tax, medical facilities, how Blevins Franks operates, costs, etc, clarified a number of points ahead of the planned trip. Joe was extremely helpful and informative so I can highly recommend him to anyone who is contemplating a move to that part of France. As a result of that telephone call it has caused me to focus on the area to research further, which I shall now be doing, ahead of my trip to meet with Joe to investigate further.
With the uncertain situation in the UK at the moment we contacted Blevins Franks regarding our Pension fund in the UK. We have sought advice from them in the past and knew they would have the right answers. Mike Marsden phoned us back giving us extremely informative advice on what would be the best scenario for us. We are now able to go ahead with a clear decision thanks to Mike’s excellent advice. We can thoroughly recommend Blevins Frank, thank you again Mike for your help.
Thank you Mike Marsden for a speedy and professional reply. I look forward to working with Blevins Frank.
Money, wealth, budgetting, future security; all serious subjects that require some thought and planning. Doing it in a different country, in a different language makes the task more difficult and a more daunting prospect. You should never be too proud to ask for help and advice. I first contacted Blevins Franks France in 2018 and they have managed and advised my affairs ever since. I could not offer higher praise and recommendation. I have just had a personal review with my account manager. Aaran is the third that I have been associated with in the seven years I have been with Blevins Franks. All companies evolve and change and all three personal account managers that I have dealt with have been friendly, helpful and knowledgeable, offering help with financial planning, pensions, tax advice and an insight as to how to deal with the notorious French bureaucracy in regular review sessions. As I stated at the beginning of the review, money is a serious business. There are all sorts of people who seem to want to get their hands on it. Blevins Franks France offer good, impartial and professional advice on how to avoid the pifalls and problems when dealing with tax demands levied by UK and French authorities. These guys know what they are doing and make you feel confident dealing with you and your family's future financial security.
After attending a seminar in Tenerife in May, we booked an appointment to get some more information. We went yesterday and spoke with Paul at great length. He gave us brilliant information on inheritance tax, capital gains and where to put assets for the best results. He was both friendly and professional and obviously very knowledgeable.
I contacted Blevins Franks by email about a French property regarding, Wills, inheritance and tax rules etc. Mike Marsden phoned me and he was very helpful and friendly. He gave me some excellent advice and I would definately recommend Mike. Thank You Mike, your help was much appreciated. David
We contacted Mr. Mike Marsden to receive advice regarding a document requested by our bank in France. He provided prompt, concise information so that we could handle this document properly. We could not have asked for better service.
A combination of professional informed input into my decision process and a friendly personal interface that creates trust
Today, 06/06/2024, we went to a face-to-face meeting with David Lamont of Blevins Franks at their Cesson-Sévigné offices in Rennes. We both thought it might be time to review the financial and fiscal arrangements that we had set (not with Blevins Franks) as part of our move to France, 10 years ago. Getting there was easy as it is a very quick drive from the Porte de Longchamps, and David had given us an appointment time such as to avoid the heavy morning traffic. He carefully listened to what we both had to say. I had been contemplating some changes until he pointed out the tax implications and, apart from some aspects relating to inheritance tax, for which he gave us advice, our affairs were, on the whole, he thought, well organised and we had not done badly with our investments. We got an hour of useful exchanges with plenty of valuable advice from David @ BlevinsFranks and, both my wife and I felt reassured and can now look at our finances “in harmony”. As it turns out, no business was had by Blevins Franks as a result of this meeting, but should our situation change, we would have no hesitation in giving them our trust. We heartily recommend Blevins Franks, they have an office near you, you can see them and you can trust them to help!
Helpful, a pleasure to talk to and infinitely patient. I highly recommend Catrina Ogilvie at the Niort office for expat advice and planning.
