The information was very good and it provided insight into encounters with individuals displaying these traits.
It was a very informative. There were some eye opening points made that I think we take for granite sometimes.
I am autism mom that was able to attend the training in our city. I was very pleased with all the information he gave to our first responders. I truly hope they took all his information and tucked it in their minds so they will know how to proceed if they ever need to. I was honored to be a part of it!
This training was extremely beneficial! I have worked with individuals with disabilities for over 20 years and still learned so much from this training! Jerry is so passionate about this and it definitely shows! I would even recommend this for parents and family members of individuals with Autism.
Trainer is very knowledgeable on the subject. The fact that he has a son who has autism makes him that much more passionate about the subject and it shows!
Instructor is both very knowledgeable and very passionate about the subject matter. His experience as a first responder is evident and he makes the training relatable.
Very informative presentation from someone who cares a lot about the subject matter.
I thought the instructor did a great job on explaining what autism is and signs to look for when a patrol officer or someone not familiar with autism, should look for and understand.
Great training lots of important information. Should def be included in every police academy. Thank you
good information for new recruits
The course was well-presented and the speaker was well-spoken. The information was at the perfect level of informative but not too technical or overwhelming.
The information was very informative.
Great and valuable information
Concrete details about what to do while on patrol.
I learned behavioral ques which i wasn't familiar with before. I had heard of stimming before as well but didn't know what it meant. Thanks to StreetCopTraning who encouraged Capt. Gerald to give out a few free courses. Half of my agency has already signed up for the training.
Captain Turning made this information accessible and understandable and drove home the point that it is absolutely critical. Great examples and videos of real-life situations. All first responders need this information, especially because it is not just lumped in with training on mental health issues and drug use. Autism is common and unique and deserves its own category. This is what Captain Turning has done. Bravo!
I learned so much to help me in my job and working with individuals with Autism. The tips and suggestions offered will help me. Also learning how things are processed differently will have me approach thing differently. I highly recommend this class for all first responders!
This training was very impactful!! Cpt. Turning did a great job not only presenting the material but the passion he has when he presents is unmistakable. He is not only thorough in the providing valuable information but does it well in a clear and concise manner. It is really a great training to put in your tool belt. The insight you get from this is eye opening.
Going on 15 years of working in the emergency services I found this class very interesting and filled with great information.

Aug 03,202336 years in my dept....retired, and then part time SRO, I am more than "grateful" for this wonderful presentation on 'autism'. When I was a kid in my neighborhood neighborhood, we had a young man with autism. It was not called that in the late 1960's. Sadly, I was his only friend. Other kids were scared of him because of his mannerisms' and behavior. At that time, there was no "diagnosis" for autism. He was remanded to the mental retardation school during the day, except for the summers. He had all of these signature meanings. This video is extremely important to those who have never had an experience with someone with autism. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for this video, and important information of those who are autistic. 5 STAR
