Great information and presentation
Very informative. Thank you for your time. I learned a lot. Stay Safe.
I learned a lot from this class, this should be required training on a yearly basis for your department.
The training webinar I took was perfect for SAR personnel. Very good information on search strategy. Helpful tips to use in all situations.
Excellent info. Very knowledgeable. I enjoy every minute of it.
Captain Gerald Turning (Ret.) shares his personal and heartfelt experiences. Based on a true story, from working the streets as a cop, K-9 handler, to Bacon and Juiceboxes. The life changing news of learning his son is Autistic brings so many challenges and a whole new world that Capt. Turning's training never prepared him for. Jerry shares his first hand knowledge with the heart of a teacher this training will leave you wanting more. Asking why you did not get this information sooner! I recommend this training to each and every first responder. Police, Fire, EMS, Search and Rescue and most importantly ADMINISTRATION. The things you learn and take away from this training may change policy on how quickly you respond, your interaction with and ultimately have positive outcomes to truly bridge the gap. Don't be unprepared, your next call for service just might be that one that never happens to you or in your community. Jerry thank you for being vulnerable, sharing your heartfelt story with other. To you Eric and family God Bless.
Excellent information
This was a very helpful program for searchers for missing autistic persons. You did say you would forward the recording to those watching but I never got it. Thank you for a very good presentation.
Your insight was very helpful in releasing that we all have an agenda that we try to hold too. If you say your going to do something at any given time, we need to be aware that we are supposed to do what we said we were going to do. During a lost person search, the time line that was given to an autistic person for that time frame is critical. Your story about the swim park really makes things crystal clear for me. iF POSSIBLE FIND OUT WHAT THE SCHEDULE FOR THE SUBJECT WAS, BEFORE YOU GO WILLY NILLY LOOKING FOR THE SUBJECT. Very helpful information Best Regards, Jaci
The webinar was amazing. Captain Turning presented a side of Autism that only a parent could provide and as a first responder it is so important to understand the entire spectrum of autism. I feel so better equipped when needed to provide a search and rescue for an autistic person. I highly recommend this webinar. The information is priceless.
Provided insightful case studies and personal experiences regarding Autistic individuals.
Excellent information based on real life experiences. Look forward to more training in the future.
Excellent class with a lot of information. Thank you for what you bring to the Emergency Services.
This is definitely Captain Turnings Calling. He is more than knowledgeable on the topic and speaks with meaning and passion. I would suggest this class to all LEOs.
The training was great getting more of a personalized view of behavioral habits and thought patterns from an instructor who is also a parent of an autistic child. The training also gave an insight to how the parents or guardians may be thinking and feeling as well. Would recommend this to all not just first responders. Scott Robbins

May 03,2021As a Deputy and parent of a child with a disability, this was informative, and would benefit many officers/deputies (especially younger ones) who may lack the knowledge that comes from being a parent or dealing with people with disabilities and who tend to paint many MHL-style calls with the same brush.
