Butt Buffer’s seat cushions use a visco-elastic polymer for their cushioning. This core was originally developed for hospital use to prevent bed sores in patients. We re-engineered it to work for motorcycles, and it’s our secret to preventing soreness from riding. Works by Eliminating Pressure Points. The dry polymer core in a Butt Buffer never fully compresses.
Went out on the can am today first time for a long ride. MY BUTT WASN'T SORE! Riding along and really didn't think of it until I realized how long I was riding, 2 hours! When I first got the butt buffer I was skeptical. I also, let the pad set out in the sun for an hour to really soften up. I had my wallet in my left pocket and couldn't feel it was back there until I reached for it, thought I had left it at home. Awesome product!!!
Amazing product. Extends riding time considerably. Durable. Owned my first one for over a year(purchased 4/21), looks almost new and gel still works. Just bought my second one because of the USMC emblem embroidered on it. This purchase has saved me from buying a Saddlemen Roadsofa
I purchased the large size with the breathable cover for my R1200RT. The quality is very good. Haven't had a chance to go for a ride yet. The hooks to fasten it to the seat did not fit my seat. I took them off and tied the straps underneath the seat which worked fine. The pad shape is really for a cruiser. The front half of the pad does not contour to my seat. I don't know if that matters yet.
In all fairness I have nothing to compare it to. The longest I have ever ridden at one time was 150 miles and that was without any type of seat cushion. I decided to take a 2,500 mile ride. I knew the stick seat would be brutal. After extensive research and reading/watching as many reviews as I could find I purchased a Butt Buffer. The shipping was fast and the product was as described. Installation was simple and I took off in my ride. After a late start I managed to log just 400 miles. The next day I rode 500 miles and made it to my destination. I explored the area for about 3 and began my ride back. After a really late start on the first day back I was only able to ride around 300 miles before running out of daylight. The next day I rode 643 miles in approximately 10 hours. For what it’s worth I am a 52 year old male. It’s not like I’m 25! I really don’t think I could have rode that far without the Butt Buffer and I’m glad I made the investment!!
1. Looking at the pictures on the website it shows a strap that goes around the seat to secure the pad. When received, it had these cheap little shoelace like ties that broke very easily. 2. The pad does not help at all on my cafe racer. To thin and still feels hard. I got no relief. 3. I was looking for a pad that would help with longer rides. This is not the answer. 4. Waste of hard earned money.
Great Motorcycle Pad!!!!
Very good gel cushion, we bought the large one, it's heavier that it looks and thick. Well worth it for those long rides.
I can tell that the buffer really distributes my weight well and creates less fatigue.
After riding about 2000 miles last month on the Goldwing stock seat, i quickly realized something was about to give. Namely, my butt. I research a ton of cusions. I had previously own an airhawk on my prevoius bike several years ago but after reading up on the butt buffer, i decided to take a chance. It's just slightly a little more than the airhawk. Took a 500 mile ride last weekend and I can definitely tell you it is a night and day difference. I was able to go hours longer without feeling sore and even the soreness i did feel was greatly lessened by the butt buffer.
The butt buffer has helped so much with our 2022 Goldwing. Has made our riding much more comfortable. We have used them before and would recommend them if your needing more continuous ride time. It also is nice on a short trip to the store as well.
I bought this for my wife after reading ++ reviews when she started complaining about her butt hurting after losing 40# and not having that 'cushion' anymore. I looked at several brands, with air, gel, foam, and was sort of surprised when wew got it and it was so thin. We took it on our 3000 mile trip to try it out, at first, she wasn't impressed, but eventually said it helped somewhat, was better than without it.
You were great to deal with. Communications and prompt delivery are top shelf, along with the quality of the product. I purchased a medium pebble polymer pad for my 05 HD Electraglide that has a lowered two up seat. The pad did not give me dramatic relief. The jury is still out. I’m trying different positioning to see what works best for me. I carry the pad with me to ride with and without the pad looking for that position. But……. The pad works great on my John Deere. Maybe you should offer a JD green and yellow.
Today I rode 267 miles on my bike using the Butt Buffer for the first time and the Butt Buffer was A+++++ I absolutely love it and would recommend it to anyone.
Fast efficient service
Wasn’t as cushy as I thought it would be
Great service, quick delivery and product is awesome! Recommended this product for any passengers, helps ease the butt cramps or hip pain.
I've had an Airhawk on my Indian Springfield that made riding better but wasn't perfect. After seeing a review on Law Abiding Biker, I decided to try the Butt Buffer. My experience was there wasn't much difference between the two, but Butt Buffer edges it out in terms of reduced vibration through the seat. Update September 2, 2022, after riding on the butt buffer for 500 to 1,000 miles, I'm updating my review. The butt buffer is noticeably more comfortable for me. I can ride longer with less discomfort on it. It stays in place better on my seat. Move to recommend highly.
I purchased the butt buffer to use for daily commuting and long trips. I had high hopes for it, I really wanted to love it. In the past I have had to use a gel pad and a beaded seat to get the relief I needed on long trips and I really had hoped that the butt buffer would eliminate the need for multiple cushions. In the past I have used airhawk seat cushions, gel pads and beaded seat cushions. The pros: It arrived quickly. The size small fits great on my Ducati Scrambler, it doesn’t hang over the sides. Reduces vibration. Haven’t taken it on a long ride yet, but so far so good. The cons: My biggest issue with the butt buffer is that it absorbs heat. I use my bike to commute to work, so it was sitting in the San Diego sun for eight hours, mind you it was only 90 degrees that day. If I was not wearing gore tex Klim riding pants and blue jeans my nether regions would have been scalded/burned. It was so hot that I had to stand and ride multiple times during my 40 minute ride home. Even after 40 minutes the butt buffer was still warm when I arrived home. After the second day, I had to remove it from my bike because it was so unbearably hot. The first time I’ve experience swamp ass is when I used the butt buffer and I have ridden in the desert numerous times in 115-degree heat and never had an issue with sweaty nether regions. None of my previous gel cushions have ever absorbed heat like this. This seat cushion is clearly not meant for use in hot weather. Definitely not a cooling seat cushion. My second big issue is the clips to fasten the butt buffer to the bike, it is not as easy as they make it out to be. I still had to remove my seat from the motorcycle to attach it. If I have to remove my seat, I would have preferred just a strap that goes under the seat, as the clips are very tight and cause indentations into the seat. It is easily removeable by slipping the straps out of the clips and leaving the clips attached to the seat, but once you take it off you can’t get it back on without removing the seat, taking the clips off, thread the straps through the clips, reattach the clips to seat and finally put the seat back in place. They could have easily remedied the situation with a second strap or Velcro on the existing straps that would allow you to use either the clips or the strap. Definite design flaw. I did find that it does change my riding position, it feels like it tilts me forward. Not a big issue, but enough that I notice it. I really wanted to be able to use this year-round, but not possible with the way it absorbs heat. I will most likely return it as I can only use it on long trips. I am very disappointed. Once they figure out a way for it to not absorb the heat and fix the strap/clip situation, they will have a great product. Thank you butt buffer for your quick response, I really appreciate it. Yes, I would love to try the new and improved version with the smaller clips when it is available. Please let me know what I need to do. Thank you.
It is very well-made and will do well on long rides for but relief

Sep 20,2022Great butt cushion, needs improvement to Attaching the straps to the bike seat. I have already emailed the manufacture about it, I understand they are working to correct the problem.
