Nov 14,2022We were called today by Jodie acting over familiar asking for the MD by first name saying she was following up on a letter that was sent (we have not received a letter from them). She confirmed she found our number on google and was fully aware of Telephone Preference Service (TPS). Asked to speak to her manager James. Who confirmed he was fully aware of TPS and then explained he was holding information on our company in contravention of the Digital Data Protection Act (Someone is lying here, have data on our company or found from google). Seemed to think TPS did not apply as he had bought the data elsewhere. This is not correct. As he did not seem to think anything was wrong I asked to be put through to a Director. Simon answered and was quiet rude and dismissive and hung up. The law has been contravened in two aspects. Regarding cold calling TPS reg numbers and holding data on companies without permission in contravention of the Digital Data Protection act. Draw you own conclusions on this company and the fact that the director of CHARLES AND DEAN LIMITED, Simon hung up the phone when I tried to make a complaint.
