Sep 22,2019I understand that the company needs to make money, but the interest is beyond exorbitant. It seems Check City is taking advantage of the disadvantaged and poor. It can be a life saver when you need it, but after the emergency has passed it is nearly impossible to pay the debt back. 400+% is ridiculous. I hope to God I never need to go to Check City again. The people who work there are very nice, though. Also, it is very frustrating that everything stops at 6:00 PM. Most people don't get off work until 5:00 PM. The day I payed off my loan, I had to take time off work to make sure I made it before 6:00. Luckily I did, because the woman informed me that if I came in after 6:00 my payment wouldn't have posted to my account until the next day, and my regularly scheduled payment would have gone through. So Check City would have gotten an extra $220, and I would have been in the negative on my checking account and been charged a $35 fee for being negative.

Sep 22,2019When I got a payday loan, the representative made it out to seem like I would be paying these back in payments, not ALL at once. I think the representatives need to explain how the loans work a little bit better when helping customers. Probably won't be using Check City services after this situation and will be telling my familtly and friends to not use them either
