Dec 23,2024Idea is great and good value. However, I eat a lot of curry and like a bit of heat but both the chicken and lamb curries that I have recently eaten were disappointing because of the over use of chilli powder. There was no finesse. I also found the small grain rice disappointing.

Saving the types I Iike best for over the Christmas period, and I would think, from what I have tasted so far, it's going to be a great Christmas. Completely bored with Turkey, all the trimmings, and then the leftovers. Going to have the best possible time and taste. These meals will be a pleasure.

Since leaving Birmingham, however, I have found it difficult to source "home cooked" Indian food, as most take out establishment sell Anglicised versions of traditional food from the sub-continent. Chef Akila has allowed me to renew my love of Indian cuisine, I have so missed it! Thank you.
