Sep 24,2024Our first time ordering from Chef Akila, slightly apprehensive on the quality but need not have worried as they are..... Genuinely utterly delicious curries, far far better than a takeaway & a lot cheaper & will be placing other orders when required.

Sep 24,2024I found Chef Akila during lockdown and spent many a happy evening with my lock down family enjoying a top class indian meal. Since then friends and family have been sent Chef Akila meals as gifts and all have been delighted with the freshness and quality. Don't bother with supermarket ready Indian meals, this should be your destination of choice.

Sep 24,2024We were recommended Chef Akila by a friend and it didn’t disappoint. Delivery was next day. Super efficient, well packaged and kept frozen. We had the chicken chettinad, grandma’s lamb curry, black dhal, tikka sauce. All absolutely delicious. We will be back for more!

Sep 24,2024Lovely tasty dishes both meat and vegetation options, natural ingredients used, taste like homemade and easily heated up oven or microwave. I've always received them promptly, well packaged and frozen and so always have a meal in the freezer for those days I am too tired to cook.a real winner.

Sep 24,2024They messed up the order. This was my first time I ordered from Chef Akila I ordered 3 chicken and 3 lamb curry. They delivered 6 chicken curry. They apologised and refunded the price of 3 lamb curry. The food was good. However not suitable for large parties in my view due to the reheating process.

Sep 24,2024Always ready to try a different company i gave this one a go after reading reviews. I was not disappointed, an easy to follow website made me make my first order. It was delivered on my chosen day still frozen, in fact I "burnt"my fingers on the dry ice packs! No complaints there I have learnt my lesson. I have had two of my selected curries so far and the quality and taste was impressive, the portions are enough for two people and although the price is more than i would normally pay you must remember that it is a meal for two. Without doubt I'll be ordering again, there's still more for me to test.

Sep 24,2024Tried 3 now and too spicy for my taste. Also strong on Cardamom.. I’m sure they are authentic but not right for my palate. The paneer curry was mildest and best though

Sep 24,2024The curry itself was "okay" but not exceptional in taste and thus quite pricey. In fact I was quite disappointed, given all the hype about this product. I have had better in the "Finest" range. The meat was of average quality. The sauce needed more coconut and cream. I will not be buying again

Sep 25,2024I loved your korma. I am a pretty good cook but this was the best korma i have eaten for a long time i used to get a very good korma when i lived in Cambridge 25 years ago. I have never found one as good until i tried yours. This makes me so happy. I will be ordering again as soon as i have enough freezer space for 4 of them. Well done and thank you.
