Jan 20,2025Firstly the food is great. Great variety and it is all extremely tasty. Secondly you can cook it from frozen so if you get home late and don't want to cook, you just put it in the oven and hey presto 30 mins later you've got a great Indian meal. Lastly the service was very quick.

Akila's food will flip what you know about what Indian food can be, and what a deep understanding of herbs and spices can do for food. The best Indian food in the UK, no doubt. I do a £50 order every Christmas to make a glum January manageable.

Jan 20,2025My husband and I are from south India originally. Love our food…but just managed to find one restaurant in Birmingham. Now we are both over 85 and I do find it tedious to cook everyday when I actually discovered a supplier who catered for South Indian healthy meals using fresh ingredients. I was pleased when my box arrived with a kind driver who lifted the box and gave it to me. We opened the box which was excellently wrapped and sealed. I have them in the freezer now. I tried my first curry. Grandmas Lamb curry. It was so delicious with some rice that I cooked. No oil floating and I could taste the delicious freshly ground masala. I have cooked since the age of 18 and have been praised for all I cook , so nothing is new to me but this was delicious. Looking forward to the next pack….

Jan 19,2025Arrived beautifully packaged, frozen solid, straight into the freezer, no problems. I have only tried one dish so far, the village curry, and I was surprised at the depth of flavour, and the slow build up in heat. I am looking forward to trying the rest.
