Jan 06,2025I have been using the kefir and prebiotic for my daughter since October to help her with her acne and we have seen very little progression until I used cow's raw milk kefir (from a local supplier) over the Christmas holidays as a trial and the change was dramatic in a number of days. I didn't think to check if Chuckling Goat uses pasteurised milk until after this experiment and now understand that the raw milk is key (for us) to healing my daughter's skin. I also read Shann Jones' book on skin care and realise now that the goat milk used to help her son heal would have been raw milk which made a dramatic difference. But with pasteurised, you are losing all of the benefits and are using dead milk which even with the kefir added will not give you the full benefits of raw milk. I will say that the we have been using the prebiotic mixture with the raw milk kefir and that combination has been a winner, so I will keep ordering that. But unless Chuckling Goat makes a raw milk version, I will not be renewing my order. *NB: The raw milk supplier I get mine from is a former veterinarian who uses Shetland cows who graze on an organic certified farm (by the Soil Association) and allows the calves to remain with their mothers.
