Mar 17,2024I was abit dubious about ordering as the reviews didn’t seem great. I wanted a bright orange radiator, couldn’t find what I wanted in the right dimensions anywhere else. I am so happy with my radiator, comms and delivery were fine. Arrived sooner that expected. Many thanks!

Nov 25,2023The diagram for installation if the radiator shows the centre line position of the top bracket from the top of the radiator to be a minimum of 110mm. This is incorrect. The top bracket as shown in the side on view is set under the curve of the two columns so it can provide support, in other words the radiator sits on top of it. I positioned my top brackets about 160mm from the top because I wanted the radiator higher up the wall but realise now that the two top brackets might not provide adequate support, misled by the 110mm dimension. It's all too vague. Now I have to redrill and reposition the top brackets. Phoned Columnrads this morning over 40mins didn't answer. Make the diagrams clearer in future. These radiators not cheap as I make an effort and sort out your Customer Service

Nov 16,2023Really impressed. Ordered two steel column radiators and they included valves etc for free on the order confirmation page, which was a nice touch. Plumber then cautioned me that cheap column radiators can sometimes be poor quality. He was incredibly surprised when they arrived and said they were really high quality with good welding and no sounds of loose flakes inside. Was really impressed with the price. Three months on they work really well and we're decorating another room so I've just ordered a further one and the same style. Couldn't find an item on their website so called up. Very friendly and helpful lady on the phone advised me which to get and they checked with their warehouse to get one put aside so it could be delivered asap. Really impressed with this company, so far it's been a 'text book' customer experience.

Sep 19,2023I am reviewing their customer service as the radiators i bought have not yet been plumbed in. I ordered one radiator too many from the in March and only just realised but they honestly could not have been more helpful. Despite having had the radiator here for 6 months, they still agreed for me to return it. They arranged a courier to collect it, without charge and only deducted a repackaging fee of £25. Brilliant company to deal with!

Jul 18,2023I ordered 2 Silver Nickel 15 mm X 300 mm Angled Pipe Tails and Decoration Wall Plates (Pair) yesterday from their website. This morning I receive an email to say they are crediting the money back as they do not deliver to where I live. I phoned them, to say that they cannot deliver abroad. I explained that we have a Royal Mail service where I live and the cost to post would be less than they had charged delivery £3.29, a small and light product. I was told that their Royal Mail package could only deliver to the mainland. I cannot see how this can be possible, or if their package does not deliver off the mainland why they cannot use the normal Royal Mail service which thankfully delivers to all of the UK. (yes, we are in the UK after all). I could have had them posted in the UK and got them posted on, if it had of been explained when I tried to order. If they do not accept orders why take peoples money. Not good at all.

Apr 25,2023I was nervous about ordering a custom painted radiator based on reviews but service was excellent. I got regular updates after ordering, radiator arrived on time and I was notified it was on its way after they rang me to arrange a delivery date.

Mar 10,2023never buy anything from. them again. 3 weeks have been waiting for 2 radiators. On the delivery date I found out radiators are not in stock and they don't know when gonna be available. waste my time and money. Office staff in useless.

Feb 19,2023I question the quality of their radiators and the paint process. My column radiator started rusting and leaking after 4 years and is now headed to the scrap heap. Column rads were defensive from the start and followed up with a claim that the rad was poorly installed but they haven't inspected the installation properly (I offered). I also had it looked at by an expert who said it was not necessarily an installation issue as the issue isn't at the join and appears to have originated further into the radiator. I have similar rads from different suppliers installed by the same person at the same time with no problems. But based on my experience with their rad and the immediately defensive and dismissive nature of their response, I wouldn't use them again.

I would write a sarcastic review but my 40 years (2nd generation) in the heating industry was impressed by their delivery times but the product is not fit for purpose . They know it and still carry on .Shame on them .First experience of this in my working life.

Jan 23,2023Im a heating engineer so used multiple companies in the past to order radiators from. Ordered column radiators from this shambles of a company and saw they had grey and black available. Happy days! Placed order and was told I would receive a date for delivery via email. Received an email, to my surprise, explaining that the radiators were being sent away for 20 working days to be painted! What?! Never heard of anything like this before! Their customer service is shocking. Promised call backs and don't receive anything. Then I received an email stating it says on their Web page in bold writing no cancellations or refunds if sent away for painting. On the website you have to go to on the column radiator section and click on the read more symbol and read the full description of what a column radiator is and their process. I know what a column radiator is so why would I read that! Very tactile and deceiving placement in my eyes and should be hitting you in the face when first look at their page. Never, ever, ever use this website to order radiators! They take your money and run! Probably get damaged radiators now when they finally do arrive but guess what? There is nothing I can do as there are no refunds or returns once there plain radiators are sent away for painting. Bare in mind I asked to cancel this order 2 days later and it takes 20 working days to paint them so could have easily cancelled and refunded! Thieves!

Dec 09,2022Awful service. Ordered items, money taken, delivery date given for yesterday. Did not turn up and so I called today. Told that I would receive a phone call back in 5 minutes. An hour later I had to call back again as I had heard nothing. Informed that they had none in stock and would be unlikely to have them until February. That means I was able to order, have my money taken and delivery date given without them even having the product. Worse still I have had to chase them to find out. Appalling customer service. Should have listened to all the negative reviews. Waiting for refund now

Dec 01,2022The review asks me to be honest, helpful and constructive so I will try my best unlike the company when you ring them who don’t seem to care 1 but you’ve waited 3 weeks or give you any information or advice other than “ring the depot”. Placed an order for a radiator over 3 weeks ago (delivery date yesterday) which never came. Having rang the number the employee on the phone said she couldn’t get hold of anyone in the depot and to just do this myself and “keep trying all day” which is ridiculous. Completely unorganized company who take your money and wait for you to contact them before they check their stock. You have to speak to the depot who seem to have the phone unplugged as doesn't actually ring. Their advice was they would hold onto my money and delay the delivery and send out when it came back in, but couldn’t tell me when that would be. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY COMPLETE WASTE OF EVERYONES TIME!

Nov 30,2022If I could choose 0 stars I would. Do not use this scam company. They take your money, delay the delivery time after time after time. Ask you to ring the depot for an update which is just constantly engaged after ringing over 367 times over the course of a day. They’ve got no intention of delivering the goods you pay for. Stay away at all costs!!!!! Absolute scam.

Oct 04,2022I recently bought 4 column radiators and valves, in a package deal, from Column Rads. However, due to my ignorance, I made some serious mistakes with my order. I was unaware of the problems until my plumber turned up, 3 weeks later, to fit the rads. I contacted Tracey, from online ordering, who was simply amazing! Even though she was due to go on holiday, the following day, she sorted everything out, left clear instructions for her colleagues and kept me informed throughout. Amazingly, in this company, the right hand really does seem to know what the left hand is doing. When I spoke to people in dispatch and to the delivery driver, they knew exactly what was happening and what they had to do to sort my order out for me. Gary, the delivery driver, was brilliant. On both the original delivery and the return visit, he really went above and beyond what anyone could expect on a busy round. However, the star of the show was Tracey who took personal responsibility for sorting out my mistakes. The rads have now been fitted and they look fantastic. As an added bonus, they were cheaper than similar rads available on line and came in a better range of sizes and fittings. I would confidently recommend this company to anyone.

May 24,2022Superb company to deal with. Ordered over £1000 worth of radiators and they turned up far quicker than expected, 2 days. There was slight damage on the end cover panel of one radiator. One email later and a replacement arrived within 2 days. No quibbles whatsoever. Will definitely use again.

Sep 10,2024I ordered 4 radiators that were promptly delivered the day I went on holiday. When I returned, the plumber was delayed so it was past the 30 day return policy. I had, unfortunately, measured the same incorrectly and one of the radiators was too big. I contacted the company and requested to exchange the radiator for a smaller one and also order the thermostatic rad valves. I offered to return and collect myself as I understand it was my measuring skills (or lack of) that caused the problem. Column RADS referred me to mrcentralheating and mrcentralheating referred me to column RADS. Neither would help. I'm now stuck with a radiator I can't use. The person I spoke to suggested I sell it on Facebook or Ebay. Not helpful! I've no idea of the quality of the radiators. I hope it's better than the customer service. I'm yet to receive a reply from the last email.
