Mar 24,2025Sharni made a return visit to add a battery to my solar panels that were installed by CRG. She previously installed a Zappi charger for my plug in hybrid. Her workmanship is amazing and she is a credit to CRG.

We had a very successful solar panel installation a couple of years ago by CRG and we have now had them back to install 2 air conditioning units. Very happy on each occasion with the clean tidy professional workmanship. Would highly recommend. Thank you CRG.

Mar 22,2024Edit: if you had read my review properly you would have read that my emails are not getting through either, so replying saying to email you is really not good enough. Ihave been trying to contact customer service number for over a week now and I cannot get through. It would seem they have blocked my number, and when I try and email my email cannot get through either. All I want is for the work to be completed. Solar fitted, took over 3 weeks for it to actually be set up correctly and am now trying to get through as the app set up does not work or link to the inverter, of which they had set up to another address. There seems to be a total lack of any after care support.

The process from start to finish was second to none and the installation team were brilliant even with some fussy requests that I made, nothing was a problem. 100% recommendations from me.

Jan 08,2024Overall we are pleased with how CRG installed the solar panels on our house. There was an issue with communication, as what we were told was going to be the position of the panels was changed at the last moment without informing us. The first battery did not work properly but CRG fixed that quite quickly. Having a battery is really useful in the Winter as you can charge up when electricity is cheap (and there isn't so much sun!).

Oct 24,2023I had five quotes from four companies for solar panels. Chose CRG for the overall proposal, not simply price. It was installed at the end of January and nine months in I am very pleased with the panels, battery and inverter. It took some nagging after installation to get questions answered and loose ends sorted. My real complaint, however, is about the iBoost, a £500 device which uses spare power to top up the hot water. It works, but after monitoring it for several months I found the reduction to the gas consumed by the boiler was marginal at best. I would have done better to keep my £500 and sell the surplus to the grid. Then I found on their website that I cannot use an iBoost with a gas boiler. The website says explicitly that they do not recommend it. I should have been told this at the beginning. I tried four times to take this up with CRG, by email, phone, website and letter, and was ignored each time.

Oct 18,2023We approached a number of companies for a new solar installation, having no prior experience. CRG were by far the best in understanding our needs and providing the best solutions. Jack, who dealt with us, was brilliant, responding to all our questions and concerns and revising the original proposal to come up with the most suitable system. CRG were also very competitive on the price and, unlike some of the other companies, Jack did not try to sell us anything which did not make sense for our needs. We are looking forward to the survey and installation to follow and will complete our review once done.

Sep 22,2023Had CRG install my PV and battery solution. Had a fair share of remote roof top survey and bad experiences during my search so was a bit wary. They were perfect, done what they said they would do and when they said they would do it... parts arrive on this day, scaffolding up the day before and taken down after the work was completed. Team that did the install were helpful and polite. I would recommend them based on my experience.

Aug 26,2023Really Impressed I am very happy we chose CRG to purchase our solar panels and battery system through. They have even replaced our roof, making the whole process so much easier than trying to coordinate two different companies. From Jack, the initial sales consultant to Melissa, James and his gang, the electricians and Lisa, even the people from the scaffolding company, everyone was friendly, polite, efficient and knowledgeable. The site was kept clean and we were given lots of extra advice along the way on how to make the most out of the battery etc. It took just one week to replace the whole roof, and install and connect 11 panels with inverter and battery. Everything is guaranteed for 30 years, including the battery efficiency. I would highly recommend this company.

Aug 24,2023I had 4 companies provide quotes with 2 giving initial quotes based on Google Maps views on my house, they were discounted quickly because it was likely the quote would change due to roof angle/strength/tiles etc. CRG (Claudia) came out to look at the roof, attic, check the angle, review the roof quality and strength and then provided an initial assessment of 14 panels. Following initial payment of 15%, a technical survey took place quickly and revised the quote to 12 panels, which was fine. Installers were booked in, scaffolding arrived the day before and was taken down 2 working days later. The installers were fantastic, really polite, hard working and knew their stuff. The installed the panels with aesthetics in mind as I had 2 sets of 5 and 1 set of 2 on one roof. Overall, im very happy with this experience and content that I made the right choice. Whilst not the cheapest, they gave me value for money.

Aug 22,2023I was very pleased from the start, mario the sales rep visit on time, he was very pleasant and answered all of my questions and gave me some useful information. There were no hard sales. He gave me a call when we agreed on. I decided to go ahead with the installation, the price was competitive. I was given an install date and the guys arrived and worked hard to get it all done. They were very professional, the work was done Very neatly and they cleaned up thoroughly. The ladies from the office were always helpful. Thank you all at crg, job well done, you all deserve a pay rise !!!!

Jul 27,2023After considering a few installers, I decided to ask CRG Direct to install 16 solar panels, an inverter, 2 x batteries and an air conditioning unit.Throughout,the communication was excellent and the scaffolding was erected the day before installation. CRG only out source scaffolding and they to were punctual polite, efficient and removed the scaffolding the day after installation . The installation day couldn't have gone better,with everyone in the "Team" playing their part leaving us with a very efficient solar installation.I highly recommend CRG well done to you all keep up the good work!!

Jul 18,2023We researched lots of companies and chose four to visit us and quote. Two twisted our arm to sign up at once: hard selling. Two were left in the running and we hoped CRG's apparent transparency and helpfulness would be matched by the quality of the service. Well - they surpassed it. The quote was fair; the communication at every stage excellent (including a panic about how the app worked and a reassuring call at 6pm on a Saturday). Everyone is friendly, knowledgeable and never made me feel like a silly old woman (I can be with all the technical stuff). The fitters were hardworking and electricians a pleasure to have in the house: Sharni even found an old pair of expensive sunglasses in a dusty corner :) The dog loved them!

Jul 12,2023We got several quotes for our Solar Panel, inverter and battery installation. CRG were good from the start, not the cheapest or most expensive but very honest and friendly. They gave us a schedule of when things would occur. The scaffolders turned up the day before and removed the scaffolding two days after, also a friendly crew. The installers are employees not contracted individuals and they all worked together very well, polite and tidied up afterwards. The install was all done in a day and operational that evening. The paperwork did not take long to come through and then a few weeks for our utility supplier to start accepting exports from us. We are very pleased with it all and would recommend them to anyone looking to install Solar.

Apr 13,2025Installation was great, after care absolutely shocking, have an issue with the air conditioning unit they installed, called at least 10 times in the last year, no one ever answers, leave a message and no one has ever called me back, unfortunately now would never recommend them then to anyone, would just like them to call me back and redeem themselves??!!
