Jul 03,2023Easy to order, good item and speedy delivery. One suggestion is that an invoice be sent with the parcel, (not everyone can print indoors) so that one has some details to file for future reference.

Jun 10,2023I paid £75 for a doorbell. No installation instructions incliuded. No instructions at all. figured it out, not that difficult. Doorbell cowling needed attaching to wall mounted doorbell. No fixing positions, Designed my own and spent a further 2-3hours making the bracket to fit the doorbell cowling, Looked at the doorbellworld website for help - none found Noticed the ridiculously expensive replacement parts! - £4.55 for a nylon tubular bell hanging "loop" - you get more sturdy ones holding pricetags on clothes in the shops. Not impressed.

Jun 04,2023This mounting plate wasn’t good quality like the original that came with the doorbell. Instead of being plastic I’d guess it was 3D printed? Essentially the material isn’t as strong and all the edges aren’t as defined. When I clipped the doorbell onto the original mount I would need to pull back a little “hook” to release the doorbell but with this mount I can just slide the doorbell off. Hopefully it lasts ok.

Jun 01,2023I couldn’t get the replacement door switch to pair with the bell unit. All that was wrong with the old switch was the push mechanism so I put the old electronics into the new switch case and it works fine.

May 14,2023I was not overly impressed with the quality of the ‘wooden’ bell surround as it had a scuff on it and I had to varnish it myself. The brass surround isn’t lacquered so will weather. When my husband fitted the bell it didn’t work. When he took it apart the solder had broken on the wires. After receiving a request from doorbell world to contact them I sent them an email regarding the bell and despite claiming they would deal with the problem, over a week has gone by with no response. Luckily my husband is an engineer and soldered the chime wires so the bell is now on and working. I have now received an apology from doorbell world showing me that my email had gone into junk mail (perhaps best to check that more often) and offering an exchange of bell. We have resolved the issue ourselves but it was nice to have the option of a replacement.
