May 05,2023I bought a ‘Harcostar 227 Litre Green Water Butt Kit’ and ‘Be Green 500ml Water Butt Freshener’ on 3/4/2023. The delivery time was very poor. My order did not get dispatched until approximately 3 weeks later. I then received no communication from the courier (DPD) regarding delivery dates and times, the delivery arrived unexpectedly just as I was leaving for work, if I had left 2 minutes earlier, I wouldn’t have been in. As soon as I took delivery, I could see a wet stain that had soaked through the bottom and the side of the carboard box. Upon opening the box, I found that this was being caused by the 500ml Water Butt Freshener that I had paid for having been haphazardly thrown in the box with the water butt with absolutely no padding or protection and had been damaged and leaked most of its contents all over the water butt and box. When I came to install the water butt, I found that the installation instructions for the installation of the Universal Rain trap were completely useless and literally might as well have said, “here is your water butt, work the rest out for yourself” for what use they were. Only after watching several videos on YouTube was I able to work out what I thought was the correct procedure for installing the rain trap, however, this seems to have not been the case because I have now had the water butt installed for 2 weeks, in which time there has been multiple periods and heavy rain, yet the water butt has not collected so much as a single drop of water, so either it is installed incorrectly, due to the worthless installation instructions or the product is just generally no good? This is clearly and extremely unscrupulous seller because I posted a 2 star review on their website about a week ago to reflect this experience, however, I have just had a look at the website and my review has been deleted. It is clear that this seller simply deletes any negative reviews to give buyers the illusion that their products receive nothing but 5 star reviews. I would suggest that this seller is very untrustworthy, and I would not recommend buying anything from them.

Further order acknowledgement received 5 April and order queried by email the same day but again no response. Replacement delivered with no charge and no query 15 April Not bad service, certainly not quick but could be a lot better simply by replying to emails
