This house is amazing!! The pool was above any expectation. We had a few issues, but 5 star took care of it immediately!! Thank you so much for the wonderful weekend.
House was very clean and well appointed. The code to enter didn't work when we arrived but a quick call back to the office corrected the issue.
Very attentive to our needs.
We arrived at the condo to see a dirty, dated condo. After getting our things put in the rooms, I went to open the sliding door in the master bedroom and the handle fell off onto the floor. We unloaded our suitcases to put them in the closet and the whole track was broke and the door wouldn't even close. The TV in the master bedroom didn't work all week. The air condition didn't work. When we finally checked the control panel on the wall, it didn't even have batteries in it. The lamp in the guest bedroom didn't work. The refrigerator had rust on the outside of it. The walls were dirty and had marks all over them. There was a big hole by the washer and dryer that had not been fixed. There was old brown carpet in the master bedroom that looked very dated. The only good thing about the condo was the view. This condo should not be rented until the owners update the whole condo. We have stayed here at The Pelican Resort for at least 20 years and I know this condo has never been redone. We wait all year to do the great escape for a couple of weeks and then to pay that much for a condo that looked like that was very disappointing. We reached out 2 times to management while we were there and requested some of our money back but have not had a response back.
There were a few parts of our trip that I felt could have been handled better by the Property Management company. The heat was out on the pool at the house we rented and I know there's nothing they could do to change that, but I just felt their messaging around it wasn't very compassionate to how much that would change our trip, nor did they offer any suggestions to help. For example, I would have loved hem to say hey there are these other pool options in the neighborhood. Something. Additionally, we called and asked for a late check out and were granted permission, only to get an angry call at noon asking why we weren't yet gone. It seems there was a miscommunication on their end, but again it's all about HOW the message is delivered that can make the difference. I work in sales I think respect in business is a key ingredient to making sure we're all happy at the end.
Prompt communication. They didn't always have a straight/correct answer at first call, but they got there. Web interface, and check in/out process was excellent. I would rent from them again.
Renting was an easy process and we had great communication from five stars. We rented the house two years in a row. There was a lot of wear and tear on the house in just one year. That was disappointing. Otherwise everything was great.
The Condo was extravagantly decorated which was very nice- the pictures didn’t reveal how extraordinary it was in person. Our only issue was Cold Water in the 2nd Bedroom Shower. After 2 maintenance visits the problem was not resolved & were consistent throughout our checkout. Hindsight says staff should have offered us another room or accommodations should have been priority.
The only complaint we would have was the 2 single beds were not comfortable at all.
When we checked into our rental the air was not working on the main floor. They did send two different people out but it wasn’t until the next day that it was fixed. Unless, we wanted to stay up until 11/12 waiting on the repair guy. So one couple had to sleep with doors open (thankfully it was cool out at night). Also, the vent over the stove was not very clean. Apparently someone before us had used their finger to write “clean me” in the grease/dust build up on it. Not very welcoming.
This home, It's About Time, has been one of our favorite family vacation places. There are 23 of us and accommodates us well. The family gives it high reviews! The staff are most helpful and response timely to our needs. . Again, thanks for a wonderful vacation!
Wonderful week! House was clean and ready for all of us. Beds were comfortable and all of the amenities were just as listed in the description, everything we could have needed. We will be back!

Customer Service was Excellent. To say the BEST SERVICE RENDERED by Chris who seemed to have knowledge about the homes themselves as well as Anrhony who has a great sense of humor and a Great Personality. Dream Weaver is a Beautiful Home but lack upkeep and cleaning. Siding on front and pool area has green mildew and lack curb appeal due to it. Frig needs a thorough Cleaning as well as outside furniture, Windows and mirrors Also. Some patio furniture needs replacing. NO PRIVACY DOOR TO 3RD FLOOR MASTER SUITE, A BIG DEAL BREAKER. NEED UPDATED COOKWARE AND KITCHEN DINNER WARE.Home has Beautiful Furnishings. Need a Frig Downstairs and chairs in some bedrooms. Nowhere to sit but on beds .APPRECIATE THE USE OF ELEVATOR DUE TO PAST HEART SURGERY. And Seniors in group. Elevator mad a loud screaching sound going up.Driveway is tight for for large vehicles. Other than that home would be a Great Home. Housekeeper needs to be more thorough in cleaning.
You can’t beat the location of this home. It allowed our group to enjoy the beach in multiple ways. Overall the home was good however there were some issues that were less there desirable. The pool on the first level was not cleaned it has debris and cigarette butts in it. The first level bathroom had a used washcloth and the sink didn’t properly drain. The third floor bathroom tub didn’t properly drain. Even though there was a note about the lights in the elevator not working the light provided was inadequate and left you in total darkness. Upon arrival we could not access the property due to a low battery on the lock. Someone came out immediately and fixed the issue which was great and he had work orders for other things that we allowed him to fix however we wish they had been fixed prior to our arrival. Also the front gate does not remain closed when you push it closed. Lastly upon coming back to the home we found someone working on the pool we were not aware anyone was there and the two guest that were still in the home indicated the doorbell was not rung. Since the pool of off a bedroom it was very unsettling to come out and have someone there.
5 star was very attentive and wonderful! Would absolutely stay in one of their properties again!
There were 14 of us and we had a blast!! White sands at the tip of your toes. Beds were comfortable, elevator a must at certain times. Accommodated ages 18-50, walking distance to restaurants and stores. We played volleyball, boogie boards, sitting out on the beach, and partied throughout the night in the house. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED... 5 DAYS OF FAMILY FUN...
5 Star delivers 1 star ..... Our house in Destin, FL was as advertised ..... but the property mgmt. company (5 Star Properties) fell way short of being a property mgmt. company. Without boring the masses here - they essentially lacked any customer service, fell short on what they stated over the phone and most importantly, hid behind their rental agreements to defend themselves. When we didn't have an operable pool & spa (i.e. no heating to either, of which we paid extra for) upon checking in on the first day and two more days thereafter, they felt like a refund of the heating fee's would be appropriate (which I had already disputed the charges with my CC company), and {Martha @ 5 Star} trying to get me to answer "yes or no" {on a recorded call} if I read point #25 of my rental agreement - which indicated they weren't liable for malfunctions to the pool/spa -- to which I stated, "how can you use that as a line of defense, when the units were not working upon our arrival" -- absolutely 'no comment' ...... the entire experience borders on being "Fraud" - they (and their pool vendor) had to know the heater wasn't working properly, but apparently chose to ignore it. I spoke to three rep's @ 5 Star and only Justin was semi-helpful & polite -- the other two, well let's just say they really need some additional training.
