Our instructor, Stephen Mercer was super thorough and was very specific as to the areas of knowledge, and exam content, that we should focus our attention on while preparing to sit for the PMP Certification Exam. He is extremely generous by sharing his professional knowledge, and personal first-hand life experiences with us leaving me no doubt that I was being instructed by a SME in this highly specialized field of expertise. His presentation style was very easy to follow and was clearly structured for maximum knowledge transfer. He has a great sense of humor and was able to keep me fully engaged during the fast-paced, knowledge packed training sessions, while remaining approachable for any questions or concerns that anyone may have chosen to express. His commitment to helping us grasp a better understanding of the PMP universe, is refreshing, truly priceless, and is greatly appreciated. Working with Stephen, and Gold Standard, has provided me with a level of confidence that I did not possess prior to this training. Thanks to Stephen Mercer, and the Gold Standard tool kit, I now feel prepared to approach the PMP certification exam with an expectation of success in my sights.

Apr 07,2025Stephen was an amazing instructor. As a neurodiverse individual with ADHD I was able to follow allowing with too many distractions, and that is hard to accomplish. He provided us with great examples, and he met everyone where we were. I would definitely take a class with him again, as the curriculum was well thought out.

Apr 07,2025The additional materials and expertise shared by Mr. Mercer are a true bonus when he instructs the four-day course. Despite the fast-paced classes, there were interactive opportunities and sufficient breaks and he paused for questions and comments which made the virtual setting less sterile.

Apr 07,2025I enrolled into the PMP class with Stephen Mercer. He was very knowledgeable, kind, and knew his stuff! He was always willing to engage with the group, answer questions, and he provided tons of great resources. I had an enjoyable experience, and could tell he wanted to help everyone succeed. The course is mostly listening to him walk through the presentation, but he provides examples, deeper context, and additional resources to support the information.

Apr 07,2025I found this course very helpful in navigating and understanding the foundations and intricacies of the PMP exam. An extensive material is provided along the course with practical scenarios, samples tests, and additional charts and concepts that is needed to be successful in passing the test. Stephen was always eager to answer questions and translating them into real life scenarios that fit the needs of his students

Apr 07,2025I would like to have been provided with more exam prep techniques & info, but overall Stephen's instruction has been insightful. GS & Stephen have provided a lot of learning and reference materials, which are also super useful.

He streamlined a vast amount of content, focusing on what truly matters, and provided a fantastic library of resources for study and reference. His real-world experience made complex concepts practical and engaging, often more so than the test-focused material. While I haven’t taken the exam yet, I feel well-equipped thanks to his guidance. Highly recommend!

Mar 03,2025Survey Feedback The instructor is amazing and provides valuable insights during the course. However, the pace of the course can feel overwhelming at times. Additionally, the test questions are too complex and numerous, making it difficult for someone new like me to fully comprehend and manage within the given time. As a beginner trying to understand the PMP course material, I found the combination of challenging questions and limited time to be quite demanding. It would be helpful if the course materials were provided in advance to allow for better preparation. That said, the instructor did an excellent job of pointing out key areas and offering study guidance, which was very useful. Overall, the course is informative, but there is room for improvement, particularly regarding the test structure and difficulty level. Simplifying the questions or providing more time to complete them would make the learning experience less stressful and more effective..

Mar 03,2025Stephen Mercer's knowledge and experience in the business world and on the topic of Project Management makes him a highly valuable teacher. Much of the material is quite dry but the way he shares real life examples and allows for Q & A really helps keep the learners engaged. The documentation and templates he shares are tremendously valuable for helping you prepare for the exam and translate all this PM knowledge into skills.

Mar 03,2025Class and pacing was perfect since I signed up for a weekend course. Breaks were timed perfectly and Stephen took a lot of time to answer questions and dive into content. Would have like to see a slide or 2 on test taking strategies but overall content was what is needed.
