I really like it so far I been wanting to get it for a while now but we book for early for 1.00pm we got in at half1.10pm
Went to Gullivers World, Warrington, after a wonderful night at their hotel. Been coming for years now, first with our children and now grandchildren. The children absolutely loved it, as always. The majority of the staff were friendly and welcoming. The two guys on the indoor ladybird ride and boat ride need to go on a course ‘how to communicate with customers’.laughing and joking when talking constantly to each other, rude and dismissive when not talking to customers, oh no one did say “get on then” to our two year old granddaughter. One chewed gum throughout. How the hell did he get a job?
It is really run down only one kiosk for coffee so slow as nly one machine then ran out of coffee would not recommend
DO NOT STAY OVERNIGHT HERE. Booked a last minute Dino Den number 4, for my family and i have left with severe BED BUG bites all over my arms, face and back, not just a few small bites, massive sores all over. I wrote a complaint and the 'complaints manager' Darren offered a free nights stay as compensation. I will never be putting myself or my young family at risk by staying here again. He said they have treated the den with chemicals but cannot provide me with a thorough report that any inspection was carried out. I will never be returning to Gullivers Milton Keynes again.
We visited the park on the 10th September 2022.The main issue with the weekend was the accommodation. We stayed in a Dino lodge and whilst not expecting 5 star accommodation we expected clean, comfortable, safe accommodation which it wasn’t. We immediately asked to be moved upon seeing the cabin but we’re told all accommodation was fully booked and as to not disappoint the children we stayed but I was very uncomfortable. The toilet was leaking and there was a dirty old mop left in the bathroom which I assume was to clean the leak. The sofa was filthy and I asked for an extra sheet to cover it to sit on and it was broken and extremely uncomfortable. The sheets on one of the twin beds was dirty, glasses and cutlery was dirty. There was not enough crockery provided, the cabin was for 4 people but there was only 2 plates, and 2 bowls. The door frame on the main bedroom was broken and my daughter cut her leg on it. Only 2 towels were provided for the 4 of us. The whole cabin was dirty and tired and in my opinion needs remodelling or closing completely. I called the hotel about the issues but got a voicemail and didn’t want to air these issues in front of other excited guests arriving so decided to write. I highlighted the issues and after a lengthy wait received a poor response offering a discount on another stay. I would not stay here again if I was paid to. We limited our time to the bare minimum the standard of the cabin ruined our trip.
Some reviews mix up the different Gulliver's resorts, this is for Gulliver's kingdom at Matlock Bath. I've been going for almost 6 years. It has always been excellent. It is aimed at under 12's but there are a few very good rides that teenagers will like. Some rides are people powered - bicycles and monorails. The park uses it's environment (the side of a gorge) very well and the magic carpet, drops, crow's nest and pirate ship appear higher than they are. The mine train is in a real cave. The ski lift is very helpful. Queues for the rides are generally short (except when school is out) but even you can still get on most rides quickly (about 5 mins, 10 on popular rides). A day ticket is quite good value (£18) as you will stay there at least 3 hours, more likely 4-5 and can make a day of it if your kids have stamina, (there are over 20 rides). NB annual tickets are really good value. They have an end of summer festival which has beautiful lighting, fancy dress and fireworks. I have never eaten there, it's just under £5 for kids meals. Staff are really friendly and helpful, The toy shops there also have weird and interesting stuff that I have never seen elsewhere. I've bought toy swords, axes, lances and Lego type things that have stood the test of time. Matlock Bath is beautiful and the park views are stunning. There is a nearby river walk and kids play parks as well. The biggest downside is that Matlock is a bit out in the sticks so it's a fair drive from anywhere to get there. Overall, excellent, one of my favourite theme parks in the UK, smaller than the other Gulliver's but better, in my opinion.
Very average day out that really wasn't worth the money. Most of the day spent queueing with only 3 rides managing to experience. Most rides had broken carriages and staff were really slow and seeming uninterested. Park opening times especially in the summer lead me back to lack of value in ticket prices, given that some rides then don't open until 11.30 once your in... Save your money and enjoy a family day out else where...
Attended the Warrington Gullivers over the weekend with my 6 year old and 2 year old, and was extremely disappointed after the two hour drive. We spent 5 hours at the park and only managed to get onto 3 rides due to the extremely lengthy queues, such a waste of money and travel time. The wait for food was also well over an hour and staff had to be told my a member of the public to wear gloves when handling various orders. Totally gone downhill from when we last attended 2 years ago and definitely will be avoiding in future.
disgusted with how we’ve been treat. Came last year with my child who’s dad just died but arrived to a power cut. Staff took details and said they’d be in touch to rebook tickets. Nobody did and every time we call we are fobbed off with “a manager will call you”
Dont bother , should be clear its more for 5yr olds and under Entrance is not clesrly sign posted, its overcharged no OAP discounts needs updating toilets are not nice dark and dingy most of the staff are miserable and jobs worth, food is appauling, all in all they need a lesson from Disneyland they certsinly got it right in florida, boat ride extremely run down and why oh why font these places understand good catering with good food . Wont back thats for sure.
Absolute disgrace took my family and my 6 year old daughter is autistic she was Going on the caterpillar ride with my elsest daughter and showed her proof of disability and the way in which she was spoken too was an absolute disgrace by the ride operator it was disability discrimination against a child and then to top it off we goes for food and there was a member of staff stood behind the food counter where there was open food on the hot plate with her finger up her nose i wouldnt go back here if it was the only place in England to take my daughter i am disgusted with it and gullivers world think its ok to give me a refund or a day back there for free i visited the park on 9th August and this has gone on since then with my complaint.
visited gulivers World yesterday with the family not been for a few years. It was very busy obviously school holidays but all the staff so friendly and helpful all through the day, had to queue for rides but again the little play areas around the park kept the kids entertained while we queued lots of staff out and about making sure everyone and everything all OK defiantly come back again. would recommend booking online to save yourselves some money though
Our local Gulliver's is in Milton Keynes. We love it. I can't understand the bad reviews. The theme park is great (my kids actually preferred it to Disneyland Paris!) And we recently visited the dinosaur farm park which was equally as good.
Overall great experience. We stayed at the Wild West accommodation. Good hospitality & they go the extra mile for the kiddies like marshmallows on the fire, milk & cookies, movie... The kids loved it all!. The theme park was great it can just use a bit of a facelift. All the rides were open so we had a good 2 days of fun. One suggestion I would make is the park can keep up with bigger & better rides that the other theme park offer. We will definitely come again for the kiddies to have their fun
Visited Gulliver's near Warrington. Brilliant family day out with lots of clean toilets, refreshment booths and fun rides. HOWEVER there were also lots of neglected areas in the park and rides that were not open. Everywhere needed a good scrub and a lick of paint. It appears that no money has been spent on updating the place. It was very busy but I am giving 5 stars to the mainly young staff who were always pleasant, helpful and professional.
We checked in, walked to our cabin, it was JCB, not the beach one we booked. Filthy, metal floor ripped/damaged and sharp pointy bits sticking up, marks and bogeys on walls, the smoke detector was broken, wall by the door damaged, walls covered in mould, under sink covered in dirt, bathroom covered in mould, shower head rusted, toilet roll holder had sticky/dirty substance on and fell off, dirt/dust over floors, curtain was damaged, black blankets on the beds were filthy, tv remote missing battery cover, a bin outside cabin had rubbish pouring out on the floor, cello-tape stuck on wall in outdoor area, wooden table was broken and spiky vines over growing into the area too, the whole cabin was not clean/safe for my children. Specifically booked beach den as the beach is our daughters favourite place, we wanted her to wake up on her first birthday somewhere special, however, we got to wake up in a filthy and unsafe JCB cabin which upon check in, no one told us we had been moved, we complained and got told someone had booked beach den on booking.com (I booked on Gulliver’s actual site), so they were overbooked and just upgraded us to a slightly bigger room. We were offered an accessible Wild West lodge but it looked like any old cabin, nothing special for a girl celebrating her birthday, it still wasn’t what we booked. Was eventually agreed that we would be given a refund and a gift for my daughter from gift shop, we accepted because it was getting late, everyone was tired. No where to get any breakfast on site, had to leave park to get breakfast. Went to Dino & Farm park, awful, lots of enclosures in the reptile house/farm part empty, no shops for drink or food open, foliage was overgrown covering dinosaurs, most dinosaurs were broken/not working, water ride smelt awful from mucky water, all staff members apart from one were grumpy, left after an hour. My partner went to get manager who said to find him in the morning to get our daughters gift from the shop, the manager was saying he never said he would do that and instead said “No I was trying to get something sorted out for her last night but you seemed more bothered about a refund” (We spent more time asking if they could do something special for her or give us a more girly accommodation since it was her special day). He then said “I couldn’t get anything sorted last night so nothing is in place”. I reminded him about the state of the JCB cabin and he said “If you would of told me last night, I could have done something like sent the cleaner in”, a cleaner can not fix damaged things or clean off mould and my partner had told him the night before that we weren’t happy with the JCB cabin. Then went to Gulliver’s park, the rides were good, some a little tired, but overall my kids enjoyed the rides. A fair few things were not good, soft play area was filthy, dirt/dust on floor, mould covered fire door, poo/dirt smeared in ball pit with tissues and trio hazard floor, toilets filthy, rust/dirt over floor & tiles falling off wall. All but 3 staff were grumpy, had several staff telling us about being understaffed and told they had to stand out in the sun all day with no break because of that, so they said “I can’t be f word bothered, if they make me stand out here with no break, I’m f word walking out” in front of kids. A few rides were closed and a real lack of places to get drinks/food, options were ice-cream, chicken nuggets, chips or burgers. Got 2 burger meals, the lettuce in them was brown/wilted, tried to return them for something else or a refund, told no. Left the park, we’ve stayed at and visited a lot of Theme Parks, this is the worst.
Unfortunately 1star is being generous. We booked the princess room for an overnight stay at Matlock Bath. Terrible, disgusting, dirty and disorganised. Rooms are converted containers stacked on top of each other! Tired, very strong smell of wet damp& urine, no mattress protector or pillow protectors, stained dirty damp carpets, pictures hanging off the walls, sodden filthy faux grass on balcony, dirty windows, cheap furnishings and beds. Some staff were great, others clearly couldn’t care less. We didn’t receive our breakfast, staff didn’t know anything we asked. Just a bad experience from start to finish. How this place remains open is a mystery to me, health and safety need to take a look! Very disappointed with the hotel. Park itself was ok.
Went with 3 children, two aged 10 and one 7. My view is it needs quite a bit of money spending on it and it looked very tired in places, but it's not for adults it's for children. They all loved it, spent over 7 hours there, wasn't massive queues (May 22) food was good (Burgers, chips) lots of choice, all the staff we came across where very helpful, lots of parking so overall a great day out.
Good day out for children of all ages, plenty of rides to choose from and all of them fun even for the adults. Good food selections, and a beautiful park to walk around. The pirates that walk around are also very interactive with the children. However, not one thing seems to have been updated in the last 30 years. It looks exactly the same as when I'd go 20 years ago. Parts of the park are very run down and could do with a lick of paint or a refurb. We went on the wooden roller coaster and the seat belt snapped when putting it on, leant against a fence and part of it fell down. Some staff members look absolutely miserable (but the older gentleman on the dinosaur train was a delight!). Wait times can also take a long time but that's to be expected. Would love for it to be open longer so you can go on everything, but will still return with my son whenever possible.

Feb 23,2023Terrible customer service still waiting for a reply from my complaint nearly 2 weeks, most rides were closed, over priced food of bad quality and terrible choice of rides. Don't waste your money go blackpool or even southport. Maybe they will read this and reply to there emails or maybe they don't as there is to many or they just can't be botherd.
