Apr 23,2023This company will drain your money until they are satisfied. When you paid, will give you schedule as normal, but during the training they will not teach anything, just keep shouting at you. When it is just 1-2 days to the exam, the instructor will inform you that you are not ready, he will not allow you to take the exam even if you fully paid already. If you leave then you waste your time and money, then you will beg for a chance to continue your training, it is what they want, they just want you to pay more and they no need to say it by themselves.

Oct 26,2021Don't do it! Lied to me about what I was getting for my money, when I queried it advisor's all said something different. So I supposedly paid extra for re tests which I repeated to the advisor who said I was right multiple times, turned out it was crap and lies. Add to that I'm based in Wrexham and they tried to send me to Manchester despite there being training providers within 10 miles of me so they could save money. Scammers don't use them

Aug 17,2021I lost £1500 when these con men went bust during the first covid lockdown. The claim they couldn't carry on with the losses due to no tests was nonsense, they're staff would have been furloughed and people like myself had already paid. Avoid at all costs and go with a small independent local school, funnily enough none of them went bust in the lockdown...

Jan 20,2021This company went bust Specialised HGV training and i have never received notification through post or email i been scratchong my head for a year and waiting on them to call me back everytime i called line was not used!!! I am still paying Etika monthly instalments and recently found out that they went bust DO NOT SPEND MONEY WITH THEM !!!!!

Dec 28,2020If you're thinking on using this company thing twice. This company overcharges you for everything. I failed my class C+E test and tried to use my insurance which I paid £699 but said the insurance only covers for the test not for lessons. Yousef said this will cover me for a couple hours of lessons and the test but was told completely different when I tried to claim it. They said additional hours will cost £100 per hour. I called in with the training centre and they quoted me £60 per hour. When I asked for a refund on my insurance the company said you are unable to have a refund as we are in a "procurement" stage. I only called up to ask about additional hour training. I haven't asked them to book anything yet. If anyone has a brain, don't go with this company. Save yourself £2,000 and just read the government guide to get a license. Only simple minded would go with this company. www gov uk/ become-lorry-bus-driver

Dec 17,2020I booked with hgv driver training centre in September after receiving a very convincing sales pitch. During the theory I had good communication right up to the theory tests. However, I struggled to contact anyone to get the CAT C booked which eventually was booked for January. The module 4 CPC was booked for December. Unfortunately the module 4 was cancelled and it took quite a few attempts to get this rebooked. The last week I have been trying to cancel the course as this didn't meet to expectations as originally I was told to expect completion around November. To which I was only offered a 30% refund. My advise would to be to avoid hgv driver training centre as they are very good at selling you the product and not good with communication or transparent when it comes to how long the course will take.

Nov 16,2020Very good company at selling you a very stress free course. Shame it was just a dream! It makes me very sad to say I’m just very disappointed in the whole experience that I’ve been given and regret the day I agreed to do my C and C+E with them. I have 0 trust in this company now please please please if your reading this and thinking of using them please take a word of advice just book everything yourself don’t be lazy like I was. I really wish I did now.

Nov 01,2020I would give them 0 stars if I could. Last year I done the finance with them to get the hgv training. I had to keep calling to get my medical book in amd finally they did for me. Then I had to keep calling them to book my theory test but then they close down company because of covid and open again as new company but same website. They make me still pay finance but say they are different company but they are using same website. They steal my money.

Oct 09,2020Another company who is interested only in taking your money. It was a phone call but totally unprofessional! Happily, I've changed my mind after reading some comments on uk.trustpilot. They actually are not a driving school. They are just brokers. They don't have their own vehicles, trainers. You pay a lot of money and they will subcontract different private driving schools in order to get the practical training. Shouldn't be bad "per se" but I already had a bad experience with another broker who call itself driving school. My advice, avoid them! I decided to edit my review because apparently the company I reviewed is not happy with my point of view! As I specified in my first review, I had a phone conversation with one of the employees or maybe the company's owner. Due to my previous experience with a similar company (the services they offer are more or less the same) I was able to conclude that they are not a "real" driving school (office, staff, instructors, their own vehicles, a garage, etc.,). I do believe other people must know this in order for them to be helped to make a good choice I even said that being a "broker" is not wrong per se. READ IT WELL This company is nothing more than a SCAM! they were trading as specialised training services limited and the website hgvtraining DOT UK was and is still owned by that limited company. They have taken hundreds of customers monies and now have gone into administration. They also ran a company called ADVANTAGE TRAINING SERVICES LIMITED that went bust after someone walked in strapped up because the company took thousands and never delivered training. Now they have started the same website hgvtraining DOT UK rebranded as HGVT after then hundreds of thousands from customers. they launched another LIMITED company called HGV TRAINING SERVICES LIMITED which only filed 4 months of trading. DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY NOR ANYTHING TO DO WITH HGVTRAINING DOT UK

Sep 07,2020Complete SCAM and fake reviews! They do not train people, it's a call centre that pretends to train and have loads of training sites. They don't do any training of their own and don't have any vehicles. I was quoted nearly £3,000 for class 2 and all they were interested in was trying to get me to do finance. Found a local company that did it for £1250 ---------------------------------------- UPDATE 3/12/2020 - Shows how corrupt these are, they have just changed the company name on Trust Pilot and sent the same standard template reply to ALL 1 star negative reviews so TP delete these as the wrong company... funny how they haven't written this on any internally made 4/5 star reviews??!!!! Just the negative ones! Trying to be clever by reporting negative reviews as fake or wrong company by changing the business name temporarily and then putting it back once TP remove the negative. Don;t worry though, Watchdog are aware of this and I am documenting all the changes and screenshots showing this

Aug 14,2020If I could of left 0 stars I would of done. Where do I begin this company my partner signed up too a year ago 8/8/2019 first thing to note is they want your money FAST. He did his first lot of written stuff in September 2019 and passed his CPC in early October and then in late October fell ill and had to have emergency surgery twice, so for 3 months was unable to resume any more training whatsoever but they wasn’t that great about it even though he paid £3397 they was like I suppose we can do it out of good will?! I thought are you having a laugh? I can’t swear on here or I would. Made a good recovery and end of January re booked for a test but next available test wasn’t now until 24th of March 2020. Few days before Covid 19 starts ramping up and he was praying his test wouldn’t be cancelled but then boom it was, absolutely gutted. Contact almost stopped from them overnight it’s like they was all evaporated into a big black hole as the Covid 19 really ramped up, initially I thought ok yeah a lot of companies are going to be in the same boat but little did I know what would happen next. So we waited 3 months going on guidelines they wouldn’t be operating until minimum July, we sent several emails on a regular basis with no reply and just once I managed to speak to someone on there Facebook and they was dodgy as hell and just gave a load of rubbish about they didn’t know blah blah blah so I kept trying to ask questions but got no where and after a few messages in one day I got an automated direct gov link, to use and low and behold that still had said tests will resume 13th of July 2020, so that date came and went and at this point we was both trying to phone them every day 2/3 times as day to get there you have reached the specialised HGV TRAINING voicemail so I in the end left them 3 snotty voicemails as I was getting highly suspicious by this point and agitated. So I started mentioning money and asking potentially for money to be refunded as like I said getting suspicious with good reason then magically a little fairy appeared in my partners email (also who had sent around 8 emails and tried to contact them with no reply) but this little fairy told him that they was looking to book tests and re training in again for mid to end August we was like yes a little progress FINALLY but I was still furious with there terrible customer service lack of communication, lack of empathy, lack of any actual staff and just vile staff in general. So my partner then contacted RSM the 3rd party the middle men the real humans who he done his actual training with and left them a message/email over the weekend and first thing Monday morning (3rd of August) they rang him and told him that they have gone bust on Friday and he was like what. At this point to say I was fuming was an understatement again I can’t say what I actually said, but my god total shock then set in, and they directed him to the administrators page/notice on the internet to read ‘ceased training’ and at this point my partner he had not received an email to then discover a few days later it was in his ‘Spam’ like the awful stuff in a tin leaves a nasty taste in your mouth. That letter was the same as provided online with a loud of rubbish written just with his name at the top that’s it. So after 5 months of trying to contact them this is the result. THATS IT. They have had the full £3397 paid on a debit card and was happy to have took all that last August and to be a year on and have no completed the course, I have no words for this company not ones I can safely leave on here anyway. We now have a huge fight on our hands as the administrators dealing with this are also rude an real theme going on here, but I won’t stop until he recovers ALL of his money paid in full for a course that was never completed having the pass guarantee there 92% rate of getting new qualified drivers into well paid work and £3397 is way over the average cost of this sort of training there robbing people quite literally BUT I will not give up getting our money back ever single penny. The bank have been investigating this since we raised it and again I will not rest until this is resolved. We have two young children and both work very hard to provide for them and give them the best we can and we do not take lightly to companies like SPECIALISED HGV TRAINING SERVICES LTD or whatever name your called taking out money for goods and services not received. We have proof in black and white and as I said I won’t let these cowboys get away with this. And take down your website and your phone lines as it’s now false advertising it’s a joke. I hope this makes others feel a bit better as I’ve seen quite a few bad reviews on here and some god awful ones on social media threads and HGV forum so this just proves this is is all true. WORST COMPANY EVER.

Aug 07,2020i got signed up around the 11th of march and barely got going before the pandemic hit. ok so then a email saying there will be delays due to not being able to be tested . iv had a couple of messages saying they will be resuming once this all clears up then july 31st rolls around and the company has gone in to Voluntary Liquidation. huh ..... but apparently im still liable to pay the direct debt even thou nobody can guarantee i will get refunded. i do find it odd that other company's are doing training ....and i feel like i may of joined a sinking ship with out Realizing it.

Aug 04,2020Everything was going great until lockdown. Passed my theory and done cpc. My practical test was cancelled 2 day before I should have it. Not their fault I understand. But absolutely no word from them. No emails , no nothing. Was expecting a text to let me know when we would be starting again but it never came. I understand that times are hard what with covid and all but they never even sent me an email to say they gone bust. Just left me thinking everything was ok. . I've paid 720 of 3200, and they're not getting another penny off me. I've cancelled my direct debit. It's just the fact they never even let me know. Oh and they still happy to keep taking my money the robbers.

Aug 04,2020This will now be a very familiar tale, but having gone bust I'm now without a lot of money and no training! Hopefully the loan provider will either stop taking payments or find another provider. I will much more careful in the future paying for a service in advance.
