Dec 14,2024Exceptional customer contact and responsiveness - but see one snag below. Asked for offcut 3000 x 40 x 80 and it was in the order 85017 but you rang up on Thursday night and said hadn't got an offcut but would a 3000 x 40 x 80 be OK? I said yes and was asked to pay an extra £40 which I did. However what arrived was a scrap piece of heavily bored 2200x 40 x 80 which I think should have been a free offcut and is not a bespoke 3000 x 20 x 80 I paid for. Grateful if you could sort this out either with a £40 refund or a 3000x20x80. Kind regards, James

Dec 14,2024Delivery was due 9-11am Friday, nobody turned up, no message to say it was delayed. Then had a very loud knock at the door at 6.30am Saturday morning, woke our two children and scared hell out my partner. What are you doing!!

Dec 14,2024I wish I would be one of the customers that haven't had any issues but unfortunately I am one of the few where things didn't go right. We ordered compact laminate worktops for our dream kitchen at almost 1000£ total. The joints did not match and we had a chip on one front corner. Therefore the bevel edge that we added additionally didn't match and because of the joint being offset, one worktop sits flush on the wall and the other one creates a 3mm gap. We got in touch with customer service on the 19th of November. And never ever have they been proactively trying to negotiate a solution that works for both ends. Without us chasing, there is no answer. When you call, you only get excuses. I feel like they are just ignoring us and hoping we are giving up. For the last month we weren't able to finish our kitchen. ONE WEEK BEFORE CHRISTMAS now and it is the worst nightmare, as we still couldn't install the hob and sink. Christmas without a hob is not the Christmas I was looking forward to. We asked for a replacement or compensation of 40% as we have to buy an upstand or find some kind of solution to cover the gap. We were told that this wouldn't be profitable to them. They are not thinking of fixing their mistakes for the customer, they are thinking of their own profit. We were offered 10% at first, which we rejected. Then they offered 20% and a kit to fix the chip in the worktop ourselves. We did not accept either, as this would basically mean that we have to spend the compensation on a matching upstand to cover the gap and live with a compromise, paying the full price. We then suggested the 20% compensation and a matching upstand to cover the gap and had no response for the last 8 days again. I wish we would have been just one of the many happy customers but at this point I don't even know what to do anymore. My dream kitchen, that we worked months on and spend thousands of pounds for now turned into the room that I don't even want to be in.

Dec 14,2024Just had our worktops delivered and I have been super impressed by the quality of the worktops but mostly the service from House of Worktops. Regular communication on when they will be delivered, right up to the minute. Wonderful delivery service people who were both polite and helpful. I would highly recommend this company.

Dec 14,2024I had an excellent experience from House of Worktops, having purchased an 'extension' to my existing oak worktop. The Sales team were so patient and helpful. I really needed the item by today and the Sales and Delivery team pulled out all the stops to make it happen. An excellent tracking device meant I knew exactly where the delivery van was, right up to a few minutes before arriving st my door. Thanks to Aaron in Sales, several people in the Delivery office, plus Plamen and Bobi our delivery drivers, who were polite, helpful and courteous, delivering within the designated time slot. The product itself is just what I ordered excellent quality. I have also been put in touch with a 'personal carpenter' for 60 days, should I need any guidance for my project.
