Aug 11,2022From our initial call, to our farewell at the end, our Grand Slam Alaska and Alaska Dream Cruise experience was absolutely unbelievable! There was excellent communication throughout the entire trip. The accommodations, food and tours were amazing. Our land tour guide, Jeremy Riddle, was extremely knowledgeable about Alaska. The crew on the Admiralty Dream Cruise was friendly, informative and attentive. We were truly spoiled on this vacation!

Aug 09,2022I saw an advertisement for the Inside Passage cruise in the Anchorage Daily News and thought it was too good to be true. The John Hall agents must have thought I was crazy because I acted like they were suspicious during the booking process. I had not heard of John Hall and fully expected to receive a cancellation notice or just have no one show up in Sitka. It wasn't until 2 weeks before the trip when I received the itinerary and my beautiful and practical John Hall windbreaker that I believed it would happen. The trip surpassed all my expectations. The customer service was 5 star. We were treated like royalty everywhere we went (I am sure it didn't hurt that John Hall himself was with us). I feel like I got the bargain of the century with this trip. Everything was included, save a few optional excursions, and was of a very high standard. Their years of experience were evident in how any issues were dealt with promptly. I would definitely book with them again.

We were particularly impressed by Jeremy Riddle, our tour guide. His enthusiasm and extensive knowledge of the state made this one of our most memorable trips.

Aug 03,2022We thoroughly enjoyed our Grand Slam Alaska Tour with John Hall. We could tell that the tour company was well respected in Alaska, by the way everyone reacted when we showed our badge. Our bags were picked up right away when our bus pulled up to a hotel, and were usually in our room before we got there. Everything went smoothly and was very efficient.

Jul 22,2022Our tour guide Jeremy was very knowledgeable about all of the town's we visited. He pointed out interesting areas and gave the group time to photograph some amazing views. Accommodations were very comfortable and meals were excellent. Enjoyed every moment, relaxed group all staff were exceptional. Made me feel like family. I'd definitely recommend this experience to others. Saving for another .

Oct 09,2021We first met John Hall Sr at a travel talk in the Villages in April 2019, he had a us so impressed that we booked the Grand Slam/Cruise for late Aug 2020! We have never done a motorcoach or even a guided trip before! We finally got to go in Aug 2021 and WOW there are no words to describe how marvelous this trip was, so worth the wait! All thru COVID a the JH team (shot out to Jenny and Bridget) kept you informed and they did a fabulous job being able to pull this trip off! The few things we missed didn’t even seem to matter because Alaska is so beautiful and no better way to see it than with JH! We feel we got a better trip since we did the Catamaran cruise option for 2021. Our tour guides Mark and Sandy were over the top with fun and their knowledge of Alaska. The food was plentiful almost too much sometimes the Cataraman tour was awesome we saw so much wildlife and when you didn’t think it could get any better…..it did whales breeching and then bubble feeding OMG! We will never forget this trip as it far exceeded our expectations! Highly recommend choosing the Catamaran cruise over any of the large vessels. We are planning on returning again and will only do John Hall in the future!

Sep 10,2021Wow! The quality of this trip was equal to my trip to Israel. Both were memorable trips of a lifetime! The quality of the John Hall's staff AND the staff they hire in Alaska make this an exceptional value. As with any trip, you have to expect things to happen like rain, a long wait at a restaurant, etc. But that is all normal stuff. You aren't going to "Fantasy Island", but you will never have to haul your own luggage; you will never be hungry; you will ALWAYS have a John Hall's staff person available to you; and you will learn and see so much about ALASKA! We were blessed with beautiful weather, lots of wildlife; phenomenal marine life; and way fun bus and catamaran life with Mark and Sandy as our Tour Directors. :) So many laughs and lots of fun! One recommendation I would make would be to add a "lighter fare" to the meal options. For the average person, there was too much. We often ate late into the evening and some of us aren't used to having a large meal at that time. Another suggestion I would like to make is to offer crab legs for our farewell dinner. Steak, although tasty, just didn't fit the venue. This trip was truly amazing, but you have to be up for it! They keep you going. Some of the days are very long and most are jam packed with activities and minor stops along the way. I applaud John Hall's for all of the extra work that went into this trip during COVID. They really had to make some extra allowances and special arrangements. A job well done! We said this was a trip of a lifetime, but I am ready to go back. It truly was spectacular!

Aug 30,2021Top Notch Service from the time we landed to the time we departed. Every detail of the visit was addressed. We could not be happier with the service we received from Jon Hall's people and all their associates. This tour was so well thought out - I am grateful that I did not have to do this myself. They made maximum use of the time we had. We were always learning or seeing something new. It was almost overwhelming. It seems as though we were getting a history lesson while on a journey that just visually blew us away. Most of our tour was a picture postcard in motion. Pictures cannot truly depict the absolute beauty around every bend we took. We were in such awe that many times we forgot about taking a picture and tried to take it all in and save it in a mental picture. And it worked - I can still close my eyes and see some of the massive visual input we experienced

Aug 26,2021Hubby and I have been on dozens of group tours....from Tauck, Grand European, Trafalgar, Insight, UniWorld, Silverseas, etc. We have NEVER been treated as well as you all treated us! Gwyn was an absolute ray of sunshine! She is incredibly talented and so well suited for a tour leader. I 'think' that you know this...but please let me validate your suspicions about her. She is amazing. Our flight up to Alaska was over 5 hours late (due to a mechanical issue...according to Delta). So, at 2 am, we stagger off the plane. We make our way down the escalator to find Marlo's smiling face! Happy as a clam....couldn't do enough for us. Where do you get these people?? She and her staff dropped us/picked us up from our pre-trip accommodations and stayed in touch. Kept their eyes and ears on us. Simply amazing. The entire tour was amazing. Alaska was fabulous and you chose the most beautiful spots for us. The Sound (we were the only guests on the boat!) as spectacular and Denali was out and shining beautifully for our two days inside the park. We saw every animal that we could have hoped for! The food at Back Country Lodge was beyond delicious. The bus driver inside Denali was wonderful. All of the hotels were fine. The food was always fine. The covid precautions were sane and made everyone feel safe and comfortable. We look forward to our next adventure with you and your company. Let's do New Zealand!! We are ready to go! We will go anywhere with you.....

Aug 25,2021Jeremy was our tour guide. He was very accommodating of everyone's needs as well as informative and very personable. Although there were some places l would have liked to stay longer (like Denali), we would not have been able to do all of the things you provided by ourselves. It would be logistically impossible. l would absolutely use John Hall's Alaska for another vacation.
