All the process took nearly a week and electricity and water supply everything was finalised systematically before we move in. Especially Tamika is very supportive regarding everything we need and asked. There wasn't any ambiguity, all the things were so clear. I am glad to have a new agent on one under Gemma who has been very effective in communicating and answering queries. The previous agent was less satisfactory and indeed did not notify that a tenant was not paying rent until over 3 months the situation had occurred, not only this but the tenant caused major damages which were unrecoverable and costly. On another property it has been challenging, taking many months to do a minor repair and redecoration, always needing my follow up and communication with multiple parties. My major issue with this company is how they manage the rentals, there should always be an agreement if a tenant is unreachable that the agent can still enter for repairs or checking. Too often I get a response with 'tenant unavailable'. I do find that the cost of the service is quite high compared to the quality of service that I get from another agent in a different city, but I am unable to change agents due to the set up of these properties

Gemma is doing a remarkable job, whenever I have an issue she’s quick to respond and bring a solution to whatever problem I may be having and is also happy to answer any questions I have. The flat when I moved in was very good. Lamont made it easy to move in and have a nice affordable place to live.

Working with Lamont in regards to renting into our new apartment has been a very smooth experience. Mark has been extremely supportive and consistent with all of our needs, and it’s truly been a pleasure working alongside him.
We are unfortunately tied in to Lamont Estates who have been managing our flat since 2017. Despite a redacted agreement from the company that we bought the flat from (Prosperity, whom Lamonts are linked to) on a 50/50 basis of a rent guarantee, Lamonts failed to let the property for 2 years. During this time, I received minimal contact from Lamonts in pursuit. I then received an invoice for a replacement oven which I queried; the property had been empty for 2 years and had been fully refurbished on purchase. I was told that there had been squatters in the flat who had damaged the property and which Lamonts, as full managing agents, had been unaware of. As I'd also been paying enhanced council tax on this empty property for 2 years, I contacted the Property Ombudsman and a case was opened for which I received compensation for the cost of the oven in acknowledgement of the level of negligence on Lamont's behalf. A significant amount of time was taken up in pursuit and a sequence of denials and brush-offs from Lamont's letting agent and management team. As I am rating my recent experience , I have rated the company with 3-stars; the new managing agent for our flat has been effective in their communication and no issues have arisen to date. However, my faith in this company was lost a long time ago.

Was very easy getting in contact with Lamont Estates, responded very quickly and made things very simple and easy. The contact Mark Scandrett was very helpful and responsive.
