I was referred by mr sales agent (Ryder & Dutton) for a home purchase but Aslam has been irresponsive to the Vendor solicitor for completion, called the office several times but was told she is working from home
Great solicitors. Highly recommend the firm for a house purchase. Andrew and Nicole kept me informed the whole process in a very friendly and knowledgeable manner.
I got in contact with Andrew Smith who seemed to be quite eager to take on my case. But in the end it was a total negative response. I asked them what are the main reasons for why the compliance manager, doesn't want a solicitor to help me with my Mum's wishes, for me to have her house in my name, a gift from mother to son. I thought that they were a reputable professional firm with a four star rating on trust pilot. Just goes to show what a rubbish service they have to offer. I would deeply recommend that everyone who reads my message does not you use the Levi Solicitors service. Because they are useless. There price ranges are ridiculously to high.
A fantastic firm with great people who can be relied on to give the best service. Special mention to Ed, Ian and Alan together with Sasha who have worked so hard for us recently.
We had a five star experience. We dealt most of the time with the Leeds city centre team. As we were selling the property in Leeds and live over one hour away nearly all of the communication was done by phone or email. This went very smoothly from start to finish. We would like to give a big shout out to team Ayub And especially Claire who was overseeing the work. Also to the reception staff who helped to get us in touch with who we needed. Making this a five star experience. a five star experience.
My experience is similar to some of the other 1 star reviews. Chanelle and her team were slow, lacked initiative and when they made a mistake which could have derailed my entire sale the only reason it didn't was because i stepped in and took over. My sales progressor told me I should take up a new career, that I did a fantastic job in progressing my sale only I had to pay someone else whilst I did all the work. Levi's made the other solicitors look bad when in fact it was their mistakes and their lack of communication. Their complaints procedure is a joke. You know a company is bad when they have to bring a compliance manager who writes you a three page excuse. I suspect she is a very busy woman with so many unhappy customers! I also tried emailing the partner. Alan didn't care either.
The only good thing to come from my interaction with Levi Solicitors is that I can now trump any friends who tell me about their bad experiences with conveyancers. I have complained to their compliance team, but I would advise anyone considering this not to bother. I'll see how I get on with the ombudsman. Imagine, in your mind's eye, the professionalism that your brain conjures when thinking about the word "Solicitor"; Levi are the exact polar opposite of this. From minor things like missing attachments, typographical errors, poor spelling and grammar to sarcastic and unprofessional replies to emails - Levi have got you covered. Levi told me to chase the other side's Solicitor on their behalf, then admonished me for doing so. They then denied telling me to chase the other side's Solicitor, and the compliance team backed them up. Some might accuse them of being less than honest, but I don't routinely record my phone calls so I don't have the evidence to prove this. I don't really like making phone calls, but apparently I decided to call the other side of my own accord and then lied about being told to do it... I received an email that was addressed to someone else and when I queried it I got a response to say "Apologies that Im (sic) not a world class typist." The compliance team told me that it was a "genuine, human response" and not sarcastic or unprofessional. I guess anyone reading this will make their own mind up. They get one star because zero is not an option. I suppose they can have one star for being competitively priced. This is only if you haggle for a discount like, you know, when you buy a used car. If I had my time over again I would pay 4 times the price for someone that does an average job.
Very poor service. Every email we received from them was about more monies. Spent over £5000 still not sure what is happening!! poor communication. Very poor service. Disappointed.wasted 12 months with them. They should know the basic rules and requirements for any court cases. Nov transparency in fees charged!! Per hr rate charges increased from £125- £200 per hr in the middle of the case!!! Complete rip off!
Very Professional Service, provided by Denise Tuck, thank you.
I rang up Levi Solicitors and wanted to speak to Andrew Milburn but the reception put me initially through to Connor who was ok then Connor went on holiday and I needed to know what to do. I reached out and had the honour of speaking to Andrew Milburn who is the Head of Wills and Probate. If you want to hire anyone to help yo resolve disputed wills, probate do wills and help with Probate etc then I strongly and highly recommend Andrew Milburn no one else. If reception puts you through to anyone else say you want to speak to Andrew Milburn if you have him you have peace of mind. He listens to you, hears you, understands and treats you like how he would help and support like family. He is genuine and works with honesty and integrity. His expertise in navigating complex legal issues was evident and greatly appreciated. He is extremely thorough and his attention to detail made a significant difference. His people skills are second to none truly rare and he is iconic. His ability to communicate effectively and empathetically made the entire experience much more manageable and reassuring. Truly a breath of fresh air and his communication is second to none. He is so approachable and proactive. A true asset to the organisation and a great human being overall. I would only would hire him and no one else would say to all hire to Andrew Milburn. He is the Best. Fact!
Thank you all at Team Simpson for all your help in our recent Sale. Communication was excellent, keeping us informed at every stage of the process and always quick to answer when we contacted them with any queries. Special thanks to Susan for her professionalism. We would not hesitate to use Levi’s again.
I made my will with Andrew Milburn. The service was friendly, informative and prompt. He was very patient with my questions.
Why when you are supposed to be dealing with professional people do you have to get in touch with them to explain when you go shopping and get to the tills you pay the amount not an imaginary amount more than the till says but what sounds right to you an absolute farce 2 years 4 months in the making
I offered to purchase an apartment in Leeds city centre in Feb 2023. I requested a quotation on their company website and received a very quick response from the solicitor. Unfortunately that was the only verbal communication I have received. After I confirmed to use their services, I received an email advising me that under the Building Safety Act (BSA), it is risky to buy apartment that is taller than 11m and I should find another property. I was very confused and I tried to contact the solicitor but could not get a verbal communication. Then I sent email and received another reply that asked me to pay £600 additional charge if I would like to proceed. The deal was cancelled because seller side problem so I cancelled before payment the £600. All in all, I may have received 3 or 4 emails, not facilitating the deal but advised me to cancel the deal. Now I was requested to pay £210 for those correspondence. I feel very upset that I have to pay to a solicitor that asked me not to purchase the apartment that I want to buy! Knowing that this solicitor is not capable on doing documents for apartments, I tried to find other solicitors to help me. I have offered to buy another apartment and has been turned down by 3 solicitors as they do not do transaction of apartment that has to comply with the building safety act. I think it is a more responsible way than to send message asking a client to cancel the deal but charge for the correspondence. I get a solicitor who can help me to purchase an apartment in the same building, which is taller than 11m and I have moved in in August 2023.
I used Levi Solicitors LLP as my conveyancer for my first house purchase. They were excellent! From house viewing to getting the keys took just 3 months. I had been getting pressure from Strike who I had viewed a property with to use their solicitors for £1,900. Aside from the cost I looked up their reviews and they were terrible. Despite getting a lot of heat from Strike I stood my ground and appointed Levi's as they had a branch local to me in Leeds. The first house I put an offer in the survey results came back and there was around £50,000 worth of work needed just to get the property liveable. I pulled out of the sale and Levi's solicitors charged me no fee. 6 weeks later I found my now dream house and Levi's picked my file back up and Scott Dickinson, my conveyancer was so friendly and patient when I had questions and got the sale completed in 13 weeks. If you're buying a house use them. I got a first time buyers discount and was charged less than £1,500 - a very competitive rate for outstanding service. Highly recommended.
They decided to stop acting on my behalf after a couple of months when it became apparent the BSA22 may be applicable. I contacted the freeholder who has confirmed building is exempt and my new solicitor doesn’t understand what the issue was to begin with. They wasted my time and money.
In a world of mediocrity, Team Wilson at Levi proved themselves to be caring, courteous and ultra professional. Lisa, Fiona and everyone there proved themselves to be an energetic team, determined to provide a top service in what is accepted to be one of the most frustrating aspects of legal work, namely conveyancing, with all the exasperation and awkwardness of having to deal with third parties et al. Worth 5 stars.
A big thank you to Team Wilson, particularly Fiona Firth for all her help with the purchase of our first home. The process took just under three months, and we couldn't be happier. Would recommend for conveyancing!
Garbage service don't do nothing useless

May 20,2025Told twice to manage my expectations when I asked for an update and to confirm they had received paperwork- this was a week later as I hadn't heard from them. Told we were not a priority at this moment Took 2 weeks to realise that they were acting on behalf of both vendor and purchaser Argued in regards to return of deposit, when they themselves stated that I could have it back because after 4 weeks they hadn't done anything legally and therefore no charge. Useless and very condescending on both phone and email.
